Corrupt Teachers’ Union Boss Dances on Grave of ‘Moms for Liberty’

Randi Weingarten, leader of the largest public school teachers’ union in the United States, took a victory lap recently on cancerous Social Justice™ outlet Majority Report to celebrate the purported demise of the parental rights group Moms for Liberty.

The group, among other policy positions, opposes the teaching of transgenderism and race hate to kindergarteners in public schools, which obviously makes them domestic terrorist Deplorables.

The host and Weingarten are apparently referencing the results of recent school board elections that didn’t go totally in favor of candidates that Moms for Liberty endorsed.

Via Associated Press (emphasis added):

Voters in some of the highest-profile school board elections across the U.S. rebuked conservative candidates in local school board elections who want to ban books and restrict classroom conversations on race and gender.

In recent years, down-ballot elections have become proxy votes for polarizing national issues. Liberal and moderate candidates took control in high-profile races Tuesday in conservative Iowa, as well as swing states Pennsylvania and Virginia.

The American Federation of Teachers said candidates publicly endorsed by conservative groups such as Moms for Liberty and the 1776 Project lost about 70% of their races nationally in elections this week — a tally those groups dispute.

“They don’t want to engage in this banning of books or censoring of honest history or undermining who kids are,” Randi Weingarten, the teachers union president told The Associated Press on Wednesday, characterizing the candidates who won as “pro-public school.”

This seems a tad disingenuous. Given that the entire corporate state media, the teachers’ unions, and the government are fully aligned against Moms for Liberty and associated groups, I would posit that winning 30% of their elections is a moderate success.

Let’s consider for a moment what would seem like the odd dynamics of this ongoing melodramatic conflict between parents and public school teachers’ unions. Ostensibly, the teachers’ unions and the teachers are tasked with serving the children they teach and their parents — as in, the public who pays their salaries even when they don’t work for a year and a half for Public Health™.

In the context of private sector, this relationship is tantamount to that of a business with its customers: “the customer is always right,” as the saying goes.

So, by the logic of the market, if the customer (parent) doesn’t want his kid sodomized with a cucumber for gender equity during Pride Month™, the customer ought to get his way.

But because public school teachers rely on public funding and use the public union to protect their interests, they have no incentive to improve their service; they are going to collect their checks anyway. Most parents have nowhere else to go, as they have to work (so homeschooling is off of the table) and they can’t afford private options.

So the parents and their kids just have to take it: all of the forced masking and the transgender indoctrination and teaching white kids they are satanic and whatever else the schools want to do to their kids. Should they dare to complain, people like Weingarten smear them as “domestic extremists” and sic the DOJ on them.
