On Day Three of the post-election liberal copium pandemic, which is likely to go on for years, the spokeswomen of the party of unity and tolerance and whatever over at The View went full-bore voter-shaming.

At least Sunny Hostin, the most hardcore racist and misandrist on the panel, perhaps deserves credit for honestly expressing what most dyed-in-the-wool liberals actually think about the pro-Trump rabble.
Via Entertainment Weekly (emphasis added):
Legal expert Sunny Hostin said she'd like to "reframe the conversation" and shift blame to bigger social issues in the country at large. "The more relevant question is, what is wrong with America? What is wrong with our country, that the Republican party would choose as a candidate and support a candidate who is an insurrectionist, who is an election denier, who is a twice-impeached, 34-count convicted felon," said Hostin, 56. "What is wrong with this country that they would choose a message of divisiveness, of xenophobia, of racism, of misogyny, over a message of inclusiveness, a message for the people, by the people, of the people? That's what the problem is. It's the Republican party."
Griffin then pointed out to Hostin that Trump not only triumphed in the electoral tally, but also won the popular vote. "Well, then, what's wrong with America?" Hostin replied, prompting Joy Behar, 82, to point out Democrats' work in implementing Obamacare, fighting to protect Medicaid, and more — all of which, she said, indicate a willingness to protect blue-collar people in the United States.
Our stalwart colleagues over at Town Hall got the clip.

At one point in the painful four-minute clip, Hostin has the temerity to demand that voters — not retarded pundits like her — need to be “introspective” about why they didn’t vote like she told them to.
This kind of rhetoric vindicates in spades Trump’s notorious line that “I am your retribution” — meaning the flyover Deplorables’ retribution — which was roundly criticized by the same corporate media that The View epitomizes.
They don’t just hate Trump; they hate you. Trump is the proxy punching bag for you.
When they call Trump a fascist, they mean you are a fascist. When they say he’s racist, they mean you are racist. When they smear him as sexist, they mean you hate women.

The only half-honest thing Hillary ever said on the 2016 campaign trail was that half of all Trump voters belong in the “Deplorable basket” — half-honest because she really would have preferred to put them all in the basket, but likely got talked out of it by her consultants.
It’ll be interesting to see where the party takes things from here: will it double down on its stupid and repugnant voter-shaming tactics that got it trounced, even with likely vote-rigging yet again, or will it actually learn something and offer a better vision than its opposition next time around?
Let’s not hold our breath for the latter option — which is actually fine. Why intervene when they dig their own political grave?
