Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said that the nuclear option not only detonated the filibuster, but most of the leverage he held to get answers from the Obama administration about Benghazi.

“After today, I fully expect President Obama to stack the D.C. Circuit Court with liberal, rubber-stamp judges. This court has primary jurisdiction over lawsuits that challenge Obamacare regulations. It is no accident the rules were changed to stack this court,” Graham said after the vote Thursday.

“President Obama is committed to protecting Obamacare, his signature achievement, regardless of the damage done to millions of Americans,” he continued. “He is even willing to throw the judiciary into chaos if necessary. Any American who wants to bring a legal challenge to the thousands of Obamacare rules and regulations lost big today.”

Graham then noted that “the hold I placed on many Obama nominees until Congress was able to speak with the Benghazi survivors has been greatly eroded.”

The senator said he was “very pleased” that his hold resulted in the first Senate interview of a State Department Benghazi survivor on Wednesday, 14 months after the attack.

“I, along with several Senate colleagues, spoke at length to this individual who provided new and compelling information about the attacks on our compounds in Benghazi,” Graham said.

“Unfortunately, Americans who want to get to the truth about what happened in Benghazi were hurt by today’s vote.  Without the ability to delay nominations, presidential administrations are likely to be even more successful in their stonewalling efforts,” he said.

“Finally, one of the great concerns about this rule change is without the requirement to work with the minority party to select judges, the judiciary will become dominated by ideologues. One of the biggest winners of this move is liberal groups who will be pushing radical, liberal judges to serve on the federal bench.”

This move by the loathsome Harry Reid and our equally loathsome president only telegraphs what we already know, the Democrat party is sliding down the slope into the muddy bog where they belong. They're delusional if they really think tossing this vile bone to the obnoxious rabble that make up their base is going to stop the slide.

OK, the ball is in your court now, Speaker Boehner....you are the ONLY PERSON IN D.C. that can approve a select committee with the authority and scope to subpoena witnesses and compel their testimony.... by granting immunity if necessary. Are you up to the challenge? Are you willing to jeopardize your personal career and face whatever dirt the regime has on you for the greater good of the Republic, may God save, and possibly regain some modicum of respect from the American people? Do you honestly think Dear Leader is NOT going to throw YOU under the bus anyway when it is politically expedient for him? As Barney Ross told Gunnar in 'The Expendables', "For once in your miserable phoucking life, do the right thing!"

Stack with "liberal" judges?

We should be that lucky.

In the most lawless administration in history...the law will be no more.

NO true democracy has ever been this brutally assaulted ...and survived as a democracy.

Of course, that's the point of it after all, isn't it.

Spied on, prosecuted for dissent, rights stripped, benefits stripped, forced to buy inferior state goods and services, aligning with enemies and abandoning allies.

Laws ignored, rules ignored, regulations ignored, checks and balances ignored.

In what way...precisely....are we being governed that is different from a dictatorship or banana republic?

I am wiling to give Graham the benefit of the doubt on the Benghazi investigation. No one else has ever made any headway against them either, not Darrell Issa or anyone else. Because the administration is an alliance between the Marxists and the most ruthless, corrupt political machine in the nation. It is that ruthlessness and corruption that makes it impossible to get anywhere in an investigation. I am sorry, folks, but they have been two steps ahead of their opposition all the way, and still are, because their ruthlessness and contempt for law has been underestimated from day one. They have to be fought with stronger means than have been employed against them so far. It may already be too late.

and now we hear that republican leaders, if and when they take control of the senate want to change the rules back, instead of using the power granted,

And more disturbing is that republican leaders are speaking as if Tea Party members or bullies, and completely ignore Harry Reid and his ilk, and they wonder why they have problems being elected.

If you aren't for anything, and strongly, you might as well be a door mat.

Well, Lindsey, if there was one testicle among the Republicans in Congress something would have already been done to bring to justice those in this administration who are guilty of causing the deaths of Christopher Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty, and Sean Smith. RIP ♥

"Are you up to the challenge?"

I think we know the answer to that! But I don't mind being pleasantly surprised.

Boehner doesn't realize it yet, but its his only way to save his career....maybe whatever they have on him could be forgiven, if he actually fought the current communists trying to make slaves of us all....but his pusillanimous behavior is looking like cowardice....or complicity.

Senator Graham can take credit for this as much as any democrat who voted for it. His sympathy has always been with the democrats, even though he stands up and crows like a little bantam rooster about his conservatism until it is time to cave to the democrats.

There's no doubt the Senate nuclear option imposed by Obama via Harry "The Toadie" Reid yesterday was a "win-win" to the nth power for Obama, his merry band of prog minions and his puppeteers.

Be that as it may, if the day ever arises when Harry the Toadie and his seedy political allies look out of their cozy District of Criminals office windows and see countless Americans marching toward them wielding rakes, pitchforks and torches, only then will he and his comrades come to grips with what a real "nuclear option" is and looks like.

Our neo-communist media tries to sell us the illusion of being a free democratic republic.

My bet is that RINO Graham is relieved to have an excuse to back away from Benghazi.

I'll bet he was totally aware that this was coming, and timed his new-found aggressive approach to Benghazi so he could say "I told you I was conservative but that old meany Reid stopped me just in time before I could prove it to y'all".
