Obama Picks an Interesting Date for his Re-Election Launch
May 4, 2012 - 9:48 am
A day ahead of May Day, President Barack Obama rolled out his new campaign slogan: “Forward.”
“Forward” has a rich history adorning socialist and communist campaigns and publications worldwide, across the decades. May Day is the big marching and celebrating day for socialists and communists the world over, and has been for more than 100 years. Forward from May Day, seemed to be the Obama message.
On Saturday, May 5th, the Obama re-election campaign officially gets underway.
May 5th, it turns out, is Karl Marx’s birthday. Perhaps Obama will use his kickoff speech to discuss how those with means should give more to those who have needs, and call on the workers of the world to unite.
