President Obama’s Ramadan statement:
“On behalf of the American people, Michelle and I extend our warmest wishes to Muslim Americans and Muslims around the world at the start of Ramadan. For Muslims, Ramadan is a time of fasting, prayer, and reflection; a time of joy and celebration. It’s a time to cherish family, friends, and neighbors, and to help those in need.
This year, Ramadan holds special meaning for those citizens in the Middle East and North Africa who are courageously achieving democracy and self-determination and for those who are still struggling to achieve their universal rights. The United States continues to stand with those who seek the chance to decide their own destiny, to live free from fear and violence, and to practice their faith freely. Here in the United States, Ramadan reminds us that Islam is part of the fabric of our Nation, and that—from public service to business, from healthcare and science to the arts—Muslim Americans help strengthen our country and enrich our lives.
Even as Ramadan holds profound meaning for the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims, it is also a reminder to people of all faiths of our common humanity and the commitment to justice, equality, and compassion shared by all great faiths. In that spirit, I wish Muslims across America and around the world a blessed month, and I look forward to again hosting an iftar dinner here at the White House. Ramadan Kareem.”

Yes, yes, Mr. President, it’s part of the fabric… and Islamofascism is the run in that silk.
I find my life is incredibly enriched when a clerk at a store refuses to scan pork products….Lord knows the strength the nation must draw from it….
“The United States continues to stand with those who seek the chance to decide their own destiny, to live free from fear and violence, and to practice their faith freely.”
Except that portion of the faith that allows followers to subjugate women and kill gays, adulterers, and heretics.
Islam is not a part of the fabric of the United States that I know. It might be important to a Muslim like Obama, but is nothing more than an evil ideology for most Americans.
Now if we could just get them to stop blowing sh!t up all over the world………but, who cares? We’ll just rubber stamp security clearances for them, give them corner offices at DHS – STATE – FBI and allow them to dictate national security policy. We have fallen so far down the rabbit hole….
Sorry for the run-on sentence in advance. With family being here from the 1600s, as patriots in the Revolution, with family having died wearing both blue and gray in the little intra-family fracas, relatives having been in WWI, buried in France in WWII, my own dad serving in Vietnam and I in Desert Shield/Desert Storm, then Iraq and Afghanistan (3 times), as well as being married to a Muslim who would dearly love to leave that cult if only her family would track her down; I say – no, not so much. Ramadan has never been part of the nation fabric of America.
Semper Fidelis,
Webfoot Warrior
Thank you and your family for your service. Did have forebearers who were doctors in the Revolution and Civil War. Last one in my family to see action in a shooting war was my great uncle in WWI. Didn’t see the Armistice. Never any mention of Muslims. Best of luck to your wife.
Didn’t Obama just say: ” The United States continues to stand with those who seek the chance to decide their own destiny, to live free from fear and violence, and to practice their faith freely.”
What Obama neglected to say is that it doesn’t apply to to Muslims who wish to leave that “religion” or to non-Muslims living in Muslim majority countries.
“Ramadan reminds us that Islam is part of the fabric of our Nation”
LMAO. The guy thinks he’s president of his home country or something.
I also had family members who fought in the Revolution. Someone from my family has fought in almost every war we have conducted on foreign soil, including both World Wars. I’m not sure, but I don’t think Islam is part of the fabric of the nation my ancestors fought for.I don’t have any pictures of them in suicide vests, and my family tree doesn’t have any goats or camels in it,so that would pretty much rule out Islam.
I believe in absolute religious freedom here in the U.S. I also believe that any religion which encourages the killing of unbelievers cannot be defined as a religion at all.
Islam is not a religion of peace,it is a cult of murder and hatred.
By the way,I can’t wait for my delicious Ramadan iftar dinner. What is in iftar, human blood and goat turds? Happy Ramadan,Mr.Resident,I sincerely hope it’s the last one you celebrate on the taxpayer’s dime.
Now someone tell me this guy is not a Muslim……Good Lord it could not be any more plain. Those people who are the fabric of this society attempted to kill my daughter twice in Afghanistan. Take a drive to Dearborn Michigan and glimpse the future.
“Here in the
United StatesNation of Islam, Ramadan reminds us that Islam is part of the fabric of our Nation”Fixed it for ya Mr. Prez – you putz!
“commitment to justice, equality, and compassion” unless you happen to be a non-muslim in a muslim dominated country or area (like in England, Sweden, etc.). Then that religion of peace crap kind of disappears.
And if you are female, you are wise to be fearful all the days of your life. One day you are “loved” and the next you must be killed to preserve honor.
Like an indelible stain, when they were throwing rocks at Christians in Dearborn, MI, the other day.
BHO is a POS
One of the saddest days in American history is when President George W. Bush uttered ‘Islam is a religion of peace.’
That was total Bravo Sierra and set up an unfortunate undermining of the war against islamism in one silly little sentence.
That was the first of many PC lies that brings us to where we now rest.
And that the county supervisors of a neighboring county recently approved permits for the building of 3 mega mosques, population to follow, I’m absolutely sickened.
Now, because of Grover Norquist and others who created the pinhole into the White House and the power sector of government and other PC idiots we find ourselves apologizing to a murderous minority who flaunt their extremism in our faces.
That pinhole opened up into the insertion of a man who is president with a dubious background, the details of which we’ll learn sometime in the future. To our dismay, I’m sure.
about obama, but many are stupid and blind
and too many adore him for the sleaze he is
A friend of mine is promoting Religious Liberty. She doesn’t understand that the penalty for apostasy is death. Catholics run a “Catholics Come Home” campaign. Muslims will slit your wrist.
0bama will give greater reverence to Islam and Ramadan than he will to Christians and Christmas. I’ll bet he remembers fasting during Ramadan from his Indonesian days.
Muslims will slit your neck. Clean through.
During Ramadan, Muslims are required to fast during the day. They can’t eat, drink, smoke or chew gum until evening at a designated time. The hypocrisy is that when the clock strikes the appropriate time, there is a mad rush to the bakeries and restaurants where they gorge. Then they sleep it off the next day. In fact many actually gain weight over the Ramadan period.
By the way, non-Muslims are required to observe the rules whenever they are in public, or in other words, not in hiding while they eat lunch or have a smoke. Violators are arrested and put in jail. If you work in a Muslim country and are caught chewing gum on the street during Ramadan, you could be arrested and have your work permit suspended. In other words, after you get out of jail and pay your fine, you lose your job.
Such is the compassionate tolerance of Islam.
The
Obama made no official statement on Easter.
Telling omission, isn’t it?
Not part of the fabric for sure. “Run in the silk” was a pretty good analogy, but “indelible stain” is probably the most accurate.
Islam is a part of the fabric of BLT Marxism. Both should be shown the door, and don’t let it hit you in the arse on the way out.
No, in fact they are not part of the fabric of our nation. We did the fighting and dying and innovation and after we redesigned the place and made it fit to live, Muslims have come in, exploited the Constitution and Bill of Rights they themselves are utterly unfit to create or uphold, and called us Islamophobes when we object.
Some one give this President a wake up pill. I think being an American is just a little more than putting a passport on a pig.
A confluence of thoughts: Mecca pig farm.
“Islam is part of the fabric of our nation”
Of course it is. It’s right there in the Marine Corpse, I mean Corps, hymn:
“From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli …”
We have a thread winner here!
Yep…the Barbary Pirates were just “achieving self determination” and helping us “enrich our lives”. Glad we cleared that up.
Winner!
Islam is part of America as a cancer tumor is part of a diseased body. 57 countries prove that the disease is in its final stage of causing an unstoppable free-fall resulting in the death of the patient (in this case – all mankind). It must be pulled out by the roots.
This is how http://thereligionofpeace.com/ welcomes Ramadan:
“Stocked up on your Ramadan supplies? Islam’s holiest month
is here again. As usual, TROP will be keeping a running tally
of dead bodies piled up by the Religion of Peace – against a
combined count of those killed in the name of any other religion.
Stay tuned for Ramadan Bombathon 2012 (starting on Monday).”
It is part of the holes in the fabric of this Nation.
Of course, now there is a mega-mosque to be built in Tennessee that has been forced on the fabric of America by collusion between the Egyptian government and our own federals.
The religion of rapine, murder and ignorance is now a part of America. We will soon excise it from the body politic as one excises a cancer.
There will be blood.
Ah, but ‘Islam Is Part of the Fabric of Our Nation’. All those slaves came from Arab slave traders, who just happened to be Muslims. Our ancestors fought a War to end slavery and here’s Obama praising those who profited from the institution.
November cannot get here fast enough !!
Make that January 20th. The ten weeks between election and inauguration day will seem interminable. The damage that can be done in that span of time by this man is incalculable.
The political correctness that enables this kind of thing goes far beyond the Presidency or who’s in congress. This has to be addressed on the bureaucratic immigration level. As of now, it is untouchable due to “racism.”
I think you got your nations mixed up, Barry. Judeo-Christian values are the fabric of this country, which gave us religious tolerance, even for other faiths like Islam and Hinduism, or lack of faith, like agnosticism or atheism.
The country you must be thinking of as having Islam in its weave is Indonesia, where you are STILL a citizen. I’ve often suspected that it’s the constitution of Indonesia that you swore allegiance to preserve, protect, and defend a couple of years ago; you certainly have no regard for ours.
Well said–agree.
In my six plus decades I can’t recall any time when anyone made a statement so blatantly untrue and so ridiculously stupid as the one that Barry made about Islam being a part of the fabric of our nation. Could it be any clearer now that Obama is a Muslim? That Obama wants to make America part of the Islamic Caliphate? Our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian values. There is no mention of Islam in any founding document that I can recall.
If Romney doesn’t make good use of Obama bowing and kow-towing to Islam, then he will be making a mistake.
The only part of the fabric of our nation that islam constitutes is a loose or pulled thread that needs cut or burned off.
you mean the part where the guy who helped the Virginia company? escaped from Turkish ( muslim) slavery? to come to America and save the colony. Oh, wait, they enslaved him, so they are part of the story….
or the part where the pirates enslave Candide? and his tutor keeps insisting that ‘everything is getting better’? Like any good progressive?
or the part where we bought muslim- enslaved black people, and then, eventually, too far along, freed them?
or the part where we don’t enforce the law about honor killings today, and muslimas walk in fear, rather than freedom like real Americans? Those Muslims?
I think Barry took over the USA b/c he could, and b/c he couldn’t take over Indonesia. Or Kenya. They knew who he was, and whom he’d come from- he’d've been up against a wall, with a blindfold, and he’d be smoking in public.
What is so insidious about Islam is that it is also an ethnicity that defines peoples. So, to attack Islam is to attack your race, so to speak. I suppose that is why the Muslims that don’t really follow the Koran religiously can be considered “peaceful and good.” While the truly devoted Muslims who adhere to the Koran are the ones that will kill and destroy the infidels and desecrate women. Obama has been paying homage to Ramadan for the past three years. What I don’t understand is why would you honor a religion whose very tenets are to destroy all those who don’t believe in it? I don’t want to live in a theocracy, but this is shameful to honor such an evil and blasphemous *religion.* We don’t need to belittle Muslim people, but we sure don’t need to pay homage to Islam. Please read the letter written to Madame Clinton on behalf of Egyptian reformists: his message shall be (today) hand-delivered to the USA Secretary of State H. Clinton.
Secretary H. Clinton ..
I know, every scholar in the world knows and you (yourself) know that you know very little about Islam, the history of Muslim people, Islamic Jurisprudence, Political Islam, the literature and march of the Muslim Brotherhood since 1928, Wahhabism and the (impossible to be changed) agenda of Egypt’s MBs. I also know that your boss (like yourself) does not know much about all the domains that I just referred to. Obviously, neither you nor your country shall bear the detrimental consequences of the policy that have been drawn by those who know very little about these Islam related subjects.
We (the non-Islamist sons and daughters of Egypt and the 15 million Copts) who will pay a tragic price. The USA failure in Afghanistan and Iraq say a lot about the consequences of policies decided by those who either do not know or they know very little about the characteristics of complexest cultures. I have been more than 40 times to the USA. In these visits I spoke at most of the top think-tanks (The American Enterprise Institute, The Heritage Foundation, The WINEP, the Rand Organization … etc.) and lectured at many of the USA top universities (Princeton, Columbia, California Berkeley … etc.). Even in such reputable organizations I never met with people who understand sufficiently the domains mentioned hereinabove. The exceptions (such as Professor Bernard Lewis and others) were rather tangibly rare and do not negate the phenomenon that Islamism is far from being understood in your (very young) country.
In Egypt, you will here a lot of hypocrisy about how moderate the MBs have become! Which is 100% incorrect. Not only that, but a lie that will cost the non-Islamist Egyptians, the Middle East region, the entire world and the USA a gigantic catastrophe. It takes decades of a hard work and profound research to come to the conclusion that while there are many moderate Muslims, there is no single moderate Islamist on the face of earth. I know (having been the CEO of the world top Oil company at the age of 36) that senior positions affect the human mind and make it (in general) inclined to reject strong advice as this one, but I insist to render such an advice.
I also insist on saying that before the world lives with another Osama bin Laden and another Qa’eda nightmare, I strongly recommend that you arrange to get some intensive education on the true agenda of the MBs. Please do not be offended of this piece of advice. You know that you know very little about Islamism. A briefing by the American (usually “shallow”) advisers (aide-memoires in a few pages) shall never help in this regard. You need to listen (for hours) to a world-class scholar of the caliber of Bernard Lewis. Did I upset you? probably “YES”. But this was not the objective of this message.
The aim was to try to stop the occurrence of another grave mistake such as the one committed in 1979 when the CIA & The Saudi Intelligence (headed at the time by an idiot and radical Islamist named Turky al Faisal) agreed to create the Mujahedene Movements (and troops) to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. While every true scholar was aware that the USSR was about to (naturally) collapse. In 1978, I wrote and published a book that explained how the USSR would collapse in about a decade by the effect of its inner economic decay).
Finally, let me assure you that all the Islamists that you shall meet with today in Cairo are nothing but disguised terrorists … they are (undoubtedly) anti-modernity, anti-tolerance, anti-women-rights, anti-plurality, anti-otherness, anti-freedom of speech and anti-critical mind …. they are atavistic, destructive and backward criminals more than anything that you could imagine. With my best regards,
Tarek Heggy.
Cairo : 14th July, 2012.
The above views of Mr. Heggy are shared by many Egyptians whose hopes for freedom were crushed by the Islamists who are now treated as serious partners by the US government. Obama’s support and welcome of the Muslim Brotherhood to power as a moderate group goes against what the majority of many Egyptians believe. America does not have to take a sides in complex internal Arabs conflicts. When we take sides, we end up blamed and taking sides in Libya, Egypt, Syria etc. will eventually come back to bite us. It is better and wiser for America to standby and let the Arab League handle internal matters and civil wars. The choice for America’s national interests are not supporting the Muslim Brotherhood either. So why are we taking sides?

“fabric of our nation” he said, putting away his needle and thread
If Obama is re-elected to four more years Islam and Obamacare will tear the country apart. A new civil war, perhaps?
uh …. no.
“Ramadan ‘Reminds Us that Islam Is Part of the Fabric of Our Nation’”
America to Obama: You’re not in Indonesia anymore.
The Colorado shooting started 1/2 hour into Ramadan!
