Read this and smile.
Here’s a snippet from Mike Krempasky to whet your appetite:
About 10 minutes ago, a resolution was introduced by Tom Cole (R-OK). “Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that France, Germany and Russia can initially best contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq by the forgiveness of outstanding debt between both Iraq and France, Iraq and Germany, and Iraq and Russia.”
Please oh please oh please oh please oh please let it pass.

Just wrote my representative, Jeff Flake (R-AZ)
I think this is a great idea!
You mean we get to help Iraq AND punish the weasels? Sign me up!
Oh, damn, that is beautiful.
President Cole? Sounds almost as apt as King Cole.
Stephen: Great job on the site re-design! Finally – an esthetic worthy of you.
I made this point over at oliverwillis.com, but I think it bears repeating…France/Germany/Russia want the people of a democratic Iraq to pay the creditors who helped torture and enslave them over the past 12+ years…and the UN wants to continue to get their cut of a program to feed/help the destitute victims of a madman they were unable to do anything about.
Now why should we listen to these people?
Russia and France can collect their Iraqi debt when the U.S. is repaid for the Soviet debts that the Russians reneged on and the French WWII, etc. debt.
