Rep Robert Brady

Watching Rep. Robert Brady (D-PA) on Fox with Megyn Kelly.  He’s the congressman proposing to ban the use of crosshairs and targets in political ads, in spite of the fact that there is so far not a scintilla of evidence connecting any such map to Jared Lee Loughner’s heinous acts on Saturday.  Not a scintilla.  Loughner appears to be a standard paranoiac who attempted to get himself in the history books via suicide-by-cop.  Restricting the free speech rights of the sane does nothing to stop the insane.

More: Fellow Tatler Richard Pollock emails and adds that Brady’s proposal is “An Orwellian moment. Probably more to come this week.”  Unfortunately, I think that’s right.
