Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) declared several times during and after Wednesday’s Benghazi hearing, that he and his fellow Democrats want to laud and protect whistleblowers. He specifically pledged support for the Benghazi whistleblowers.
Not every Democrat is on board, according to NBC reporter Lisa Myers.
“There is something called Benghazi going on,” said Myers. “And I think the Democrats now are starting to worry about it. I started–I got calls from a number of Democrats yesterday trying to undermine Greg Hicks’s testimony, saying he wasn’t demoted, etc. So I think they feel that some damage was done by those three witnesses on Wednesday.”

Rep. Cummings has an obligation to publicly condemn and put a stop to any effort to undermine any of the current or future Benghazi whistleblowers.
