Like they do.

The IRS official in charge of the exempt organizations office in the Cincinnati branch at the time conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status were unfairly targeted just got a promotion.

Cindy Thomas has been appointed to the senior technical adviser team for the Director of Exempt Organizations.
Thomas, a 35-year IRS veteran, will fill the spot vacated by Sharon Light. Light, a one-time close adviser to Lois Lerner, is the sixth senior IRS official to leave the agency.

Lerner is the employee at the center of the political storm that hit the nation earlier this year. She was the first IRS agent to publicly acknowledge wrongdoing.

Light has “accepted a position with the American Cancer Society, leaving a critical vacancy in the Senior Technical Adviser team for the Director of Exempt Organizations,” Kenneth Corbin wrote in a morning email to his employees.

“Cindy brings a strong background in EO Determinations and the history of the organization,” Corbin added. “And, since she is located in Cincinnati, she will provide a voice for the process and challenges faced in determinations work.”

Although we are long past the “couple of rogue employees” excuse, one of the endearing traits of this administration is that they will continue to do things to feed excuses that have been debunked (like “A video caused it.”).

It makes their pets in the press feel better.

this is s.o.p. for the 'let's destroy American and pretend we aren't doing it on purpose' transparency bunch. let me remember, just where else did odumbo instruct people to commit crimes, lie about everything about it, and then promote his loyal demon followers? oh yeah, that would be 'fast & furious'. pretty much admitted to evil wrong daring do by claiming executive privilege when rep. issa started closing in. protecting criminals from prosecution has never been a purpose of executive privilege. he also transferred those future criminals to higher posts in the cesspool called washington, d.c., closer to the heart of the evil empire.

'it makes his pets in the press feel better'. even today the always righteous feinstein proposed legislation to tightly define who is/isn't the 'legitimate press'. prog's are peeved everything they do is covered (by necessity) by the alternative media. it's always easier to cheat and steal when nobody is watching. if it weren't for the alternative media we would never have heard about fast & furious, benghazi, and no telling what else. f & f was being discussed on multiple boards for over a year before any media got the stones to bring it up. you have to watch these slimy congress-critters. most are lawyers and will say one thing while doing something totally different. you can usually spot the deception because they will give it an apple pie name, like 'the affordable health care act'.

what a bunch of maroons.
