Democrats Admit: Romney Way Up with Indies
Democracy Corps — that’s James Carville and Stan Greenberg’s polling outfit — has Romney up 16 points with independents.
16 points.
Voter ID typically runs low-to-mid 30s for Republicans and Democrats alike, leaving the remainder as Independents. What’s that mean? If Carville and Greenberg have it right (and many other polls show Romney way up with Indies), it can mean only one thing: Democrats are being oversampled, and grossly.
Admittedly, voter ID is a tricky thing to measure, and trickier still to sample. But most polls I’ve seen have had D samples the same or higher than in 2008, when Black Jesus was still bringing us the hope and change and lowering the oceans and all that stuff. And they’ve R samples the same or lower than 2008, even though the GOP managed to flip 63 House seats in 2010.
The game is rigged. Don’t let that stop you from playing.

– drink, don’t you think?
The game’s not rigged, just the reporting. And we have enough news sources out there so they can’t steal the election the way they can rig the polls.
Don’t worry, be happy. Then don’t be cocky, and get out there and crush the bastards.
So we know he is going to get every Republican who voted for McCain and now we know that Romney is going to get a very high percentage of independents but all the polls still telling us that its “neck and neck”.
Riiiight…
I’m telling you its a blowout for Romney, its not even going to be close. Like Greg Gutfield says: “Voting for Obama this time is like voting for four more years of the flu”.
If Carville and Greenberg have it right (and many other polls show Romney way up with Indies), it can mean only one thing: Democrats are being oversampled, and grossly.
Carville is a rabidly partisan hack, but he’s not stupid, and he’s been sounding the “We can lose this” alarm for months.
I hope the Romney team has considered the possibility that the D’s are going to resort to the ‘stolen election’ ploy if he wins, and have retained sufficient legal counsel to counteract every D attempt to litigate the election out from under him.
“Surely the game is rigged, but don’t let that stop you. If you don’t play you can’t win.” Robert A. Heinlein.
And Rosignol, at every campaign event, and even over email, the Romney team is signing up lawyers. I think it’s not a legal dispute the democrats have in mind, but the sort of discrediting whisper campaign they pulled on Bush after they lost in 2000 and then after 2004. They’re going to use these polls to say the republicans used massive fraud. This allows them to claim “both sides cheat” and get idiots to tolerate their cheating. HOWEVER if they THINK that bullshit will work the second time around with convincing the man on the street the election was “stolen” — they’re out of their fuzzy little minds. First, that ploy is hard to pull twice. Second, when they pulled that before the face of the Democrats was good ol’ Bill who was many things but not a lunatic and a raging incompetent. This time, with Obama on the radar, they’re more likely to get people going “now, these polls, then…” (It’s already like that in Europe.)
Oh, and don’t leave behind that beyond the polls being slanted, unless they get under my skin I tell them what they want to hear. I’m sure I’m not alone. Anyone from the hard paranoids “He’s going to call of the election,” hard paranoids, to people like me who think if they believe the polls they won’t manufacture enough votes, are cooking the books ALREADY when talking to pollsters, in what we view as self defense.
call off. Stoopid fingers.
So if they claim “massive election fraud” does that mean they be in favor of voter ID legislation?
Of course not.
