Who Are You Calling a Liberator, Bub?

Trifecta: Do we have Bush or Obama to thank for the rebel advance in Libya? Obama ran against the Bush Doctrine and other Bush era security measures. Now these polices are delivering results for Barack Obama. Is it time Obama recognized the accomplishments of President Bush?

It’s gotta count in Obama’s favor that he got the Europeans to do the heavy lifting on this one, Libya being in their front yard and all.
I’m still trying to figure out what we’re cheering for. Yeah, Qaddafi sucked, but do we have any earthly idea what will replace him? Why is it any of our business? It’s only a “victory” if things improve significantly and over the long run, and that will probably take a decade (or more) to sort out.
Kinda like the GOP nomination process – let’s go for whoever sounds good, has a superficially good record, and / or a nice chest. Or kinda like the Dems when they nominated Obama. Let’s just do whatever feels good without thinking it through and hope for the best. What’s the worst thing that can happen? (answer: “Ooops… we guess there wasn’t any WMD threat, they didn’t all line up and throw flowers at our feet when we walked into Baghdad, and centuries-old ethnic, tribal, and religious blood hatred doesn’t magically vanish when democracy is imposed. Whooda thunk?”)
