Chicago Tea Party

So much for calming the markets.
Seriously — the Merc in open revolt? Is this precedented in US history? I can’t think of another example quite like it.
Congratulations, Mr. President. It took you one day under a month to destroy trader confidence. Just imagine what you can destroy in do with the remaining 47!

I started the chicagoteaparty.blogspot.com
Come join the fun!
Hopefully THIS time the sounds of a raucous tea party won’t be followed by the sounds of gunfire, although I doubt we’ll be so fortunate.
But look on the bright side – almost all our military is overseas chasing shadows of WMD’s and failing to beat a bunch of ragtag Arabs. Up to and including the National Guard. If someone wants to threaten force of arms to make Clowngress shape up, now’s the time. While the cats are away the mice will play…
Impeach Obama!
(am I the first to say that?)
I got out of the market recently. I don’t care how much I lost. I’d rather have CASH than bear the risk of a NOTHING market dictated by an incompetent “constitutional scholar”.
Hearing these traders was like music to my ears. BRING ON THE TEA PARTY!
Obama and his team are a piece of work. I veer between thinking they don’t know what they’re doing or that they are out to destroy American capitalism–and America with it.
It was always a battle in Obama between his political opportunism and his leftist sympathies. Now we have the worst of both.
From NRO(public reaction to Rick Santelli) :
snip.
Santelli: They thought I was uncharitable, got up on the wrong side of the bed, had no compassion for people who are going through rough times, and that isn’t at all the issue. The issue is, you can’t pick out 8 or 9 percent and give them things that weaken the 90 or 92 percent who are carrying the water. You need to come up with legislation that may help the people that need it but not hurt the people that… listen, my 401k’s a 201k, my kid’s college tuition is going up 10 percent. This is tough for everybody. Maybe a tax break, maybe everybody who has a house gets something. They need to quit picking winners and losers, and they have to quit alienating the classes. You have to figure out a way to float all boats, and I think that’s where the administration has gone wrong, and I think that’s the nerve I hit.

“Quit alienating the classes”? Just wheres the fun in that Rick? You dont think we sent those guys to washington just to be legislators do you? You just havent lived until you’ve done a little social engineering with the masses.
This is exploding all over the net. I wouldn’t be surprised if some sort of event really did happen. There was a good line here:

“Santelli’s created the sort of phenomenon that most PR agencies would sacrifice babies to get their hands on. I would bet an enormous bag of money that this will absolutely not be the last time we hear about the CTP.”
The Tea Party theme seems to be popular now.
We’ve been calling for something since the “stimulus” bill was introduced.
