A senior security official says the attack that killed four Americans in Libya, including the U.S. ambassador, was an organized two-part operation by heavily armed militants that included a precisely timed raid on a supposedly secret safe house just as Libyan and U.S. security forces were arriving to rescue evacuated consulate staff.
Wanis al-Sharef, eastern Libya’s deputy interior minister, said on Thursday the attacks were suspected to have been timed to mark the 9/11 anniversary and that the militants used civilians protesting an anti-Islam film as cover for their action.
This confirmation puts the murder, and reported rape, of Ambassador Christopher Stevens into the category of assassination.
The Obama administration’s handling of this has played directly into the terrorists’ hands, humiliating the U.S. on the anniversary of the deadliest terror attack ever perpetrated on our soil. Instead of focusing on the timing and purpose of the attacks, the administration keeps mentioning the film.
It’s clear that the film is a pretext, and may even be another taqiyya scam similar to the Danish cartoon campaign.
The usual suspects are waging war on the United States, and our president either doesn’t realize it or is being dishonest about what is really going on.

To say that “he doesn’t realize it” we should prove that he is an idiot.
That’s easy in a sense but not in another (career, ability to exploit the system, etc.).
So we must obey Occam’s razor and go for the simple cause. Dishonest.

Seems more than likely that if he had any class (never mind intelligence or honesty) and he and Biden and Kerry had not repeatedly used bin Laden’s slaying for political points, this might not have happened.
My God in Heaven! The muslim problem would be so easy to solve. We just find the monster with the most smarts and most balls in any given region, arm him to the teeth, and tell him if even one terrorist attack is launched against the western world whatever city he is in will be nuked. If we miss him we just keep glassing over major population centers until we get him. Crazy? We’d do it to nazis if they came back. We did it to the Japanese. But we choose suicide instead these days.

My biggest fear here is that we’re seeing a repeat of 1979 all over again, just before we saw the American embassy taken in Iran and its American diplomats held in captivity for 444 days. Fortunately, there are less than 60 days to the election, when we’ll have our best chance at changing directions in that part of the world. Always remember, not one embassy was touched while Bush and Cheney were in charge. Says something when you have people in office that are feared by the rest of the world. And what Obama never learned on the job was the fact that, when it comes to foreign policy, it’s much better to be feared than it is to be loved, especially in a place like the Middle East. Obama thought the world would just ADORE him as long as he kept apologizing. Must stink seeing the end result of a failed policy like that.
I share the same fear, but even though we have the weakest ‘president’ in our nation’s history, our military is nothing like what we had in ’79. Thank God for that…if called upon, we could do something about relieving an occupied embassy today that we could not have accomplished in ’79. And thank God for that, too..
So, what else would a “Libyan Official” say? “Hey, don’t forget we were fighting you Americans in Afghanistan before coming back here to fight Qaddafi.” Or maybe, “Gee, do you think we can actually run this country you infidels helped us take over?” Or maybe, “Yes we cooperated with our muslim brothers to butcher the filthy Americans, ala be praised etc.”
