Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) posted a photo of himself getting a jump on the lunch crowd and eating Chick-Fil-A for breakfast in his office this morning.
“Had @ChickfilA for breakfast today but my usual order is the #1 combo with slaw and a Coke Zero. Can’t beat it. http://on.fb.me/fTh27G,” Graham tweeted.
Former GOP presidential candidates Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum encouraged people to show their support for the restaurant chain today after president and COO Dan Cathy made statements against same-sex marriage.
Proponents of same-sex marriage have asked supporters to donate today the amount they might spend on a Chick-fil-A meal to gay rights groups, or protest at the restaurants on Friday.

There’s one month left of summer. Chick-fil-A donates coupons for free kids meals to Vacation Bible School volunteers. You could do a double-down- volunteer (there are evening VBS for kids with working parents) ( my kids attended one where they built a Egypt- 15 foot cardboard pyramids, live camels and all).
Feed yourself, feed your kid, get some VBS. it’s a win all around.
I threw out the coupons- we just paid. I want them to have money to fund their marriage retreats and kids summer camps.
You knwo what I find interesting; the African American pastors are having conference on the very issue that LGBT are fighting Chick-fil-a for. I just got to ask, are the LGBT going to cal African Americans biggots? I mean that just will not fly with me personally. But I thought I’d ask anyway………..
B’fast here, too. Chik-fil-A for Freedom!
He voted to confirm Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. Hopefully, the Republicans of South Carolina won’t be fooled by this bit of pandering at Chic-Fil-A.
I don’t have a Chick Fil A here in Michigan, but my mom in Florida does. She went for lunch and said it was a very busy!
My lady friend of years, Ms Snarky Doucher(pronouned dooSHAY), tells me that she was on Rt. 98 near Panama City Beach and the Chick-fil-a there was absolutely mobbed, so mobbed the local radio news has been reporting the story. So much for the hysterical ravings of the Demunist dirt bags.
One of the few times Sen. Lindsey Graham made me laugh. But, according to Obama, the owner of Chick-Fil-A didn’t build his business on his own. Government did. Does that mean that the Obama administration is not only guilty of helping to build Chick-Fil-A, but government also helps to keep it in business too? I’m sure that would sounds great in a Romney commercial. Obama supports Chick-Fil-A! I wonder how that would sound to gay groups?
Great catch, Lib.
Unfortunately, I live in the indigo-blue Willamette Valley in Oregon. The nearest Chick-fil-a is over 360 miles away in Boise, Idaho.
Not to worry–I’m eating at that Chick-Fil-A for you. (It’s on the Boise State campus in the Student Union Building–I expect that there will be professors there on the edge of apoplexy.)
learn something for a change . . .
I just blogged about what happened when I went to Chick-Fil-A at Boise State. http://claytonecramer.blogspot.com/2012/08/chick-fil-appreciation-day-is-today.html
Awesome!
Keep eating ‘em Senator Graham, breakfast of champions! I wonder if Chick-fil-a provides the workers in their stores with decent affordable health insurance?
This is what is called political opportunism. Nice try, RINO-squish.
RINO Lindsey is shameless; anything for a plug. Too bad your record does not match your propaganda….see Patrick of Atlantis above.
I’m surprised to see that a prominent gay individual such as Senator Graham would stoop to such a level. These kind of photo op stunts are beneath the dignity of his office.

Well, then — looks to me as if everybody wins. I’m on the side of Dan Cathy here, but if the other guys get what they want too — at least the donations (I’m not wild about having them show up to protest) — perhaps they’ll be happy and shut up.
(Yeah, I know, I’m dreaming if I think that crowd will ever shut up…)
I was going to cruise by Chick-fil-A and grab a bite for lunch before work on Monday (My evening to work) just to poke a stick in Rahm Emanuel’s eye and the drive thru lane went around the block so I guess a lot of people had the same idea I did. Way to go freedom lover’s!
Sorry Lindsey Grahamnesty, I and many other South Carolinians are still working to oust you in the GOP primary again.
Lindsey talked a good game there far awhile, but his votes tell me he’s a RINO.
And, yeah, this is pretty shameless pandering; I expect he’d eat a plate of week old roadkill if he thought it’d get him reelected.
Isn’t this like a cow eating a hamburger?
How do I get the Gay activists to protest my business? What a Bonanza.
Wet finger in the air Lindsey. Enjoying his last term.
Who ever runs against this RINO will get my donation from Texas!
Hundreds Turn Out For “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day”
http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Hundreds-Turn-Out-For-Chick-fil-A-Appreciation-Day-164585036.html
These days, Republican U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina isn’t deriding town hall hecklers as a bunch of “angry white guys” or branding as losers the conservative activists who criticize him at the S.C. GOP’s convention.
Starting his 18th year in Congress, Graham also is not writing New York Times columns with U.S. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., on the dangers of climate change, pitching immigration reform or predicting the demise of the Tea Party.
Instead, Graham is struggling to respond to the political force of Republican insurgents who helped elect backbench legislator Nikki Haley South Carolina’s governor in 2010 and, last month, gave Newt Gingrich’s anti-Washington presidential campaign its only win so far, in the state’s Republican Primary.
Is the recalibrated Graham just being a shrewd pol, adapting to the times? Or is he running scared, afraid of a serious primary challenge in 2014?
“I want to be a guy that Democrats can find common ground with on the issues of the day,” Graham said.

Primary Challenger in 2008 got 33% of the vote in 2008.
You’re going down Lindsey, we dont need to send RINOs from staunchly conservative states to the Senate, eager to work with Democrats.
Isn’t Lindsey a homo? Never married, career military. Can you spell fellatio?
As an atheist that believes government has no business in defining marriage (aside from common law/civil union) I love CFA’s curly fries!
I’m not from South Carolina, but who eats fried chicken for breakfast?
