This story by Ben Smith is a disgrace. Smith reports that Republican “foreign policy hands” are dismayed at the Romney response to Tuesday’s 9-11 attacks in the Middle East.
He only names one of them. The rest hide behind vague titles. Smith describes them as “a very senior Republican foreign policy hand,” “a former aide to Senator John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign,” “a former Bush State Department official,” and he allows them to snipe at Romney from the weeds:
The Republicans declined to speak for attribution, for fear of being publicly disloyal to their party’s nominee.
They’re cowards. They surely know that their words and the anonymity attached to them lend them weight that might not attach if their real names were used. The McCain campaign aide could be any of the authors of that disaster. The former Bush State Department official could be among those who waged an informational war against 43. The “very senior hand” should know full well that they are being used to spin the attacks around into a different story, one that distracts from Obama’s disastrous, Jimmy Carter-esque day on Tuesday.

The Whine has been missing Presidential Daily Briefings. Usually at this time of year security gets enhanced. But apparently campaigning and fundraising are more important to this jackwagon.
– not needed when the admin has blojobjournalism in its pocket.
They’re not cowards, they’re part of that critical Democrat voting block of nonexistent persons.
BTW, where are all the Democrat “policy hands” who are shocked at how poorly Obama has handled the crisis?
Republican “foreign policy hands”.
One of those anonymous them was me.
Bad as the article is, the comments are worse. And these pathetically stupid people will vote.
Another “foreign policy hands” was one of those lifetime Republicans who was disillusioned with Eastwood’s skit and started talking.
The third one was tired of Bush’s cowboyish reactions to 911, 2001 and was very appreciative of Obama’s thoughtful deliberations. Yep, it’s Bush fault that the Islamists attacked our embassies killing our ambassador and the unfortunate consulate workers.
The fourth one was proud of Obama’s decisiveness leading from behind the EU to kill the cross dressing Gadefy.
The fifth one believed it’s democracy that the Muslim Brotherhood took over from Murbarak (can’t even spell those silly names), and was impressed that Obama released to the Egyptian Islamist govt. a billion of the money we borrowed from the Chinese. We apologize for our free speech, no hard feelings, ok?
Why do GOP candidates always seem to hire democrats? McCain’s 2008 campaign had to have been run by democrats. Would a real Republican have been that inept?
For finally blocking the troll. Now if you could the rest of PJM contributors to do the same with him; yes, singular, there is just one.
With all due respect Jimbo, your comment adds nothing to the discourse here.
If anyone is wondering whom I am addressing, it is a troll whom the editors had the good sense to pull. I believe #2 was addressing the same troll.
