It's Long Past Time to Give the Commies the Nazi Treatment

It's Victims of Communism Day, and what better way to celebrate than by giving them a taste of the oppression they work so hard to impose on everyone else?

I'm exaggerating. I think. But maybe not by much.

By now you've probably seen the infamous — hysterically so — press conference video of that privileged young jihadi LARPer demanding that Columbia University bring food to her and her fellow lefties barricaded inside. "This is basic humanitarian aid we're asking for," she whined, even though the school's cafeterias and restaurants remained open and serving food to all students, even the avowed Marxists.

Here's the clip.

She's a PhD student named Johannah King-Slutzky, who says her goal "is to write a prehistory of metabolic rift, Marx's term for the disruption of energy circuits caused by industrialization under capitalism." Her profile continues, "I am particularly interested in theories of the imagination and poetry as interpreted through a Marxian lens in order to update and propose an alternative to historicist ideological critiques of the Romantic imagination."

Useless Marxists demanding food because they can't be bothered to go feed themselves — as Noah Pollack quipped, "The Babylon Bee couldn't top this if they tried." Yet, given a second term — or maybe just a couple of months for the furor to die down — Presidentish Joe Biden will look for a way to "forgive" her student debt and plant it on our shoulders.

Communism and Nazism, I'm about the jillionth person to remind you, are two sides of the same collectivist coin. Lest you think murderous antisemitism was strictly a Nazi thing, Soviet strongman Joseph Stalin is believed to have been planning a nationwide pogrom against the Jews at the time of his death. I'm sure it wouldn't have been as well-organized as the Holocaust, but for untold numbers of Soviet Jews, it would have proven just as deadly.

ASIDE: Jews, as I wrote last week, have long been convenient scapegoats — and eventually victims — for authoritarian regimes of all stripes.

We drummed Nazis out of polite society, as well we should have. We allowed Marxists to take control of our education system. We used to have the best public education system and public and private universities in the world. Now the "best" of them churn out souls like this one, spotted Tuesday at Northwestern:

"If you want to know what kind of person is willing to herd other people into boxcars," I posted to TwitterX, "look into those eyes."

Nazi paraphernalia is all but verboten, but Che shirts are still hip. Neither should be acceptable.

Most college students are there for the usual reasons: drinking, sex, and paying just enough attention to get a decent job. But there are enough Marxists with murder in their hearts — faculty and students alike — to force libertarianish me to conclude that government action is probably required to root them out. And keep them out.

It's the academy's job to protect and promote the culture it represents. The West as we know it can't survive with an academy devoted to its destruction. And a nation that tolerates or popularizes Communists will eventually be ruled by them.
