If you’re one of those millions of Americans who have lost your healthcare thanks to Obamacare and now face the possibility of fines if you don’t replace it, whether Healthcare.gov works or not is very important.

Democrat Charlie Rangel obviously isn’t one of those people. He also doesn’t really understand what Obamacare actually does. The New York Democrat showed up on MSNBC today and made it clear that he really doesn’t care how long it takes the multi-million dollar site takes to become functional.

Rangel told host Thomas Roberts, “Listen, I’m not the least bit concerned about the computers. I am so ecstatic that at long last our great country will be providing health care for everybody.”

Obamacare mandates that Americans buy health insurance or face fines. In what universe is that “providing” anything other than a threat to get a boot to the head? Sure, some will qualify for “subsidies” to buy insurance, but those have to be paid for with tax dollars — confiscated under threat of imprisonment from the IRS.

Rangel continued to display his arrogance: “It doesn’t make any difference whether it’s this week, next month or the month after. …But for the 40 million people that have been begging and praying for being able to enroll in insurance, this is heaven.”

Rangel has a warped view of heaven. He also has his numbers wrong. Even after Obamacare, the government estimates that about 30 million Americans will remain uninsured. It’s almost a certainty that tens of millions of Americans will lose their health insurance next year, once the employer mandate kicks in.

Complete, unapologetic arrogance on full display....shows the mental capacity of his constituents, and their overt racism, that this criminal still walks among the law-abiding people of this country. But, he is no different than at least half of the human debris and refuse infesting our nation's government. Unless a true Patriot emerges to lead the fight for America's soul soon, I fear this will not end peacefully...

Maybe I added the part in caps.

Rangel is a criminal. We should be concentrating and reporting on that, not on whatever drivel he has to say about affairs of the day that are only driven by politics. A couple of weeks ago, as I recall. he was criticizing Obamacare. So what?

Charlie is whistling past the graveyard.

If the Democrats lose the Senate, he is personally liable to the inquiries by House and Senate committees chaired by Republicans concerning some of his personal, probably criminal practices that have been enabled by Democrats in both houses.

Keep whistling Charlie.

No - 'our great country' won't be providing health care for 'everybody'. More like anyone that has any money whatever is going to be fleeced to provide health care just so 'everybody else' (meaning the poor) gets health care.

How does that old commie saying go? From each according to their ability...

And Rangel and company will determine your ability to pay. What could go wrong?

"More like anyone that has any money whatever is going to be fleeced to provide health care just so 'everybody else' (meaning the 'poor' as defined by the government) gets government-defined 'health care'." - fixed it for you.

Paleo - Based on the numbers, seems like there will be insurance for many fewer than now. Also seems like Rangel is an unrepentent Commie. His indifference to people losing insurance reminds me of the Commie aphorism that goes, to make an omelet you have to break a few eggs.

With all the "eggs" being broken, that'll be one heck of an omelet; but it will have to be in order to feed all the government (and government-connected) apparatchiki.
