From Digitas Daily, watch MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell roll her eyes when she talks about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while interviewing Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif on Tuesday.
Liberals like to talk about conservatives being on the “wrong side of history” (whatever that means because we can’t know which is the right side of history until we’re in the future), but they don’t seem to have any qualms about being on the wrong side of good and evil.
In this case, Andrea Mitchell is on the side of the bad guys– the Iranians–when she mocks Netanyahu’s statement that Obama’s deal with Iran is a “mistake of historic proportions.” Of course, she doesn’t live within firing range of Iran, so their nuclear program is merely an abstraction to her. She’s chosen Iran as the romantic bad-boy hero in her supermarket novel version of how foreign policy works and she’s feeling quite superior about her guy as she bats her pretty little eyelashes at the Iranian foreign minister.
