While President Obama pardons Thanksgiving turkeys Cobbler and Gobbler today, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) isn’t letting the commander in chief off the hook about Benghazi.
Graham sent Obama yet another letter asking for more details regarding what the president knew before, during, and after the terrorist attack on our diplomatic facility.
“While I am encouraged you may be finally ready to assist Congress in its investigations of the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, I remain concerned that over the past two months senators have written at least 13 letters requesting information from your Administration and they remain largely ignored. Few of these letters have been acknowledged; much less received a factual response to their queries,” Graham wrote.
The senator reminded Obama of another operation with ostensibly sensitive details that were readily made available.
“Mr. President, you deserve high marks for the bin Laden raid and I freely credit you for ordering this mission. Your Administration was active in providing details of that raid to the media and the public,” Graham wrote. “However, it is unfair to the American people and the families of the victims of the Benghazi attack to not provide the same level of detailed facts and an accounting for what I consider a major national security failure.”
“Mr. President, many serious questions remain about you and your Administration’s actions before, during, and after the attack on our consulate in Benghazi.”
Graham then outlines a lengthy list of question divided into before, during, and after the attack, such as, “Can you please account, as you did during the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan, for your actions during the seven plus hours our Consulate was under attack?”
He also detailed four high-profile public appearances in which Obama did not refer to Benghazi as a terrorist attack: the Letterman show on Sept. 18, Univision on Sept. 20, The View on Sept. 25, and his Sept. 25 address to the UN General Assembly.
“Mr. President, our intelligence community had arrived at the conclusion Benghazi was a pre-planned terrorist attack linked to al-Qaeda one day after September 11. How could you not be aware of this development?” Graham asked. “…Mr. President, answers to these and many other questions, many of which you should personally and immediately know the answer to, don’t require the type of ‘investigation’ you noted in recent remarks.”
Maybe if he addressed it to “Richard Windsor” somebody might read it.
I’m glad the senate enjoys franking privileges so that a first class stamp was not wasted on this bound-for-the-trashcan letter. HR1 for the new congress still needs to be “A Bill for the Impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama.” Then Grahan can send out some more letters.

When asked why he wants to continue to be a US Senator representing the people of South Carolina, his reply was….”so I can work with Democrats.” At least he is honest.
Just be sure your Tea Party candidate does not self-destruct. Too many have. BTW, do you have any data on how many Tea Party people stayed home on election day instead of coming out to vote against Obama, even if they disliked Romney?
Your liberties are once again hanging by a thread. As little as five votes, in fact. Next week, the lame-duck U.S. Senate will take up the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). And the statists will do virtually anything to keep the power to lock up American citizens at will and throw them in prison forever without so much as a trial – effectively GUTTING the Sixth Amendment in the process.
The good news is Senator Rand Paul is offering an amendment to prevent the indefinite detention of American citizens and reaffirm the Sixth Amendment. Last time he tried a similar effort, it only failed by five votes, and you and I had very little time to mobilize against this outrageous assault on our liberties. That’s why I’m hopeful with your IMMEDIATE action today, we can DEFEAT the indefinite detention provision of the NDAA. So won’t you please agree to call your senators IMMEDIATELY?

Let’s see: Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow. I don’t think calling them will do any good. Partisan start to finish. I don’t think there is a single abuse of civil liberties they have failed to endorse since Obama walked into the WH.
I actually tried calling them yesterday about the warrantless e-mail surveillance bill; got a brushoff and runaround from Levin’s office; the other’s office was closed (I guess now she’s been re-elected, she doesn’t have to even have someone there to answer the phones.) Happily, I understand that particular piece of unconstitutional fright has been “scuttled”.

I have never known why Obama was given so much credit for the raid. Obviously, the SEALS had years to prepare and just as obviously it was an operation started by George W. Bush. I don’t think the death was any big deal anyway.
Graham would do well to remember two things about the Obama administration: everything they say is a lie, and everything they run and hide from is the truth. When Obama says “I gave the order that killed bin Laden”, he is lying, because they had to drag his butt off the golf course to WATCH the raid, not to give orders, AND, there is a very good possibility that the whole bin Laden raid was a “wag the dog” operation. Almost every photograph we were shown of that raid was faked. In regards to Benghazi, Obama will not come clean about what he knew and when he knew it because he knows it would be the end of his presidency.
Yeah, well, wake me when Lindsey Graham has any influence whatsoever. Now that it’s clear that Benghazi won’t be the “Gate” they tried so desperately to manufacture, the GOP trots out its third stringers to try and keep the non-scandal on life support.
