Rangel: 'I'm Not the Least Bit Concerned' How Long It Takes Before Healthcare.gov Works

If you’re one of those millions of Americans who have lost your healthcare thanks to Obamacare and now face the possibility of fines if you don’t replace it, whether Healthcare.gov works or not is very important.

Democrat Charlie Rangel obviously isn’t one of those people. He also doesn’t really understand what Obamacare actually does. The New York Democrat showed up on MSNBC today and made it clear that he really doesn’t care how long it takes the multi-million dollar site takes to become functional.

Rangel told host Thomas Roberts, “Listen, I’m not the least bit concerned about the computers. I am so ecstatic that at long last our great country will be providing health care for everybody.”

Obamacare mandates that Americans buy health insurance or face fines. In what universe is that “providing” anything other than a threat to get a boot to the head? Sure, some will qualify for “subsidies” to buy insurance, but those have to be paid for with tax dollars — confiscated under threat of imprisonment from the IRS.

Rangel continued to display his arrogance: “It doesn’t make any difference whether it’s this week, next month or the month after. …But for the 40 million people that have been begging and praying for being able to enroll in insurance, this is heaven.”

Rangel has a warped view of heaven. He also has his numbers wrong. Even after Obamacare, the government estimates that about 30 million Americans will remain uninsured. It’s almost a certainty that tens of millions of Americans will lose their health insurance next year, once the employer mandate kicks in.
