In March 2008, as Am
erica got to know the young Democratic presidential candidate from Illinois and met the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright for the first time, Candidate Barack Obama wrote: “The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation.” The statements to which the future president referred were ones in which Rev. Wright, Obama’s pastor and mentor of 20 years, said racist and anti-American things. Clips of Wright that had hit conservative radio and blogs and, after some time, the mainstream media, had shown Wright blaming American foreign policy for the 9-11 attacks, and saying that “Racism was how this country was founded and how it’s still run.” Wright had described America as “the US of KKK” and one clip showed the future president’s mentor saying “God damn America.”
As the controversy surrounding Rev. Wright gathered force, Obama wrote: “He has never been my political adviser. He’s been my pastor.”
Obama had said that he came to be a Christian in Wright’s Trinity Church in Chicago, and would use the title of one of Wright’s sermons as the title of his second autobiography, The Audacity of Hope. The pastor and the politician were very close for about two decades. Obama’s daughters were both baptized in Wright’s church. Wright married Barack and Michelle Obama on October 3, 1992.
The Wright controversy built for another month in the spring of 2008. In April, after Wright let free another series of incendiary racial statements, Obama was forced to denounce not just Wright’s statements as he had done in March, but the man himself. Obama said: “What became clear to me is that he was presenting a world view that contradicts who I am and what I stand for. And what I think particularly angered me was his suggestion somehow that my previous denunciation of his remarks were somehow political posturing. Anybody who knows me and anybody who knows what I’m about knows that I am about trying to bridge gaps and I see the commonality in all people.”
As president, Obama would betray the last part of that statement in October 2010, when he exhorted Hispanic voters to “punish their enemies” by voting for Democrats.
As we now know thanks to a 2007 video unearthed by the Daily Caller, then Sen. Obama said quite a bit more about his relationship with Rev. Wright. In that speech, Obama called Wright “my pastor, the guy who puts up with me, counsels me, listens to my wife complain about me. He’s a friend and a great leader. Not just in Chicago, but all across the country.”
Obama delivered that address before an audience that knew both men. Those words do not describe someone whom Barack Obama barely knew.
Obama said more in that 2007 speech. He said that the federal government responded differently to the terrorist attacks in New York on Sept 11, 2001 and the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 because of the race of the victims.
“Down in New Orleans, where they still have not rebuilt twenty months later there’s a law, federal law — when you get reconstruction money from the federal government — called the Stafford Act. And basically it says, when you get federal money, you gotta give a ten percent match. The local government’s gotta come up with ten percent. Every ten dollars the federal government comes up with, local government’s gotta give a dollar.
“Now here’s the thing. When 9-11 happened in New York City, they waived the Stafford Act — said, ‘This is too serious a problem. We can’t expect New York City to rebuild on its own. Forget that dollar you gotta put in. Well, here’s ten dollars.’ And that was the right thing to do. When Hurricane Andrew struck in Florida, people said, ‘Look at this devastation. We don’t expect you to come up with y’own money, here. Here’s the money to rebuild. We’re not gonna wait for you to scratch it together — because you’re part of the American family.’
“What’s happening down in New Orleans? Where’s your dollar? Where’s your Stafford Act money? Makes no sense! Tells me that somehow, the people down in New Orleans they don’t care about as much!”
Barack Obama offered no evidence to back his claims that the federal government responded differently to disasters based on the race of the victims. In making the claim, Obama may have been channeling entertainer Kanye West, who during a national relief telethon on Sept 2, 2005 blamed the federal government’s response to Hurricane Katrina on his opinion that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
Obama delivered the 2007 speech at a time when Rev. Wright was already a known quantity nationally. Wright’s statements had already become controversial. But he was not yet controversial enough for Obama to denounce him.
The Rev. Wright whom Obama praised had blamed the AIDS epidemic and the crack addiction epidemic on the federal government. The Rev. Wright whom Obama praised had already sermonized that “white folks greed runs a world in need.” Wright had trashed America and said that we had the terrorist atrocities of 9-11-01 coming.
Obama would denounce that Rev. Wright when their relationship threatened Obama’s run for the presidency. But as the newly released tape reveals, Obama’s denunciation of Wright was done out of pure political expediency. Obama had heard and internalized Wright’s race-based, anti-American teachings over the course of about two decades, and during that 2007 speech, Obama regurgitated those teachings before a receptive audience. He explicitly said that America is a racist country that treats black people as if they are not members of the national family. This is not the sort of rhetoric Barack Obama says to his larger audiences, and he delivered the speech in a cadence that he normally edges off his public remarks.
Simply put, Barack Obama was and still is Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s most studious and successful disciple.

Part 2:

I always knew this was who Obama was. The press covered this up or all of America would have known and we would not have had to suffer these past 3/12 yrs of this hypocrite and hater. We can only hope many, many people see this now. The MSM has lost most of their viewers to Fox but mainly to the NEW MEDIA.
Spot on, Sue.
The more this shizzle gets air-time…the more folks will hopefully wake-up out of their somewhat willful ignorance.
I too knew who this jive talking, two step shuffling con artist was as soon as he burst – out of nowhere – onto the scene. In fact, I was in the midst of preparing to move to Israel, yet nothing about him was lost on me. I made sure to vote against this anti-American viper, via my absentee ballot. It was that important, and it still is!! The push in Israel, for ex pat Americans to vote against him, is MASSIVE. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Those who are shocked by his Black-speak shouldn’t be. It is his stock in trade. In fact, he told the world he is a blank slate! Pray tell, what does that mean, other than that he admits to being a man who will do anything, at any time, to gain an advantage. Lying, what’s that?
So, the penultimate question is – what are his end goals, despite his chicanery? To be sure, this is a man-child who is DEADLY serious about his design for ‘Obama’s America’.
Therefore, the following should serve as more than food for thought – http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/09/28/valerie-jarrett-barack-hussein-obamas-communisthidden-hand-familial-ideological-ties-that-bind-addendum-to-valerie-jarretts-communist-leanings-why-she-matters-commentary-by-adina/
Take the above to the bank. The fate of a nation, and ultimately the west, depends on the outcome.
Penultimate means second to ultimate (just letting you know b/c I misused it for a long time too.)
The thing I loved about it most was his suddenly found gettin’ “jiggy” with it black inflection and connotation. My goodness I have never seen glide so seamlessly back and forth from being white and black as the President does.
My gosh taking on a never before heard black manner of speaking in front of a predominantly black crowd? Who does this guy think he is?
Hilary Clinton?
Joe Biden?
Al Gore?
I thought it was only white people that thought it was cool to “try” and sound black when they were pandering to a black audience?
I have never seen an actual black person having to stoop to that level before!
I think one of the messages I am getting is that if one wants to see, in this day and time, a modern-day minstrel show, accents and all, you should go to where some major Democratic pol is addressing an all-black group.
I guess the audiences like it. To each his own.
Obama hates the suburbs because they’re too white. He wants more government money going into the ghetto to “invest” in businesses.
Yeppers, Wiggles-Dub! And, as we’ve all learned…throwing money at ghettos works. Just like throwing money at under-performing schools.
/sarc
I wonder what kind of “business” the choomer has in mind?
Listening to this guy talk about the suburbs and “our part of town” makes me want to puke. Anyone who thinks for a second that this guy has even a remote idea of what it means to be a “black American” is seriously deranged. Born in Hawaii and living in wealth all of his life educated at the very best schools. He lives in only the VERY best of Chicago neighborhoods and is even now building a luxurious mansion back in Hawaii for his retirement.
Yeah this guy is black. About like Al Jolson was in the Jazz Singer.
The sad thing is that the African Americans in this country think that this clown is actually interested in ANYTHING about them other than their vote.
If the residents of the inner cities would quit burning their neighborhoods down and/or looting them during natural disasters, maybe losses wouldn’t be so horrendous. To compare the 9/11 attack to what happened in New Orleans because of Katrina is a stretch of the imagination. 9/11 was a human initiated terrorist attack. Katrina was an “act of God”. The New Orleans mayor had three days warning to get people out of the city. A complete failure, just like the last 3 years 11 months. Debt is much higher, unemployment is worse, and much worse if you take into consideration the REAL unemployment statistics, the racial divide is much worse than before, etc., etc..
O must go.
“WHEZ YUH STAFFUHD MONEYH??”
In the vault with your college transcripts.
LOLz!
His “college transcripts” are all available in multiple Adobe layers too! The dullest tool in the Adobe toolbox knows you merge all layers and save as a high quality .jpg or .bmp file. Derp! haha
What a clown car full of douchebags this administration is.
I loved the “debate” over that! As if none of us have Photoshop! Good God! He needs to hire a new Minister of Propaganda if the one he has doesn’t know what “flatten image” means!
What college transcripts? …. He was never there — though always “present”!
Ditto the Stafford dough!
wrong, he was sitting in the empty chair in the back row !
I don’t think this tape will even cause a ripple. Maybe because myself and anyone else with half a brain has seen through this bum from the beginning. The MSM won’t play it or if they do they’ll play it down.
All too true. But still doesn’t change the fact that for all his supposed cool and sophistication he is actually incredibly parochial.
Almost provincial, in fact.
The tape alone will be dismissed . . .however, taken in context of history, I wouldn’t be too quick to dismiss it, since Obama voted ‘nay’ for Katrina help: http://tinyurl.com/8opgrt4
Whats interesting wgt is all the Yea’s were Republicans.
Whats interesting wtd is all the Yea’s were Republicans.
I have thought in the past it was not possible for me to hold Downgrade and his accomplices in greater contempt than I already did.
I was wrong. He truly does hate the white majority in this country. I have a feeling there are going to be some very shocking books emerge from members of this administration once Choom and his cronies are gone.
obama sat in the pew for 20 years but he didn’t inhale.
Except, as it turns out, under certain circumstances, he seems to remembers bits and pieces of the cadence, and the occasional pity-me hate-the-other-guy bombast.
But we should forgive him because he has done such a spectacular job running the country.
and since he is 1/16th black african, all must be foregiven anyway.
Maybe I am wrong, but it looks like the majority of Americans simply don’t care about this stuff. If they did, the support of Obama would be at about 30% at this point.
Walt, you’re way too generous. If Americans truly cared, Obama’s popularity would be at around 1%….With Obama’s past and the record of his presidency, even the guy from Weekend at Bernie’s should be able to beat him!
Perhaps, but then the majority of Americans have never seen the tape. The Press was at this event but, acting as gatekeepers, deemed it “wasn’t newsworthy.” It’s getting harder all the time for them to act as the gatekeepers, though. Between the Internet, Fox and talk radio, this tape will get a lot of play. A lot of people still won’t hear it but many more than the gatekeepers want will heat it.
Barack Obama’s war on Suburbia is alive and living now. If you live in Suburbia, unemployed, and lost your home, you know have a reasonable clue of why this President is not fixing the economy or has NO intentions of fixing the economic problems we face as a nation.
Yes, my friends, it’s called payback time for leaving inner city America. You have a Patriotic duty to stay within inner city limits, in failing schools, or high crime areas. I need more tax dollars so I can purchase more ObamaPhones.
No. 1 reason people leave the inner city: They want their kids to go to good schools. Improve the schools, change the outcome for everyone. Bush tried, Rahm tried, but the union organizers have those kids and their futures in lockdown.
You know what’s funny? The middle class people who leave the city (then commute back in for a job) are so used to “being kept” that they choose to live in developments with a HOA that tells them what to do with their property, etc., and then pay the HOA to do it! Once a sucker always a sucker, I guess.
The “scandal” of Obama saying truthful things about American’s shitty treatment of black people.
And this is their revenge :
http://www.wnd.com/2012/10/black-mob-hijacks-store-we-own-this/?cat_orig=us
I can certainly understand their beef and your fabulous observation. Which one of us doesn’t secretly wish we could be Somalians and forgo the trillions of the Great Society?
Wasn’t it Muhammad Ali who once observed after returning from a trip to Zaire, ” “Thank God my granddaddy caught the boat’!….”?
Tex, I think that particular trip was also memorable for another reason. He fought George Foreman there, a huge and powerful guy who had beaten Ali once, I think. Muhammad unveiled the rope-a-dope and beat George with it. He used it with less success against the late Joe Frazier.
AJB: Perhaps you have something to cop to re: treating black people poorly. If you have guilt, no matter your race, then own it. Not me — my conscience on that score is free, so I can vote as I please.
We might as well have Al Sharpton in the presidency. Of course Al just announces his stupidity and racism out loud. He doesn’t try to hide it like Obama does.
Turns out he can shuck and jive with the best of them. All he needed was some high healed sneakers and an alligator hat. Hope this pimp be limping after November 6th. Neo Marxist. Crypto Muslim. Black Supremacist. Fascist Race Baiter. Boy did over 50% of the country elect a real ASSHOLE.
The problem guys and gals is Obama could be caught molesting little boys on video or betting on the dogfights during the debate, and it won’t matter. Won’t matter if a nuke goes off in a major city. These Bozos for Obama will blame that on an uncompromising Republican Congress and the ‘Baggers’ too.
Look at their defense of the debt downgrade. Doesn’t have anything to do with the amount of the debt – it’s that Republicans won’t compromise and allow more debt. You can’t reason with that magnitude of abject stupidity.
This is the cult of Obama and all its celebrity. The is the end result of feminists roaring I am woman, but still needing a security blanket of nanny government and slithering to the polls to vote for The One.
And I promise you, a majority of the 2008 voters will still weep on every word of Obama.
I was aghast when I watched in 2008 these speeches in front of Greek Styrofoam columns, and my first thought was the Abomination of Desolation. Now, I’m almost numb to the idiocy.
Agreed. I’ve often wondered if there is anything he could do (or fail to do) – ANYTHING – that would turn his sycophants in the media against him.
Two comments:
1. This tape is no big deal. The big deal, the real “bombshell” is what’s happening right now in America and around the world. But the media won’t report it and far too many Americans don’t seem to care.
2. I saw this comment (Monkey Wrench was the handle) over at Gateway Pundit about the timing of the release of this tape and thought it was astute. Wanted to share it here:
“I’m curious what people think about the timing of the release of this video. It’s being released the day before the debate. Is that a good idea?
I think I would have held on to it until after the debate. Then, if Romney has a bad debate performance, release the video right away to minimize the damage. If Romney scores a clear debate win, then let all the good press play out for a few days. Then release the video to get a one two punch which could change the arc of the election.
Now, this story runs tomorrow morning and afternoon. By dinner (evening news) time, the subject changes to the big debate. Will this story be back in the news Thursday morning, or will all the talk be about the debate?
Just wonder what others think about the timing.”
Good observation. The media throws kitty litter on every story they feel might detract from getting their guy across the finish line first. They feel it’s their catbox so, why not? When something like this tape emerges they will try to present it like Roca, Kitty Roca. Served as an appetizer to the debate we shall see if it’s effective. Somehow I don’t feel it’ll subdue interest in President Thin Skin’s performance, should Mitt land a few punches tomorrow night.
I agree #13 nothing really substantial on the video. No overt racial statements. The phoney accent is about the worst thing I can say.
The timing however is excellent. The Republicans need to get the country to watch the debates. Romney is almost certain to win. The DNC has already conceded that Obama will lose because he’s been “too busy” with affairs of state!
The country needs to see the real candidates – unscripted and off the teleprompter.
Your point of poor timing underscores an important truth: Unlike the Democrats, Republicans don’t have the same power to coordinate news releases in the blogosphere. The day the Republicans do pull such strings behind the scenes is the day I start to pull away from the party. Democrats are astroturfers — one of the many reasons I despise them.
The timing for something like this is tricky. Early voting has already stated in some states. By some estimates, 40% of voters will likely vote before electiond day. That makes it harder to sit on a story until the weekend before the election like they did with the Bush DUI story in 2000.
Releasing it the night before the first debate might also increase viewership and/or provide some ammo for Romney when Obama makes his “you have to be president of all the people” speal.
As a few others have said, this video won’t cause a ripple, move the needle, or even garner a minute of discussion.
Conservative voters have known who Obama is — at least from a functional, nuts-and-bolts politics angle — since 2008 (though isn’t it odd that, five weeks from his reelection, so much of conservative media is still busy trying to figure out who Obama is, what motivates him, what he’s really trying to accomplish and what he means by “fundamental transforming America”). Democrats have been in love with him since he delivered the keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention.
Independents and anybody who’s so disengaged that they’re still undecided about whether or not they’ll vote for Obama probably won’t even learn of this video’s existence. And even if they do, there’s nothing in the video that will cause anybody to change his or her mind.
The problem for conservatives who bought Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity’s hype is that Obama doesn’t say anything incendiary in this supposedly incendiary video. A charge of racism against the Bush administration (and perhaps, in a broader sense, the American people) is implicit in his comments, but he never explicitly comes out and says the word “race” or “racism.” His audience knows what he means, and he knows that they know what he means. But he never quite comes out and says it.
Thus, any conservative who argues that Obama was talking about race in his speech will themselves be accused of trying to inject race into the campaign, since Obama never quite comes out and explicitly mentions race (even though he’s obviously talking about race).
What’s more, the most damaging part of the speech is when Obama says that we need to quit building roads in the suburbs and start putting resources into struggling inner cities instead. But even that much is hazy and doesn’t exactly jump out of the screen and grab you when you first see it.
Conservatives should obviously ask why Obama thinks we have to stop building roads in the suburbs so that we can revitalize the down-trodden inner cities (i.e., why does Obama see it as a zero-sum game?). Oh, and by the way, aren’t those suburban roads that Obama wanted to stop building as recently as the 2007 Hampton speech the same roads that Obama, Elizabeth Warren and the Mainstream Media have been crowing about in recent weeks as they kept arguing that infrastructure — roads and bridges — is the true economic engine that permits businesses to thrive (e.g., “you didn’t build that”)?
Unfortunately, however, the fact that this Obama Hampton speech needs additional context and explanation in order for it to be useful in making a case against Obama (why does Obama pit the suburbs in a zero-sum game against the inner-cities, and why does he want to stop growth in the suburbs in order to revitalize the inner cities?) means that it has no political legs.
Romney’s context-free “I like to fire people” and “47%” videos are damaging because the message jumps out at you without need for any explanation. With the proper context, Romney’s “gaffe” videos aren’t particularly damaging. But by contrast, Obama’s video is only damaging when additional context and discussion accompany it.
And if conservatives try to add that context to the Obama video, Democratic pundits and the Mainstream Media can and will turn it around and throw questions at conservatives like, “why do you right wingers oppose revitalizing the struggling inner cities?” “What do you have against poor African American people?”
As for Obama’s … uh … colloquial speech patterns and mannerisms in the video, Democrats understand that pandering to specific demographic elements of their coalition (or, “micro-targeting,” as they call it) is just part of the game. Everybody’s on board, and nobody sees anything wrong with it. So when Hillary says to a black church, “I don’t feel no ways tiiired,” or when Joe Biden tells a predominantly black Tidewater audience that the RethugliKKKlans “goin’ put y’all back in chains,” it’s all good, it’s all part of the game and nobody in the Democratic camp bats an eye.
Besides, they’re too busy trying to decipher the conservatives’ latest double secret probationary dog whistle racist code.
You seem to have that parasitic illness that is contagious among Obama sycophants.
An enema of drain cleaner can fix that.
Yuppies living in the suburbs need to realize that Obama has every intention of sticking it to them good and hard. Many of them were conned by Bill Clinton’s “New Democrat” nonsense. The Democrats were now supposedly sensible regarding economic matters.
Pretending to be intelligent Hannity is such a tool, he immediately puts a pretending to be rational Juan Williams on the air immediately to get the talking points in that this is no big deal, it’s just politics, all politicians do it, etc, etc. Nothing to see here folks, just keep moving. Fox is neither fair nor balanced. Usually hit the remote when this happens, but dog was sleeping on my lap so nice, so did not want to wake her to reach for it.
The real “bombshell” is 8%+ unemployment for four straight years.
The real “bombshell” is 16 trillion in debt, 6 trillion of that in the last four years.
The real “bombshell” is the continuing Hillary Clinton/Susan Rice coverup in Benghazi over the assassination of an American ambassador that implicates the President.
The real “bombshell” is Eric Holder’s Fast and Furious coverup that implicates the President.
The real “bombshell” is millions of fraudulent voter registrations and illegal votes that will steal the election despite all of the above.
The real “bombshell” is why there isn’t armed revolution in the streets. That will come soon enough after Obamee steals the election again.
You are right about the issues above. The remarkable thing about the speech was to note that after four years in office he has caused those very issues to become much worse. We need a debate between that Obama and the one who has actually been President these past four years. That Obama, if he were to be completely honest, would find it unconscionable to vote for the current President.
– Paul Laurence Dunbar.
He’s delivers this with the clarity and certainty of a Rush Limbaugh monologue. No “uhs” or “ahs,” no long professorial pauses as he thinks of what to say next. This is what he believes, obviously.
@Silver Sharmrock (#14):
Stopped reading your post after this paragraph:
“The problem for conservatives who bought Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity’s hype is that Obama doesn’t say anything incendiary in this supposedly incendiary video. A charge of racism against the Bush administration (and perhaps, in a broader sense, the American people) is implicit in his comments, but he never explicitly comes out and says the word “race” or “racism.” His audience knows what he means, and he knows that they know what he means. But he never quite comes out and says it.”
It may be “implicit” in your mind, but its totally clear cut BLACK AND WHITE…
Obama made racist statements to a public crowd. Yes many of us knew this, but it is another important piece of news for a few reasons:
1) Shows Obama’s dishonesty and chameleon-like character in a clearer light
2) Shows for the umpteenth time the conspiratory nature of the MSM
3) May be important for younger voters who were too busy watching March Madness when this went down.
Keep your horsesh!t to yourself. This was blatant racist pandering.
Who needs the video? Their feelings toward the white race from their earliest days of college have been well known.
Check into Michelle’s work and thesis. There’s a lot more ammunition to use to expose these racists for what they really are.
For all you suckerfish attached to Obama’s ass, you can go here to register under a different name to vote several more times:
https://register.barackobama.com/
Telling lies to stoke up racial resentment reveals Obama’s true character. Every white person who votes for this racist demagogue is a fool.
O’bama simply misunderstood Talk Like a Pirate Day to be Talk Like a Ni66er Day.
This is the video they allowed to be seen but with an altered transcript. Now we can imagine what the Khalidi video must be like. It is time for that to be seen.
How can ordinary people lean on the LA Times in a way which is actually substantial?
I would like to comment on what I believe is the appropriate takeaway from what is “revealed” by the uncovering of the “lost” part of this story for over five years.
Obama is speaking in “hood patois”, clearly an adopted caricature of a speech pattern…since he grew up and went to school in neighborhoods in Hawaii and Jakarta that were not known to have anything remotely close to this cadence, accent or rhythm to their speech patterns.
It’s not likely he got them at Occidental, or in the Ivy League…the Harvard Law Review being an unlikely “source” of “black preacher on the pulpit” dialect.
So, this is as phony as Joe Biden’s “put y’all back in chains”. It’s pandering. But, is that much more than a “so what?” ? Not really.
The accent is cringeworthy, the message is noteworthy.
And, the response to race baiting to African-Americans using lies against White Americans should be offensive to all Americans. Because the intent is to infuse racial warfare, class warfare, ethnic warfare, gender warfare to rule Americans.
If the response is limited to a “white backlash”, then the divisiveness did it’s job. It divided Americans by race. There is a near criminal slander taking place here by a sitting Senator running for the highest office of the land.
And, the Media Empire are accessories after the fact in this crime.
The Media Empire intentionally and with conscious disregard for the truth, promoted a lie that had as a sole purpose…to divide this country on racial grounds based upon a known falsehood in order to promote a radical extreme agenda.
Being offended as a “white American” misses the seminal point. America is the intended victim. Small c communists saying “let’s you and him fight” doesn’t give a Tinker’s Dam whether it’s Hispanics fighting white Americans, women fighting White males, gays fighting white heterosexuals. It’s promoting “faux victims” against “faux oppressors”.
And the Overthrow Empire will tell any lie, distort any fact, forge any document, photoshop any picture, spread any slander…and its Media Empire will conspire to assist…in order to take down America.
If you respond to race-baiting by swallowing the hook…you will wind up being gutted and fileted. America is the big fish. Don’t get suckered.
What just gets me is that Obama has the stones to say that the Federal Government “ignored” the people in New Orleans when, in reality, George W. Bush pumped in billions and billions of dollars in relief to the ENTIRE gulf area that was hit hard by the storm. It’s just flat-out wrong to say that anybody “ignored” any of these people, especially because of skin color. For that alone Obama should be held accountable because not only is it a lie, but it also stokes the flames of racial hatred in this nation, something we really don’t need right now. Shame on him and, hopefully, ALL Americans will turn their backs on a liar like this. It’s one thing to want a job, it’s quite another to sell out your country for it.
It’s one thing to want a job, it’s quite another to sell out your country for it.
Great comment right down to the last sentence. He didn’t do it for their votes. He has 98% of them because of his skin color. He told those lies because he hates whitey. He’s destroyed the reason why he was elected.
Mr. Preston,
Does anyone on this website write their own articles? Or do you all just cut and paste each other’s work.
You, Mr. Simon, and Mr. Adams have a very convenient view on the President’s 2007 speech today. I say convenient, because like I’ve told Mr. Simon and Mr. Adams, I wonder if it is the same view you had in 2007. I got a good laugh from Tucker Carlson last night when he made very similar comments that you three are making in this article. I was laughing not at the comments per se but from the revelation that he (Carlson) did a story on his show in 2007 about the President’s comments but for some reason did not make any of the comments he made yesterday.
If I were to read any of yours, Mr. Simon’s or Mr. Adams’s articles from 2007, would I find any of the same dishonestly and inconsistency that others on the far-right have espoused in 2012?
I was laughing not at the comments per se but from the revelation that he (Carlson) did a story on his show in 2007 about the President’s comments but for some reason did not make any of the comments he made yesterday.
I don’t know whether you don’t read very well or whether you are deliberately dishonest. What was released to the media in 2007 was a sanitized 10 minute version. Carlson obtained the entire 36 minute speech only recently.
re: terry gain
As I’ve asked earlier, do you know for a fact that Carlson did not see the whole video? The full version doesn’t change the context of what the President said anyway. However, let’s say for the sake of argument that Carlson was only commenting on the small snip bit that he showed his audience; don’t you think that was irresponsible of him? Would it not have been prudent to view the whole tape? Is it not more likely that that Carlson is just changing his opinion to toe the far-right line?
These are very fair questions, unless you think Carlson is incompetent or you and others are just trying to make excuses for these inconsistent opinions.
