I added the “stupid” part, because the ad in question is stupid. But Big Bird isn’t happy to have been drafted into the bumbling Obama campaign. The bird can’t fly, but he can protest.
Sesame Street wants President Obama’s campaign to take down its latest attack ad against Mitt Romney, which features Big Bird.
“Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns,” a Tuesday statement on Sesameworkshop.org reads. “We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down.”
Will the President of the United States now surrender to Big Bird? Is that where we are now? Is that where Barack Obama has taken America — to the point where we not only are losing the war on terrorism, POTUS 44 can’t even win a staring contest with a dude in a bird suit?

Everybody knows, the bird is the word.
Maybe they can alter the disclaimer: Barack Obama approved this ad but Big Bird did not.
OK I understand Big Bird said that but who is this “dude in a bird suit” that Brian is talking about?
Ever heard of furries? There are featheries. They do unspeakable things.
It’s all theater. The ad was never meant to have a long run. PBS knows who aigns their paychecks.
Yep, but they still know better than to put their non-profit status at risk in the face of a new administration. Then there are their 3rd party licensing agreements that can be put at risk through political endorsements. I suspect Big Bird doesn’t want to be served up at Chik fil A.
