The Trump campaign put out a bombastic statement in response to being disinvited to speak at the RedState gathering that can only be described as “vintage Trump.”

The candidate walked back his remarks about Megyn Kelly, saying he didn’t mean what people think he meant (only a deviant would think so), and attacked Erick Erickson, calling him “a total loser.” The Donald made a point of reminding the public that the face of Red State has said some pretty controversial things in his time, too.
