Video: Obama jokes that Republicans want ‘alligators and moats’ on the border

This smirking jackwagon of a president delivers us jokes, just days after 13 people, including a Mexican marine, were killed in a firefight on Falcon Lake, which straddles the Texas-Mexico border. Ha ha, Mr. President, this drug war south of nature’s moat known as the Rio Grande is making Mexico one of the most dangerous countries in the Western Hemisphere. Phoenix is still the kidnapping capital of the west. Hezbollah is setting up shop in Mexico. Ha ha, that’s a real knee slapper. You, sir, are a comic genius.

prezbo is cunning, not intelligent and definitely not funny … he is clueless and incompetent … Texas is burning and the Mississippi River is washing everything away ….

  2. I dunno, a moat with alligators would be better than the “virtual fence” the pro-illegal-immigrant forces have been pushing for years.

      i concur

this is the best idea the president has had since he’s been in office

  3. I’m surprised he didn’t deliver his lines while taking a Bob Hope imaginary golf swing.

You know, alligators and moats don’t sound all bad. What we’re doing now sure doesn’t seem to work.

“This smirking jackwagon of a president…”

Consider his stunning political acuity, to make this speech in El Paso, where Fort Bliss is located (and soldiers are notoriously conservative in their politics). Also El Paso is a town overrun with illegals. Oh, and located right across the border from where Drug Lords are whacking anyone and everyone with impunity.

And here he is telling everyone of the fairness of allowing millions of illegals to keep flooding into this nation.

    Holy Moley, what an idiot.

Objective, control our border. Process, hire more border patrol officers. Accomplish the objective not enlarge the process.

    Facts is facts:

Obama Signed $600 Million Border Security Bill For More Border Patrol Agents And Customs Inspectors. On August 13, 2010, Obama signed a $600 million border security bill to “fund some 1,500 new border patrol agents, customs inspectors and other law enforcement officials along the border, as well as two more unmanned aerial ‘drones’ to monitor border activities.” [Reuters, 8/13/10]

Seizures Of Drugs, Weapons Along Border Have Increased. According to data reported by USA Today, “[w]eapons seizures rose 28% and illicit-currency seizures were up 35% in fiscal 2009 and 2010.” [USA Today, 2/9/11]

Deportations Have Increased Under Obama. According to data from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), nearly 100,000 more people were deported by ICE in both 2009 and 2010 than in 2007. [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, accessed 2/14/11]

Deportations Of Convicted Criminals Are At Their Highest Levels. According to AZ Fact Check — a project of The Arizona Republic, AZCentral.com, 12 News, and Arizona State University — “ICE has removal numbers immediately available for only the past 10 fiscal years, and according to those figures, the most convicted criminals were indeed removed in fiscal 2010.” [AZ Fact Check, 2/9/11]

Illegal Immigration Fell In FY 2010 Due To “Economic Distress” And “Changes In The Level Of Immigration Enforcement.” In a study on the national and state trends of the unauthorized immigrant population in the United States, Pew Hispanic Center found that “economic distress” and “changes in the level of immigration enforcement” led to a decrease in the number of undocumented immigrants crossing into the United States.
