A Gun Ban America Needs

America needs a gun ban.

Yes, a ban that denies possession, transfer and ownership of firearms.

I say that as a gun owner myself. I say this as a strong defender of the Second Amendment to the Constitution. I say it with the belief the Second Amendment empowers American citizens to defend their sacred honor, their homes and families and to help “defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.”

It is the phrase “all enemies foreign and domestic” that leads me to endorse a gun ban.

The Second Amendment is clear:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

By “people” is meant the citizens of these United States and here is the crux of my gun ban:

No person who is not a citizen of the United States or is an agent, or member of an organization that is an agent, of a foreign power or potentate or is reasonably believed to be engaged or about to engage in international terrorist or international narcotics activities, shall have the right to possess, transfer, keep, hold, or train with any form make and model of firearm.

That is a gun ban I think America needs – a ban on illegal immigrants, terrorists or insurgents owning guns.

This ban would make it a criminal act for a foreign national or resident member of a terrorist organization to possess a firearm in the United States. It would make it unlawful for members of known drug trafficking organizations to possess or train with firearms in America. It means that clandestine members of the Muslim Brotherhood, naturalized or not, who are in America for the purpose of “civilizational jihad” and who are members of a self-declared “transnational global jihad” movement, who constitute in fact, words and deeds an insurgency in America, will not be legally allowed to own possess and train with firearms-which their own internal documents indicate they have been doing in “Ikhwan camps” across America. Americans legally charged with being a member of this “threat organization” who have had any encounter with a firearm will have violated US laws.

This ban would make it unlawful for illegal aliens to own, possess, hold or transfer a firearm. That would mean that the Virginia Tech shooter, Cho Seung-Hui, who massacred 32 students, would not have been legally able to purchase the firearms he used in those killings. It would mean that Jose Carranza the illegal immigrant from Peru and two accomplices, who executed the four college students in Newark, N.J., already committed a crime by the mere possession of firearms. They would not have legally been allowed to buy their guns.

Yes, this is a gun ban America needs and the National Rifle Association, an organization that I support, should champion this ban.

The NRA exists for the right of American citizens to own firearms-not to advance the sales of the firearms industry. The NRA exists to defend America and America needs this gun ban for its defense.

The Second Amendment to the Constitution exists to defend Americans and American civilization and our very Constitution against threats foreign and domestic. It should never be construed to allow illegal aliens to be armed to murder our citizens or to arm transnational criminal and terrorist organizations and foreign insurgencies like the Muslim Brotherhood.

This is a gun ban that people and policymakers all across the political spectrum can agree is needed.

I say guns for American citizens and no one else-not illegal aliens, not terrorist and drug traffickers or members of the global jihad seeking the overthrow of my country.

Joseph Myers is a firearms owner. He recommends loyal American citizens possess quality assault weapons for homeland defense.
