I have offered here before an assessment that I stand behind, which is that the White House transcriptionist tasked with turning DEI Labradoodle KJP’s ironic nonsense — she is, after all, an alleged communications professional who can’t communicate any better than your average toddler — into intelligible English is, without a doubt, the hardest-working man/woman/non-binary in Washington D.C.
However much he/she/zhe gets paid, it’s probably not fair compensation.

I admit: I’ve written way more articles about the White House press secretary over the past several years than the topic probably deserves. And yes, I concede that I’m milking the KJP situation for all it’s worth in the waning days of the Brandon administration.
So sue me.
There is a real substantive point here, though, in addition to bullying the First Immigrant Lesbian Person of Color™ to hold the title of Press Secretary for its own sake. And this is it: her appointment to the position in the first place was a slap in the face to the American public who pays her salary.
Not only does she lie for a living to the same people who supply her livelihood like all of her predecessors did, which is contemptible enough; she does it spectacularly poorly — like, really, really not well.
To add insult to injury, anyone with any sense looking at this seemingly unending trainwreck understands that the only reason she wasn’t fired on Day One or ever since, after her mentor Jen Psaki moved on to corporate state media MSNBC to basically do the same thing she did at the White House podium — disseminate government lies on behalf of the Democrat Party and permanent Washington, but for way more money — is that Karine is a treasured BIPOC homosexual immigrant whose firing would stir up a s***storm if the Brandon entity’s handlers ever cut her loose.

At the podium, Karine — like her boss, as described by staffers behind the scenes who suddenly mustered the courage to speak out (anonymously) about the president’s dementia after the ball game was over — has “good days" and “bad days" (by her standards; we have to grade on a curve for Equity™).
Her most recent and final press conference of the year, on Dec. 20, was one of the latter.
I knew the put-upon transcriptionist was going to have his work cut out for him when she opened by calling the Italian president “Sergio Marttarella” (there’s no “r” before the “t”) and the prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, “Meleni.”
It was all downhill from there as she struggled valiantly with subject-verb agreement and brutally turned what should have been singular nouns into plural nouns and vice-versa.
Note the ungodly frequency of hyphens so as to make it appear she spoke in complete sentences.
Via Whitehouse.gov (emphasis added):
Merry Xmas, White House transcriptionist! You’ve earned yourself a few gallons of well-deserved eggnog. So, as we announced yesterday, the president will travel to Rome, Italy, in early January to meet separately with His Holiness Pope Francis; president of Italy, Sergio Marttarella [Mattarella]; and prime minister of Italy Meleni — Meloni, pardon me — Giorgia Meloni…
Switching gears just for a second here. Today, President Biden announced student debt cancelation for another 55,000 public service — public service workers, bringing the total number in- — of individuals who have been approved for student debt relief under his administration to nearly 5 million people.
The pe- — the people approved for debts cancelation today include teachers, nurses, service members, law enforcement officials, and other public service workers who have dedicated their lives to giving back to their communities and who are finally earning the relief they are entitled to under the law…
And finally, yesterday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection published their November 2024 data, which shows that since President Biden’s — announced new executive actions to secure the border on June 4th, unlawful border crossing have dropped by more than 60 percent. That’s the lowest levels in four and a half years…
Republican needs to stop playing politics with a government shutdown. And they are doing the bidding — they’re doing the bil- — bidding of their billionaire friends — that’s what we’re seeing — at the expense of hardworking Americans.
And just to quote you something that we saw today, and I’m sure you all saw from the poach- — Punchbowl News, which is, and I quote, “This has been an absolute disastrous week for the speaker; the president-elect, Donald Trump; and Republicans on — on Capitol Hill.”…
And let’s not forget, we’re ta- — not just — when we talk about keeping the government opening — open, we’re talking about providing fu- — funds for disasters — disaster recovery efforts, loweri- — to lower costs of prescription drugs. That’s what we’re talking about.
