There’s a Chance He Means It

“We’ve been disappointed that Obama has been a tepid regulator” in his first term, [OMB Watch regulatory director] Randy Rabinowitz said, adding that she hopes the administration “moves more vigorously to protect the public from harm” in a second term.
I suppose in the way that I’m a tepid drinker or Glenn Reynolds is a tepid blogger or Bill Whittle is a tepid talker or Nancy Pelosi is a tepid Botoxer or…
Feel free to finish up by adding your own.

I’m a tepid Yankees fan.
And I’d be a tepid procrastinator, but that takes too much work.
80′s hair bands are tepid cross-dressers
I once thought I was going to get rich on my idea of starting a metal band called “Spandex & Perms.”
Obama is a “tepid regulator” in the sense that not all of his campaign promises have been fulfilled. (Has the rise of the oceans slowed yet? Has the planet begun to heal yet? Has he finished his waffle yet? Okay, one out of three isn’t bad.)
And yet they re-elected him, no doubt to give him another chance because he’s a nice guy and he tries so hard. Well, I guess this makes sense… to someone ignorant enough of civics to call the President a “regulator”. (What regulations is the President responsible for enacting, exactly?)
and i’m tepidly anti-obama
and i am tepidly anti-obama
Obama is a tepid regulator like I was a tepid troll-stomper on my own website.
like:
Hammas is filled with tepid anti-Semites;
Boehner is a tepid accommodator;
Rachel Maddow is a tepid lesbian;
Ed Schultz is a tepid fascist;
Barry Bonds was a tepid steroid user;
I’ve tepidly made my point.
Keith Richards is a tepid body.
Journ0lism is tepidly leftist.
I want Uncle Barry to join in here.
Barry, put ‘tepid regulator’ and ‘my administration’ in the same sentence.
… Mr. Rabinowitz is a tepid thinker.
