Obama and His Good Ol' Boys

“Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.”

The news and blogs are buzzing about Obama’s all-male golf games, and National Organization of Women president Terry O’Neill is upset that Obama surrounds himself with men both in and out of the White House:

Is this much ado about nothing? O’Neill says no.

“Relationships get built in those more informal settings,” O’Neill told ABC News, “and the relationships have a huge impact on the influence an individual has. We know what happens when we segregated whether it by race or whether it by gender — you end up with first-class citizens and you end up with second-class citizens.”

O’Neill told ABC News’ Mike Callahan, “we need to see the White House leading the way for desegregating the work places all around the country and it is troubling.”

Is O’Neill correct? Should Obama include more women?

If you know anything about me or my stance on men’s rights, you will know that typically I would not consider this a big deal in and of itself. Sure, there are men who are in power in small concentrated areas, but as Scott Adams — the writer of the Dilbert books and cartoons — says: “Those are other men.” Most men are just average Joes trying to get through the day.

Yet I can’t help but feel that in the case of Obama and his frat boy White House, something is amiss.

This president and his administration need to live up to the very rule that helped get Obama elected: Diversity is one of the most fundamentally important goals of our time. It would be hypocritical for liberals to accept anything less than standing by their goal of achieving 100 percent diversity.

Liberals expect complete adherence of conservatives to their playbook, and of anyone else who doesn’t toe the liberal party line, so why should they be exempt?

Saul Alinsky, author of Rules for Radicals, points out an important point for community organizers (which I am now anointing myself):

Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.

The problem here is liberal hypocrisy. Liberals tell everyone else, especially conservatives, that they must stand up to certain morals and rules that are almost impossible to follow. And we allow that. People don’t bat an eye when liberals are racist, but they do allow them to concoct lies about Rush Limbaugh being discriminatory and uphold it as the gospel truth.

This has to end. Obama must be called out on his good ol’ boy network. It is unfair, unjust, and discriminatory. He should be forced to put equal numbers of men and women in the White House, on the basketball court, on the golf course, and on his staff. Anything less would be hypocritical and must be considered blasphemy to the liberal playbook that Obama and his administration so greatly adhere to.

Next time I hear Obama yelling “Fore!”, I expect half the players on the course to be female. I expect Obama to enforce the liberal utopia of proper ratios of male, female, black, white, etc., for whatever team he is on — qualifications take a backseat to the liberal vision of diversity.

“Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.” Don’t you agree?
