The electrician cut a channel in the foundation of the house, to run power into the wet bar island.
As you can imagine, there is now a fine (and in some places, quite thick) coating of cement dust on everything we own.
No blogging today.

I happen to be writing a series of articles on the National Electrical Code and I can tell you with some authority that there is nothing in the code that proscribes f***ing up people’s houses and personal belongings. As long as the circuits are kosher. Nothing about plumber’s butt either. Sorry.
Electricians don’t care about the dust. They’re not going to clean it up. And as soon as you do, they’ll have some reason why they have to make another mess. Or it’ll be the guy who fixes the crack in the sheet rock. He’ll sand it when he’s done all right.
The whole thing just brings back such angst. And the plumber with the Sawzall–watch out for that SOB.
