NIH to gender scientists on the public dole: You’re fired!
“This award no longer effectuates agency priorities” is the sanitized, bureaucratic way of saying “you’re totally useless to us, now go get a real job.”

Several active research grants related to studies involving LGBTQ+ issues, gender identity and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are being canceled at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) because they allegedly do not meet the "priorities" of the current administration…
According to copies of some of the termination letters, viewed by ABC News, canceled grants involved research around "transgender issues" and "gender identity," including studying stress in older LGBTQ+ adults and the epidemiology of Alzheimer's disease and other dementia in LGBTQ+ older adults…
"This award no longer effectuates agency priorities," all of the letters read. "Research programs based on gender identity are often unscientific, have little identifiable return on investment, and do nothing to enhance the health of many Americans. Many such studies ignore, rather than seriously examine, biological realities. It is the policy of NIH not to prioritize these research programs."

Atlanta pastor demands Target boycott for Lent
In a profane commingling of Christian tradition with wokeism, an Atlanta pastor has called for a “Target Fast” to commemorate Lent in the service of pressuring the company to walk back its recent jettisoning of various DEI schemes.

A 40-day boycott of Target that calls for supporters to give up shopping at the company’s stores during the Lenten period kicked off this week, to protest the discount retailer’s decision to end some of its diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives...
The Rev. Jamal Bryant, senior pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church near Atlanta, organized the “Target Fast” that began Wednesday — the first day of Lent — along with other faith and civil rights leaders. A website for participants points to the spending power of Black Americans and described the boycott as “a spiritual act of resistance.”

In the throes of BLM hysteria five years ago, it might have seemed impossible to imagine we would ever get out from under the intense racial antagonism merrily fueled by the Democrats and permanent Washington.
In the grand scheme of things, though, a five-year bout of social insanity followed by a restoration of sanity is the norm.

On Monday, construction crews began dismantling the Black Lives Matter (BLM) mural in Washington, D.C., just down the street from President Donald Trump‘s official residence.
The large, yellow mural, which was part of a larger plaza, was painted by the city following nationwide protests over the death of George Floyd, a Black man killed by Minneapolis police, in 2020.
Plans to remove the mural were announced by Washington, D.C. mayor Muriel Bowser after Republican lawmakers threatened to cut millions in transportation funding. Bowser was responsible for the painting of the mural.
