Democrats don’t really want an immigration reform bill. They want an issue to use against Republicans.

SCHUMER: “We’ve come to a basic agreement, which is that first, people will be legalized. In other words, not citizens, but they’ll be allowed to work, come out of the shadows, travel. Then, we will make sure the border is secure. And we have specific metrics that are in the bill. I’m not going to get into what they are…”

Walk away, Sen. Rubio. Walk away.

Sounds like somebody is putting the cart before the horse. Border security first, then illegals pay all back taxes owed, then they pay a fine for breaking our laws and then they get in the back of the line.

Rewarding bad behavior leads to more bad behavior. The "Gang of Eight" is setting a terrible example by giving illegals a free pass. I've come to expect this kind candy arsed behavior from Graham and McCain but seeing it coming from Rubio is truly disheartening.

And we all know what "promises" to do things means in Washington.

"It's something for the next guy to worry about."

Isn't that the same bill we had in 1986? We've seen this movie and it doesn't end well.
