A member of the House Judiciary Committee hand-delivered a letter to House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) today asking him to stop tomorrow’s planned contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder.
“I have been a member of the House Judiciary Committee for quite some time now and never in my years of service have I seen an action as short sighted and partisan as this when it comes to the Attorney General of the United States or any other Cabinet Member of the President of the United States,” said Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas). “I have witnessed hearings on Impeachment of a President, Waco and other procedures but this possible contempt vote is nothing but a partisan political investigation.”
Sixty-five additional Democrats signed the letter asking Boehner to abandon a vote on the resolution, which passed the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on a party-line vote last week.
“This sixteen-month investigation found no evidence whatsoever that the Attorney General knew about ‘gun-walking.’ Fast and Furious was a bottom-up strategy. There is no evidence of White House involvement in ‘gun-walking’ – as Chairman Issa admitted on national TV last weekend. ‘Gun-walking’ started in 2006 under the Bush Administration,” Jackson Lee said.
The letter says that the conflict “can also be resolved without holding Attorney General Holder in contempt.”
“We believe the Attorney General is acting in good faith based upon his actions over the course of the past 15 months,” the Democrats write.
“A contempt citation should be an act of last resort, after lengthy preliminary procedures, negotiations, gathering of evidence through other methods, appeals to potential intercessors and intermediaries. Again, throughout our nation’s history, Contempt Citations have been extraordinarily rare which is evidenced by the fact that the House has declared just four people in contempt over the last three decades. For these reasons and more we request that you elect not to bring the Contempt Citation to the Floor this Thursday.”

We were fooling ourselves by thinking America had become a post-racial society. The Obama administration is doing everything possible to show us the error of that belief.

However, the CBC walking out…if that was Rangel’s “secret action” he was talking about then to that I say, “Fine, leave. Don’t want you around here no-how. Don’t let the door hit ya in the ass on the way out.”
It’s how I treat people who have all the gall but none of the courage. All of the contempt but none of the wisdom. All of the anger but none of the tolerance.

The democrats who signed this letter are admitting that breaking the law is OK with them as long as a black person does it.
You know, after all these years of people like Shiela, Elijah Cummins, Jesse Jackson Jr. and Maxine Waters babbling and blathering, you’d think that normal people would begin to think that, “while I’m a liberal, progressive, through and through, these black folks really are dumb and mendacious!”

Hmm, they must not watch the news because in March 24, 2009 Project Gun Runner (Fast and Furious) was launched under the orders of President Barack Obama with the knowledge of Attorney General Eric Holder. Deputy Attorney General David Ogden announced the Obama Administration’s new and aggressive ‘comprehensive plan’ on March, 24, 2009. The plan was aimed at disrupting gun trafficking between the United States and Mexico.
The first words were: “The president has directed us to… ”
Actually Obama, Holder, Pelosi, Janet Napolitiano, Hillary Clinton, etc ALL knew in 2009.
Let me remind you: Obama signed funding for Project Gunrunner into law- he tried to pass H.R.495 Southwest Border Violence Reduction Act of 2009 asking for 15,000,000 for Project Gunrunner. It didn’t make it out of committee. So he (Obama) rolled into the stimulus package a month later.H.R.1 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009… $10,000,000 shall be transferred to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Salaries and Expenses for the ATF Project Gunrunner.
Then in a 2009 speech by Holder on the Department of Justice’s own website that proves the attorney general was well aware of Operation Gunrunner (back in EARLY 2009).
Holder gave a speech at the arms trafficking conference in Cuernavaca, Mexico, on April 2, 2009, in which he boasted about Operation ‘Gunrunner” and told Mexican authorities of everything he was doing to insure its success.
In Cuernavaca, Holder not only acknowledged the program, he bragged that he was in the process of expanding it:
“Last week, our administration launched a major new effort to break the backs of the cartels. My department is committing 100 new ATF personnel to the Southwest border in the next 100 days to supplement our ongoing Project Gunrunner, DEA is adding 16 new positions on the border, as well as mobile enforcement teams, and the FBI is creating a new intelligence group focusing on kidnapping and extortion. DHS is making similar commitments, as Secretary Napolitano will detail.”
The thing that they (and everyone else) must realize is that these guns are killing not just Mexican but 47 (FORTY-SEVEN) of them were found in Arizona at different raids and crime scenes.
We cannot be sure how many have been killed by this, but we can be sure that under OUR laws it is prosecution for Murder for everyone involved. Yep, even Obama. For all involved it is also treason: Because they supplied arms to illegal gunrunners for foreign nation that was murdered people in that country and later was used on American soil to kill US citizens.
I understand that the many videos of that news release and the following about the other raids and crime scenes in Arizona are all being “removed” so that “We the people” cannot see them. That is okay, many have them downloaded.
