Normal people don’t respond well to being manipulated.
So, the irony is that, by cutting these programs, RFK Jr. is actually doing more to foster trust in the process than the previous regime.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is abruptly terminating at least 33 research grants for projects studying why some people are hesitant to receive vaccines or evaluating strategies that could encourage vaccine uptake, Science has learned. An additional nine grants may be modified or cut back. Scientists who received these grants began to receive termination letters this evening.
A person with direct knowledge of the situation says NIH has also requested lists of projects involving messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines, which some vaccine skeptics think are unsafe because they believe, without evidence*, that the vaccines could modify DNA or cause various health issues. The agency is also seeking a list of collaborations between NIH researchers and international partners on any topic. The terminations appear to be part of the agency’s efforts to defund research that does not align with policies backed by President Donald Trump and Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.—a noted vaccine skeptic.

Let’s assume for a moment that the Public Health™ authorities legitimately want to improve their public relations.
They might do any of the following: suspend the ever-revolving door between the regulatory bodies like the FDA and the industries they purport to regulate, cut the legal immunity carve-out granted to the vaccine industry that makes it exempt from any legal liability for the ill effects of its shots, outlaw “Brought to You By Pfizer™” media sponsorships that make any thinking person suspicious of what they hear about vaccines on the “news”; stop funding “vaccine hesitancy” research like the kind that RFK Jr. just cut and instead channel all those resources into guaranteeing vaccine safety via rigorous, fully transparent studies.

Of course, being incapable of decency or honesty, the previous regime did none of that. Instead, it funded cringey propaganda productions like this aimed at the “vaccine-hestitant.”
Continuing:Denis Nash, an epidemiologist at the City University of New York whose grant is on the list but who has not yet received a termination letter, says it will affect his work testing vaccine messaging strategies for people with mental health disorders and studying barriers such as misinformation and disinformation. “Ceasing to support research on the uptake of safe and effective vaccines does not eliminate the underlying challenges related to low vaccine uptake—it exacerbates them,” he says.
Instead of complaining to the media, Denis Nash should probably just be grateful he’s not in a prison cell right now for his active complicity in arguably the biggest crime in world history. If it were up to me, he’d be under the jail.
