I was going to ignore Andrea Mitchell’s vapid, stupid, and just weird assertion that Republicans now are somehow wrong for hanging on to the heroic legacy of a great Republican president. I mean, this is Andrea Mitchell we’re talking about. When was the last time she had a clue? I honestly can’t remember.
But now, pace Mitchell, here comes Eugene Robinson to say pretty much the same thing: Today’s Republicans would regard Reagan as something less than an orthodox conservative. Riiiiight.
Here’s what’s going on. Liberals in the media have surrendered to Ronaldus Magnus. They’ve surrendered to him. They called Reagan a radical back in the day. They fretted that his election would trigger world war with the Soviets. They believed and said every bad thing about Reagan then that they say about conservatives now. And none of what they said or did mattered at all. Reagan defeated them, and his record still defeats them now.
So they’ve surrendered, and are trying to rip him out of the conservative movement’s hands.

Stealing someone else’s Mojo: the hallmark of the talentless and unimaginative.
My fellow Americans, Im pleased to tell you today that Ive signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes.
The media over reaction to this joke by Reagan made this teenager understand once and for all that the media was not on our side to win the cold war. Can you imagine any of todays Republicans telling such a joke?
Where do we go to call for Mitchell to retire? She’s obviously suffering from some horrible malady, and either needs to spend her twilight years in peace, or put her energy into the medical treatment she so desperately needs.
