Obama, the Democrats, and The Society for the Preservation of Racism
When Barack Obama asserted – in advance of a jury trial or grand jury investigation, let alone a completed police investigation – that he identified with young Trayvon Martin, the black teenager shot and killed in Florida, it was an extraordinarily reactionary moment with possible ramifications of interference with the justice system.
But it was not surprising.
Since obtaining the presidency, Barack Obama has led a Democratic Party that would be better called The Society for the Preservation of Racism.
The reason is evident. Increasingly, racism – and more generally the division of our country into racial and ethnic interest groups — is all the Democrats have. The rest of liberal/leftist ideology is disintegrating all around them, as fragile and illusory as the welfare state itself.
Without racism – or more exactly the putative existence of racism – the Democratic Party would be an association of overpaid trade union executives, unemployed Occupy movement sympathizers and trial lawyers. In other words – mighty small.
So no wonder Barack Obama rushes to judgment in a case for which none of us know the true details, a case, moreover, in which those details are so obscure and debatable that they may be ultimately unknowable, our opinions mere projections of our prejudices and beliefs.
Did the six-foot-two Martin sufficiently injure or threaten to injure George Zimmerman to justify a mortal response? Frankly, I don’t know and suspect I never will know to any degree of certainty. I also will probably never know to what degree race had to do with it, if anything.
Nevertheless – tragic as it is and was for Trayvon Martin, his family and friends – the teenager’s death is an ultimately marginal event in a gigantic country, a one in 311 million shot, the furthest thing imaginable from an epidemic of any sort.
When this death was first publicized last week, Leon de Winter made this clear when he published statistics in PJ Media indicating the numbers of white on black and black on white murders are minuscule in the USA. In the years 1974 -2004 “86% of white murders had white offenders, and 94% of black murders had black offenders.”
By 2009, according to Department of Justice statistics, the number of white murder victims had declined to 3518 of whom 454 were killed by blacks (for whatever reason – who knows if they were racist?). Black victims were at 2867 of whom 209 were killed by whites (again for whatever reason). By way of comparison, traffic deaths for the same year were 33,963. Obviously, you have much better chance of being killed by a Porsche than by a racist.
Still, Obama and the Democrats think we have a Big Race Problem. As an ex-civil rights worker (South Carolina, 1966), I cry $%&^#! (That’s a word recently employed by presidential candidate Rick Santorum when a addressing a reporter.)
Proof that we are no longer a racist country is everywhere. (Yes, I know racists still exist. So do pederasts and spousal abusers. They always will. But racists are a decreasing minority.) But no proof was more interesting and powerful than when the late Andrew Breitbart offered $100,000 to anyone who could give evidence even one person in the Tea Party was racist.
I don’t know how many people identify with the Tea Party, but given the recent election, it should run into the millions. Yet no one could come forth with a single verifiable racist – not even with the motivation of a hundred grand.
The truth is racists are pariahs in America, as they should be, more so probably than in any country in the world.
So why do Democrats and soi-disant liberal/progressives persist in calling us racist? Paramount, of course, is the political self-interest referred to above. But other reasons exist. In an earlier article, I wrote of a Nostalgia for Racism, a yearning for the halcyon days of the civil rights movement when we all could feel righteous (or self-righteous) for battling the likes of Bull Connors or George Wallace.
Unfortunately, however, things have gotten nastier. What we see now is an attempt — conscious or unconscious — to generate racism by false accusation, literally to manufacture it.
This desperate behavior as racism diminishes is what we see in Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and, needless to say, Louis Farrakhan. But it is also visible buried not far below the surface of our president, the man who promised to be a post-racial president.
So most of us were therefore unsurprised when Obama injected himself almost instantly into the Martin-Zimmerman Affair. He just couldn’t resist, just as he couldn’t resist injecting himself when the Cambridge police had the most minor dust-up with Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates.
Racism had to be preserved. It just couldn’t go away.
What is the solution to this endlessly depressing syndrome? Way back in 2005, the actor Morgan Freeman hit the nail on the proverbial head when being interviewed by 60 Minutes’ Mike Wallace. “Stop talking about it,” said Freeman to the astonished Wallace. “I’m going to stop calling you a white man. And I’m going to ask you to stop calling me a black man.”
No truer words on the subject have ever been spoken. Too bad Freeman couldn’t adhere to them himself.
But the story isn’t entirely sad. Racists still are pariahs, even if race baiters are everywhere. We should all remember that – and keeping mocking the race baiters until they go away. That, for good or ill, is our assignment. Whoever said it would be simple?

Dear Roger,
As a child, when I read To Kill a Mockingbird, I was dumbfounded by the lynch mob. The behavior seemed far fetched, though I knew that in a distant time and place, such loathsome creatures surely existed. Tonight that time and place doesn’t seem so distant. In all my days, I never expected to hear sympathy for the mob coming from the Oval Office. Where is this “(p)roof that we are no longer a racist country”?
I support the liberalization of firearms laws, though tonight I worry that a grim harvest lies ahead, with the bodies of the Trayvon Martins in our midst stacking up like cordwood.
Yours truly,
ThOR
The Minitrue piece that spawned a million lawyers and the neo-Left.
Glad you mentioned it.
I’ve seen no comment in this kerfuffle designed by the Media and their puppets in government – commanded to guard the rights of Americans – of the real tragedy in this sorry episode.
The real tragedy in events as propagated by Media is that Mr. Zimmerman, an American living in an American state in the early 20th century, not in Zimbabwe, Korea, Libya, any African or Asian country, etc…, is caught up in these events even before his recount of the incidents is known.
1. He was neighbourhood watch member? What is Neighbourhood Watch? Why in America a Country of Law with citizens generally respectful of the rights and freedom of their neighbours and their peace is such a Watch possible/necesssary?
2. A voluntary protector giving his time and energy which might have been spent on more personal interests for the neighbourhood peace shot a young man.
How often has this been a part of his behaviours? In a peaceful environment such an act is hardly credible for a responsible and protective citizen. What happened to make him act in the ways reported? What were his motives. We have lots of people who it appears do not know this man, have never spoken to him to get his reasons, who have decided what his motives are/were. What does he say? Is what he says credible?
What happened to the vaunted fairness and generosity of Americans in those jumping onto this bandwagon with the trumpets and drums of interested self-important groups, often proven dishonest, Media commentators and politicians. Groups who have showed little adherence to or respect for the American ethos of fairness and generosity.
You get my drift?
My sister lives in an integrated neighborhood in southwest Chicago. She dismisses the idea that it is a dangerous area yet there were four or five murders in her neighborhood this year. Her daughter-in-law, who lives nearby, has to go to her daughter’s school every week to complain about bullying of this one white child in a school dominated by blacks. My nephew hopes that he can soon afford Catholic school for his kids.
St Patrick’s Day weekend, there were nearly a dozen shootings in Chicago and they weren’t Irish. Tom Wolfe will understand the yearning for “the great white defendant.”
Trayvon Martin, history in reverse. A whole segment of black society to stupid and naive to see where mob law leads. Ignorant of the past, their past, the just plain dumb, lead by racists and racist instigators, Sharpton and Jackson. The only difference today is the color of their pointy hats, find the Tom Dooley tree for these two low lifers.
Okay, reality check. I always find it fascinating when white people are surprised that black people don’t trust them not to screw over them. Folks, pick up a history book. Those days when whites were using blacks to decorate trees, aren’t that far in the past. And saying that blacks have more to fear from black criminals, isn’t really news. Blacks, in many case have to live next to those thugs. Pointing out they exist, is along the lines of saying the sun rises in the east. But there’s something especially galling about one of our own ending up dead, at the hands of one of our long time tormenters. Opens up, old, old, wounds. And no, it’s not an excuse to act as bad as our tormentors used to, but for some reason behavior of blacks when one of these incidents arises is supposed to be free of all the historical baggage, the incident brings with it.Not to mention that much of the uproar is often created by a white, liberal, mainstream media in furtherance of their own agenda. As a black man, I’m tired of getting beat over the head with a Sharptoon, or a Jackassson, or the NBPP; when in reality their base of support lies in the newsrooms of the media.
If you’re tired of the Sharptons, et. al., of the world being your mouthpiece to the rest of the country, then speak up and call them on it. Otherwise, don’t complain when your silence tells the rest of us that race it the only thing that informs your position on any issue. That’s racist to the core, and whether you think your justified in your racism or not is moot.

Black people own MSNBC? News to me. As is our ownership of all the other media outlets where we see the usual suspects with cringe inducing regularity. You white folks play these clowns up, and then turn around and use them as a hammer over the heads of blacks. Maybe if you removed your head from your posterior, you know that there are any number of black commentators that disagree with every word out of these peoples mouths. But because YOU are too lazy to look, it’s OUR fault. As for race informing my position, if anything that’s the lesson white people have taught black people for centuries. And then you want to clime onto your damn high horse because we haven’t forgotten it in the little bit of time since you decided to turn over a new leaf. Okay, given the history of this country why should any black man, trust any white man, until the white man has proven himself worthy of that trust. I see white posters, infer it’s alright to be suspicious of any black male walking down the street, then in the very next line get all hurt because it’s pointed out that there is equal – if not – greater reason to be leery of whites. You label it “racism” when in reality it’s realism. Here’s a question, you bring up the subject of a black hate group like the NBPP, that’s one black hate group of undetermined size. Want to go into how many Neo-Nazi, white supremacist groups there are? Its not of interest that there are so many blacks out there unwilling to give whites the benefit of the doubt, but how many blacks are willing to trust you at your word.
Yeah, yeah, your bigotry is our fault. We get it. We just don’t believe it.
Okay, reality check.
“Those days when whites were using blacks to decorate trees, aren’t that far in the past.” 50 years isn’t enough? And note, it is in the past. If people would stop dredging it up, maybe we could leave it there as a fact to be noted rather than a tool to stir people up.
“But there’s something especially galling about one of our own ending up dead, at the hands of one of our long time tormenters.” I was not aware that hispanics had been tormenting black people for so long.
“And no, it’s not an excuse to act as bad as our tormentors used to, but for some reason behavior of blacks when one of these incidents arises is supposed to be free of all the historical baggage, the incident brings with it.” Yes, it is, or you ARE making an excuse.
“Not to mention that much of the uproar is often created by a white, liberal, mainstream media in furtherance of their own agenda.” Yeah. So?
“As a black man, I’m tired of getting beat over the head with a Sharptoon, or a Jackassson, or the NBPP; when in reality their base of support lies in the newsrooms of the media.” Of course. What happens to their power and position if racism disappears? That’s why they take every opportunity to keep it alive.
No.
Fifty years is not enough.
Not nearly enough.
Fifty years is within the lifetime of many people living today. It’s not ancient history. The effects are not gone. Not even close.
This discussion is an expression of the problem that Republicans have in winning the black vote.
In one corner we have the race-baiters like Sharpton, Jackson, Wright. Vile as these people are, they DO know something that few white people know. They know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of institutional racism. It would not be at all surprising if each of these men personally knew someone who was killed for simply being black in the wrong place at the wrong time of day. Living with that cannot be without profound effects that go beyond mere logic.
In another corner we have conservatives who are NOT racist, and who are justly tired of being accused of being racist, and who see the likes of Sharpton, et al, doing all they can to profit from and perpetuate racism.
In yet another corner we have black people like Mike Giles here who have rejected the Sharpton world view, but who DO understand racism in a way that most of us white people cannot. These are often frustrated by statements like those on this discussion, or from the likes of Rush Limbaugh, saying that racism is no longer a problem and blacks should just basically get over it.
I had an interesting discussion with two young black people who were attending Patrick Henry College. PHC is a Christian, very fundamental, politically active private college dedicated to equipping young men & women to be involved in our nation in a big way. They cater to Christian homeschoolers, and they have impressive academics. These two young people (brother and sister) told me that they have a very different view of racism than their parents do. They recognize that it does exist, but do not see it as an impediment to their success. They know they will run into racists, but as the young lady put it, “Those people can’t stop you anymore. They aren’t in control anymore. You just go around them.” On the other hand, they said, their parents see racism just about everywhere. These kids don’t.
We are not merely intellectual, rational creatures. We are also emotional creatures. Emotions affect our outlook on life. Just ask any rape victim. Would it surprise you if a woman whose first sexual experience was a gang rape, then had trouble with her sex life in marriage? Anyone who would expect her to “just get over it” is – I’ll put this as kindly as I can – is a drooling idiot on his best days.
We whites cannot fathom the emotional damage that has been done by racism. We CAN be mature enough to recognize that there is a big SOMETHING there that we cannot understand, and to allow for it in our dealings with black people, be they conservative or liberal.
If more Republicans would at least make an ATTEMPT to understand the black person’s point of view, if we’d TRY to recognize the damage that’s been done, if we’d stop parroting El Rushbo when he says that racism is gone, we’d have far more success in liberating the black community from the liberal plantation.
But if all we can to is tell them to shut up and get over it, we have no chance.
Honestly? My family never owned slaves, until about my grandfather they didn’t even own a house. It’s not like all white people are in any way assoceated with slavery. Regardless, even if my grandfather had been a proud member of the KKK and a slave holding rebel, I have nothing to do with it. Black people have enslaved white people too, and white people have enslaved white people (St. Patrick, anyone?). Black people sold other black people to American slave traders. We can whine and play the blame game all day, but it doesn’t help and just screws up the world even more. The guy who got killed was black. You’re black. He had bones, I have bones. Yippe! How about we focus on actual simmilarites, like if he and I both like anime, or are Christian, or like the same music. You know what would happen if, say, a Jewish guy or a Polish or French guy tried to claim that they felt racially/nationally abbused as a group at the hands of some GGerman?! They’d be called idiots (which they would be) even though their grievance is much more recent and has a much larger negative affect on them. Man up and quit the groupthink
Starting around 1964, millions of people were murdered, injured or traumatized thanks to the extreme lenience arising from activist opposition to enforcing the law, lenience that arose directly from misguided racial politics. The black community paid a great deal for this and so did the white community: we all paid for this, and it still exists today, and to speak about the Trayvon Martin case while ignoring it is not speaking honestly.
This is, of course, harder to discuss than grandstanding about one’s own special insight. But every time a black life or a white life or any other life is lost or damaged because the law wasn’t enforced — because activists using racial arguments have kept it from being enforced — that’s another new betrayal to add to a mountain of betrayals. Fifty years of them: the last fifty years. That is to be condemned, not crudely winked at. It is the real problem today, and I suspect on some level you know it.
Many of us have wounds from injustices far less old than than the ones you denounce here, and they have nothing to do with individual views on race but everything to do with being denied justice as a consequence of systemic suppression of the ability and will of our justice system. We’ve now endured several generations of this recent history and a great deal of blood on the streets, and while it may excite you to lecture others as if you are above the fray thanks to an accident of birth, it doesn’t reflect well on your judgment. Save your “white people don’t understand” lecture for people who haven’t been alive for any part of the last half-century.
I find if fascinating when modern racists insist that all living white people are genetically predetermined to act just as did in some arbitrarily selected history lesson, so as to deceitfully validate their own anti-white prejudice. I also find it fascinating when people believe their racist color judgements represent “knowledge” of millions of people they have never met, and that this “knowledge” validates their prejudice.
Well, Mike, I hear what you’re saying and I agree those wounds won’t heal entirely while there are still people around who remember and lived through Jim Crow. My family were among the Scots-Irish who settled the North Carolina colony and while it’s doubtful any of them owned slaves (they weren’t in that economic strata), it’s also a pretty sure bet that few, if any, were abolitionists.
I spent considerable time in the south as a kid. North Carolina by then was well past lynchings and well into the “separate but equal” stage. My grandmother used to drive me around to show me the new schools, libraries, etc they had built for “our Negros” (descendants of some of Granny’s Negros today own the house in which both my mother and I were born). I’m not sure anyone can understand the black/white dynamic in the south unless they’ve experienced it for themselves. On the other hand, I was raised in the “integrated” north which had a dynamic all its own. Even though we lived in major cities like Detroit and Chicago, it wasn’t until I got back to the NY metro area that I actually attended school with blacks or even encountered them on a routine basis. My sister, born in Detroit, had never even seen a black person (not one that registered on her consciousness anyway) until her first day at school in New Jersey when she came home all excited about the “little girl with the colored face” in her class who was her new best friend. Strange days that are well put behind us, but not forgotten, not by a long shot.
I have two songs that confront the Jim Crow era on my MP3 playlist, Billie Holiday’s Strange Fruit and Ethel Waters’ Suppertime. They’re both fine songs/performances but also, I think, it’s important to occasionally remind ourselves of and examine the shameful episodes in our history. I keep those songs close for same reason I make it a point to visit places like Manzanar.
Suki,
I understand it perfectly. Went to school in Alabama starting in the late 60′s. Wallace was still governor and classrooms were integrated. Blacks kids from day one, many of whom I graduated with 12 years later. We made it work; we played ball together, hung out, did the usual stuff kids do. And yes, there were fights, though mostly because two guys got mad at each other; the color combination was irrelevant.
Please stop with how much better the sainted North was for race relations because it does not wash. Boston’s bussing days make Birmingham look like Sunday school. Speaking of B’ham, at least one black has been mayor; ditto for Atlanta, Jackson, and New Orleans. The racial hoax perpetrated by Sharpton was in New York, not Mississippi; the Springsteen song about “40 shots” was, too.
Yes, there are some here who still hold hard feelings and it cuts both ways. But its curious how the race hustlers always seem to be based in Northern states, where integration is a long word found only in dictionaries.
Odd you should mention the the racial dynamic in the South versus the North. Dick Gregory had a joke about that. It went:” In the South, they didn’t care how close a negro gets, as long as he doesn’t get too big. In the North, the don’t care how big a negro gets, as long as he doesn’t get too close”. One of the problems I had with the movie:“The Help”, was the supposed Southern attitude toward the physical proximity of blacks. That didn’t ring true to me.
Interesting – the idea that whites were “decorating trees with blacks.” From my reading, while there were many lynchings of blacks, there were also many, many, many lynchings of whites. At one point, in Mississippi and Louisiana, you were in grave danger of lynching if you were an Italian immigrant!
The last lynching in California was of two white men who kidnapped and murdered a white man.
How about we simply stamp on lynching, period?
When does it end, Mike? When is it ever enough?
My ancestors came to this country in 1909, so my family never owned a slave. We came over very poor, and so likely experienced a lot of bad treatment like so many other poor people of whatever color. So what?
How much of “our country’s past” do my ancestors own? How much have I inherited? When do I get to expect that you won’t hold me personally responsible for bad things that didn’t even happen to you, Mike?
When you say that we don’t seem to understand where you’re coming from, you’re right! I have no context for what you seem to feel, but honestly, I don’t think you have any context for it, either.
Perhaps the difference is I grew up NOT hearing it from people around me every, single day. Oh sure, my old man would use the “N” word a lot and decry black people. But my best friend in Kindergarten was a black boy named TJ. So, I learned at an early age that “Dad’s not always right”.
When will you learn that, Mike? Should I also hold you responsible for all the other black people who think like you? If I do that, it’s never going to end for any of us. You need to let it go, man.
Nice talking points. Too bad you thinking is 19th century. I call your attention to Bill Cosby’s book, “Come on People!” He pointed out that the problems in the Black community are self generated. The leading cause of death for young Black males is homicide, at the hands of other Black males! Where is the outrage? The Black highschool drop out rate is multiples of other races! Of course, they make themselves unemployable. Where is the outrage? These and other self-inflicted-wounds are documented in his book. Cosby’s book was met with outrage in the Black community, particularily so with the elites of the community!
You are saying racist stereotypes are ok so long as it is an African American holding them!
Look what they did to Herman Cain! How dare he trample on the victim mentality that is so lucrative to certain blacks and to the progressive movement. There is still some prejudice here and there, but its definitely not prevalent and a black man or woman has the same chance to be successful as a white man or woman if they work hard. Imagine, the caring dems and progressive blacks railroading him for not keeping in his place on the plantation.
I applaud Bill Cosby and those like him who recognize that successful blacks need to mentor those who haven’t let go of the past.
I am a white woman, and have, like most people, observed the terrible humiliation and abuse the black people suffered. How convenient to say, “Get over it!” Sure, most whites want all those abused people and their children to “get over it”-so they can feel more comfortable. It is so selfish of them to be hurt and mistrustful, when it makes them feel inconvenienced. Fifty years is NOT enough time to “get over it”-not when it is in living memory of many. The blacks have been longsuffering and patient toward the whites, by and large.
The only people who tell others to “get over it” have never been “under it.”
Why is it that we are told never to forget the horrors of the Holocaust (no-there is no comparison in one sense-only in that people suffered) and they are relived every year, they even have a “catch-cry” “Never forget! Never forget lest the same mistakes are repeated!” How right they (the Jews) are to remind the world of the awful atrocities they suffered! Many are still alive today who witnessed these things. Whilst the suffering of Blacks (physically) was to a far lesser degree, why are people telling them to “forget the past” and “move on!” I believe they WANT to move on (no body likes hurt and anger), but it will take more than a kick in the rear-end and scolding to do it-perhaps the Blacks should have a special Remembrance Day each year with photos of atrocities they endured at the hands of white people; and a catch-cry: “Never forget! Never forget lest the same mistakes are repeated!” Wounds as deep as those suffered by the Blacks in USA will take a lot longer to heal and the healing will not come about as a result of sarcasm and indifference to their pain. I know now you will believe I am in fact black, pretending to be white, if I was, I’d say so or say nothing; but I do not lie, for I fear God who says that “all liars shall have their part in the Lake of fire that burns with sulfur.” (in Revelation.)
Aren’t the people who have prejudged this case calling it racist actually the real racists? Even if it turns out to be a case of racism on the part of Zimmerman, haven’t those who look an incident without knowing the facts but calling it racism based on the races of the people involved doing that very thing they are complaining of?
“Racists still are pariahs, even if race baiters are everywhere. We should all remember that – and keeping mocking the race baiters until they go away.”
Well, white racists are pariahs. Not so sure about black racists. That’s just another term for race baiters; self-hating whites allow it to perpetuate.
Mr. Simon’s statement bugged me, but I couldn’t put my finger on it.
Thank you for clarifying it’s error!
Non-white racists are called spokesmen.
Activists. An activist needs a cause. The more deeply the activist identifies with his or her activism, his or her cause, the less they are inclined to let it go. What does an Al Sharpton or a Jesse Jackson do with himself if race isn’t really a big deal? And they can always use the excuse that if they relax even slightly, Jim Crow will come roaring back with a vengeance.
Perfect.
Only for the gender-racists.
For the rest of us they are spokespersons.
We can all agree that racism is bad. Therefore, reverse-racism is bad too. And, furthermore, pulling the race card disingenuously is clearly something that only douchebags do. As children, we all learned the parable of the boy who cried wolf. Pulling the race card inappropriately and disingenuously is about as cool as yelling “bomb” in an airport these days as a prank. It is not cool to get other people all riled up with disingenuous claims before the facts are in. Again, that is something douchebags do.
I don’t believe in “reverse” racism. It’s just another code word for the libs/progs, implying that it really doesn’t exist. After all, we know that *only* whites even CAN BE racist (yeah, right, ha ha).
Racism IS racism IS racism! Racism is ANY behavior toward another motivated simply b/c they have diff. colored skin than you (“you” in the general sense, not Shawn specific).
For a good laugh, use the following link to see a rant on this subject — Foamy the Squirrel’s [black] squirrel friend “Madd Hatta”.

Reverse Racism somehow changed meanings. Originally it was the acting overly nice to people because of their race or ethnicity. Basically you think that one race can not compete on a level playing field so you give them advantages, ignore mistake because they are not as good as you. Racism was the outward hatred of a race or ethnicity. Racism and reverse racism never actually had which race can do which because all races can do both.
Astute observation,”self-hating whites allow it to perpetuate”. My parents are white collar north easterners who raised me in Atlanta. My, indocrination into critical race theory began early. As an individual, personally and professionally(50yo)my life’s experience has been generally devoid of obvious racism. When I recently attempted dialog with my parents re, “manufactured racism”, my father related that I was a southern, Protestant(code for “redneck”) bigot who needed to “examine my conscience”. This from a man who oft used the “n” word and referred to MLK as a “rabble rouser” during our childhood. Obama has done a real number on the white guilters. This is a big issue for the future of race relations in America!
Having for years now been called a “raaaaasisct” by my own parents, I feel your pain.
“self-hating whites allow it to perpetuate”
Uh, no. It can’t be self-hating whites because the phony charges of racism do not hurt whites – they hurt blacks. Rather, it’s a political tool that creates a dependent group, the alleged racism victim. The reason inner cities are crime-ridden cesspools is the antics of the race hustlers who convince young blacks that the rules of society do not apply to them. They throw away their educational opportunities because “the white man won’t hire them anyway”, they “act stupidly” and wind up in jail, they have mountains of self-esteem but no self-respect, and are incapable of living productive and useful lives. They will be forever dependent on the taxpayer for their sustenance.
It’s not self-hating whites. When you look at the race hustlers you’re seeing the face of evil.
Uh, no. It can’t be self-hating whites because the phony charges of racism do not hurt whites – they hurt blacks.
Phony charges of racism are nearly always manufactured to punish or discourage or maliciously attack people of pallor attempting to make a logical argument on the facts.
The hurt to blacks is a distant secondary effect in this case.
I do mean that self-hating whites allow it to perpetuate. They and another group of whites, the white guilt white, allow the taint of past transgressions to hang over their heads like a guillotine that they freely put their heads under. Rest assured if whites wanted to stop this, they could simply stop giving quarter to the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and challenge Barack Obama on silly positions (why exactly would his mythical son be like Trayvon? The fact that he is President mean that any mythical son he had would be nothing like Trayvon and not even have his experiences).
Racism can only exist at a macro level if the racists are given power. That is why so many race hustlers are loathe for you to point out the disparities of black-on-black crime, the effects of social programs on the black community and the fact that the majority of whites helped elect a black man (after all, more than 70% of the country is still majority white). To state these things is to take away their power, but the self-hating white man and the white guilt white will be quiet about such things (the former more than the latter; the latter at least raising a question about these things, but not standing his ground on it) in order to assuage or empower blacks whom have come to benefit from such an arrangement.
These are all my opinions, of course, but that opinion does come from years of observation.
Here’s where we differ:
You’re saying the phony racism charges are allowed to happen.
I’m saying they’re caused to happen.
When the Civil Rights Act was passed the Democratic Party owned the South. When the Democrats passed the legislation for “The Great Society” they told blacks “we, who have discriminated against you for decades, will now lead you to salvation”. And the black leaders signed on because anybody who was anybody in the South was a Democrat. The Great Society destroyed the Black Community… not because the Democrats were racists but because a successful Black Community was a direct threat to the existing power structure. Many of the same players are still around today and other have joined the race hustle business. The goal of the phony racism charges is to keep blacks on the Democratic Party Plantation, thereby keeping them dependent on the existing power structure.
This isn’t about racism, it’s about political power.
No, ChrisS, I didn’t say the phony racism charges are allowed to happen. You don’t need to infer anything from what I have written: If I want to make a point explicit, I will do so.
And I do believe you are repeating what I am saying, but you are severely discounting the racism part. Indeed, racism and political power go hand in hand; why do you think the Democratic Party has invested quite a bit of energy in hyping any transgression between blacks and whites, blacks and the police, and blacks and the “system” in general? If blacks suddenly became aware of how their lot in life has never, ever improved by voting whole hog for the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party would not be in power for years. 97% of a 14 million population is a lot of votes to lose.
But if you think that there is enough blacks in the country to be able to sustain the political power on their own you are more deluded than you think. 97% of a 14 million population is a lot of votes, but not a lot political power.
And just to further expand on the point of “allowing it to happen”: Racism is going to happen, regardless. No one can so much allow such a thing to happen or prevent it from happening. However, you can ignore it, shun it and condemn it.
You are both correct. It is both power and self-hatred. The Dems have used blacks to gain unprecedented power in all areas of our society because blacks gave them the moral outrage against America to insist on new departments in the fed., states, universities and in private industry and new programs to help blacks.
They have been very good at fostering the dependence of blacks on them. Quite ingenious and insidiously evil. But it has worked. And if blacks are too freaking stupid to see what has become of them as a result of the white progs then they deserve to be fed the scraps they are given.
What we need to do is figure out what we are going to do going forward. Things will only get worse for white, unindoctrinated Americans. Reading MG comments it is clear that we cannot coexist going forward.
I don’t think it is liberal guilt that explains the response to urban riots of the 1960s, but rather an ancient political practice that says, co-opt dissenters, take a few into the ruling class, give them their own separate identity-related academic departments, and voila, the troublemakers will be bought off, leaving the masses in the same condition before the co-opting. That was very clear as powerful white liberals annexed Martin Luther King, Jr. to black liberation theology. I studied this and wrote about it here: http://clarespark.com/2009/10/31/the-offing-of-martin-luther-king-jr-and-ralph-bunche/. It was a stunning and successful tactic (from the p.o.v. of white Democrats).
What, exactly, is wrong with noticing race?
Everyone is a racist- so what?
I am. I’m proud and disgusted by my own, more than any other.
Everyone is. It’s human nature. It’s why they are called ‘our own’.
We see somebody, we see them for who they are.
Every face carries 10,000 years of history.
Why should we deny them?
“The Society for the Preservation of Racism” is a classic.
Says it all. They have nothing left but a grievance racket.
Kind of like Islam, oddly enough.
Thin-skinned to the point of violence. I think that’s the goal.
It won’t go away because there are too many fully-invested professional race-baiters on the”victim” side. All of the regulars are out in force, in full Alinsky rub-salt-in-the-wound the- wound style, and obliged by the Pravda Media. Name the names. Is there any comparable list other than Duke? The Islamic believers want war. The “victim” believers want hate.
The latest “David Duke” (undercover shill) is running for office as a Republican in Idaho:
White supremacist running against incumbent Sheriff Daryl Wheeler
Democrat blogs have seized on the story as an example of… I don’t have to explain it to you.
Funny how a certain “law center” is always attached to these stories.
Said ‘law center’ rolls him out with free PR-
so may we ask who is bankrolling his ‘campaign’?
I used to think this was like an onion or a matroska doll, with those Yale cultists right at the center of things. Now it seems more like a ball of rubber bands – there’s actually no center, just a lot of competing interests who exploit fear and admittedly real tragedies in our past. Some measures against crime and racism are warranted, but not this…
Just followed your link. It takes us to MSNBC.
Look at the surrounding ‘headlines’, see the comments.
Yup, co-ordinated campaign. A plant.
Sadly, “critical race theory”(Obama/Holder strong proponents) posits that white v black racism is endemic and so inexctricably woven into the fabric of American culture, that even without individual whites being racist, ALL white America is now, and ALWAYS will be racist. This being the case, the remedy is sanctioned, institutionalized and deliberate, REVERSE discrimination. Sounds quaint but in actuality enlivens the very core of black cultural and socio-political thought currently. Just don’t call them out on it, see Soledad O’Brien’s response to Obama’s relationship with “Prof” Bell at Harvard Law. Huge, “catch 22″ that is well recognized and institutionalized(acedemics, politics and all public employment). As Mr Simon eloquently describes, manufactured racism is systemic and entrenched, individual(white v black) is diminishing, just don’t expect that reality to be openly embraced.
If the Left dropped racism, sexism, etc. they’d have nothing at all to sell you. A contented person is not interested in 19th-century Marxist “revolution”. Therefore, it goes about sowing disharmony among people–people who otherwise have it pretty good, frankly.
Gramschi was right.
It’s easier to control the population when it’s divided. Cut up the population into subgroups, set them against each other and you get to lord over them.
The casual slur re Porsches was uncalled for. That being said, the current cause celebre is nothing new. Sharpton, Jackson and the other professional race baiters have nothing else to offer. Race baiting is their avocation, and the means of economic survival. That many view them as minstrel show characters apparently eludes them. Send in the clowns? They’re already here.
We, of the Homo sapiens sapiens race, should wonder what other races are opposed to us. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_%28classification_of_humans%29
I think there is more ‘racism’ out there than Mr Simon lets on, among all groups. I think there are many whites, latinos, blacks, Asians who do not like other groups for one reason or another, almost everyone will have a view of another group. People especially white people *usually* will shut up about it in polite company or they simply have no polite company.
And to some extent I think that is the problem with America and race. Racism has become such a vilified thing that people seem to think racists have two little horns, they are diabolical creatures beyond contempt. A fireman may have saved dozens of people of all races from burning houses, but the moment there’s a tape out there in which he drops the N-word, he may as well have been setting those houses on fire.
That prevents honest discussion. It also avoids the obvious reality: what is termed ‘racism’ is simple in-group, out-group behavior. There is no pre-defined roles here. Two white kids among twenty black kids are in a precarious situation. Their strategies of adaptation or isolation will be no different than the same scenario played out in many many variations around the world, ranging from Protestants and Catholics in Ireland and West Scotland to Malays and Chinese in Malaysia, Hindus and Muslims on the Sub-Continent. The specific setups do of course matter, there’s usually hundreds of years of animosity and indeed actual rival interests involved, but at the end of the day it’s all part of the same human tendencies.
Now, negotiating in-group, out-group behavior and relations between groups in a civilized manner is indeed a sign of progress. There obviously never should be mobs lynching their way through the streets, burning homes, killing civilians. And America has come a long way from that mentality – unlike less fortunate places. But America would still be helped by acknowledging that this group differentiation exists and that it’s lived every day by many many people. If you are a Hispanic in South LA, you have an opinion of blacks, if you are a black person living just about anywhere you have an opinion of white people and so forth. I bet Obama and Holder have their fair share of “white people man” moments, I bet behind closed doors a Jon Stewart or Bill Maher has said a few things about this or that group. That doesn’t mean you can’t be best friends with or marry a person of that group, 99% of people can and will distinguish between their general view of another group and individal members of that group
Yet complete “group-blindness” is the expected state of our age, embraced by the major parties, the media, education, writers from the Left and Right. Right-wing writers will be much more optimistic about the state of it in the country than the Left. The Right thinks it has been more or less achieved, the Left thinks it hasn’t and that makes the entire country worth nothing. In both cases it’s delusional. How can something that has never been achieved anywhere by anyone be an expected state of affairs? Sure, one can maybe hope for it somewhere down the line but based on empirical evidence it appears to be a long way from man’s tendencies even in the confines of a constitutional democracy. It looks like just another liberal utopian notion, like so many we have seen. And it’s always a progression, it goes from being talked about, to being tolerated, to being accepted to being expected – at the price of complete vilification and moral annihilation if you fail to oblige. But by default this makes almost all people who have ever lived vile creatures, it in fact makes most of the world around us vile. This is the conundrum that requires leftist contortionism. You need to rationalize why such a large % of the world population, regardless of color and creed, is a lot like (and often considerably worse than) the reactionaries back home you hate, rather than following the human ideal you subscribe to and secretly see realized in yourself – and you need to do so without forming any views of those groups. Mission impossible.
Some writers on the Right have argued that the Western tradition can indeed make this dream a reality through its unique individualist approach. But though it is certainly true that the West has found ways of managing this problem which are superior to the rest of the world, it’s hardly enough of a flawless record to warrant the conclusion that millennia of human history and deep-seated human tendencies can simply be erased. Our appreciation of the individual has simply led to us having the aforementioned ability of differentiating between our views on group X and member Y of group X with whom we share a cubicle.
Now, I do believe that the black/white divide in America can be bridged with time. But not through persistent appeals to holding hands and singing Kumbayah. The simple reality is that on the business end of an Al Qaeda dagger or a Chinese missile, black and white are very much alike, very much part of the same in-group, it’s also the case that a black and a white man both speak English and may not speak much Spanish so faced with Spanish-first services in places like L.A. or Miami, they are in the same boat. Over time the divide of slavery and segregation, urban crime waves etc. might well disappear over other divides suddenly perceived to be much more poignant.
Mr. Simon is right that the Democratic Party cannot allow that to happen. The Democratic coalition is built around current in-group, out-group dynamics in the U.S. “The Rest vs. White Religious Middle-Class America” is basically the setup Democrats require. Any reconfiguration of such fault lines would endanger the Democratic Party’s very existence. As a word of warning, the issue can cut both ways though. Republicans can be said to profit from the strong in-group loyalties of white Christians as well. If you remove all the cultural group stuff from the parties, you are left with redistributionist, Keynesian Social Democrats on the one hand and free market, laissez faire Capitalists on the other. A distinction that in political practice easily gets blurred and has little ability to inspire much enthusiasm outside small sets of policy nerds.
So, it isn’t about the scientific actual race that we all share. It isn’t that we all can mutually procreate. It is about ‘groups’ or ‘Blacks’, or ‘Whites’, or ‘Latinos’ or ‘Asians’. What utter bullshit!
I beg to differ. All people are racist, defined however you want. It is simple in-group/out-group behavior.
The thing that everyone misses is that whites are the LEAST racist group out there. But let’s no fool ourselves: stereotypes exist for a reason…they’re true. No, it doesn’t mean tht every single person in that group behaves exactly the same way, but there is always some truth in it. Therein lies the real problem.
I have never been skinny, more’s the pity! If other children called me fat, it hurt my feelings, but I never denied it. However, if they called me skinny, I would have just laughed in their faces. This lack of introspection on the part of blacks IS the problem, thus it can no longer be ignored, just so they can feel better about themselves.
How long has it been since “The Bell Curve”? When have any of its proven concerns even been addressed by the Left? Never! Just call Charles Murray a racist, and ignore, ignore, ignore.
We’ve got to stop pandering to blacks. When I was a lad, black men were much better off than today, even in the South. I was surprised to find black men supervising white men in the deep south in 1970. Men who had those jobs since 1950. Noone found it strange, and they were respected, because they were MEN, not whiny leeches.
I’ll start worrying about any residual racism when they stop killing whites 12 to 1, and when all the mob violence we’ve seen lately has as many whites in camera as blacks. Fat Chance!
Nah! I am not racist in any way. Once you realize that all humans are the same race and if you start with the bullshit concept of ‘groups’ as opposed to our common race, you are simply wrong. “The Bell Curve” divided us in an artificial way! We are all common humans!
John J – The problems in the black community discussed by Herrnstein & Murray in the Bell Curve have now spread to the lower part of the white community. See Murray’s latest book: Coming Apart.
Who is black and who is white?
Ceteris Paribus – I can’t link to your comment so I’m linking to mine. The answer to the question you ask is simple: self-identification. On various surveys people are asked to put down their race, so who is black and who is white is one self-identification. For example, O is 1/6th black and half-white, but he clearly identifies with the black community, so he would list himself as, black. Some Israelis I have seen are quite dark, but they would list themselves as, white. I grant you that this is not perfect, but nothing in this world is.
Jack in Silver Spring: Self-identification is based on what (some tint of your skin?). Is it based on an ideological self-identification among ‘groups’ according to leftist radicals? How are these groups defined? Saul Alinsky provided the answer.
This is an excellent comment. The only thing I would take exception to is the identification of racism with what the poster calls “in-group, out-group behavior,” although that is indeed how racism too often is defined, especially by liberals. If “racism” meant nothing more than “in-group, out-group behavior” then being against “racism” would be like being against breathing or falling in love. Only an idiot will deny that group conflict is a permanent feature of human life, and it is pointless to be indignant about immutable facts of nature. But this is not what racism means. No immutable fact of nature can account for what reasonable people would point to as history’s starkest manifestations of racism. There is such a thing as real racism, which is to be deplored.
Interesting, not too long ago I figured out the way to identify a racist. A racist just keeps on bringing up race. When that happens, it’s usually kind of off topic, and I say something like, “Huh? I wasn’t even thinking about that.” They have racism on the brain, it is a mental disorder.
Roger is right, and it needs to be said again and again: the president has inserted himself and his reactionary opinion into the legal process.
Yep!
“A racist just keeps on bringing up race.”
Like our current president? Obama a racist? Democrats are racist? I am so shocked. Say it ain’t so…
Roger Simon – In general I do not disagree with you. Where I take issue with you is that the facts emerging seem to support Zimmerman’s story: He was being beaten to a pulp by Martin and he did what he had to do to defend himself.
I would like to note, though, how impressive PJM has been in reporting this story. Writers like Bryan Preston, Howard Nemerov, Jack Dunphy, Leon De Winter and Hans A. Spakovsky have done wonderful work on this. I also must acknowledge the many commenters who have brought information to the table that was otherwise unavailable in the LSM. You have done yourself proud compared to NRO or Commentary Contentions. As they say in the vernacular: Yasher Ko’ach.
Yes it does seem that writers working at PJM do keep to their own offices, and eat lunch by themselves.
“The truth is racists are pariahs in America”
WRONG – they are celebrated: Rev’s Jackson, Sharpton, and Wright, The NAACP, Southern Poverty Law Center, LaRaza, ACORN, Congressional Black Caucus, P. Diddy, etc. Race and ethnic hate is very much alive and well in America, Mr. Simon. And it will remain so for several decades to come.
You are correct. What he should have said is that racism towards those with generous amounts of melanin is taboo, while racism towards those of the melanin deficient persuasion is encouraged and celebrated.
I worked for The Boeing Co for many years – I’m now retired. I remember when a bunch of black technical workers began clamoring for ‘equal treatment’ at Boeing. Boeing is the most ‘equal’ company I’ve ever seen or worked for. I’ve worked at Boeing for black supervisors – worked with black people as peers – and had some working under me.
Anyway here comes Jackson cause he’s heard from somewhere that Boeing is a big evil company for mistreating ‘his’ people.
http://cjonline.com/stories/052499/new_jacksonboeing.shtml
Long story short – a big pow-wow happens – Jackson leaves town with pockets bulging from ‘contributions’ (I call it grift) money for his Rainbow Coalition. What does Boeing do? They make the payoff to some black workers and keep on doing what they’ve done for so many years – treat people the same as they’ve done for all along.
They did come up with a ‘Black Engineer of the Year’ award shortly thereafter. I got reprimanded for asking when they might institute a ‘German Engineer of the Year’ award. They sent me to a class on diversity where a dike (her words!) proceeded to give a very distorted version of ‘Whats wrong with the white man’s world’ – or something like that over 5 very boring days. It was actually called ‘Diversity Today’ or some such crappola. I think I flunked out but I’m not quite sure – and don’t really care. I did challenge her on some of her ‘facts’. As did a few others in that class of mostly white men – which made her very upset at times. I guess big girls don’t cry – she didn’t but it was close. To me it was 40 hours over 5 days that made my co-workers have to pull together and work a bit harder because of Boeing’s stupidity and my absence.
Shakedown: Exposing The Real Jesse Jackson by Ken Timmerman is an interesting read. I don’t know that Jesse ever fully recovered from Timmerman’s “exposure.”
As I posted at another article on this issue:
President Obama is an accomplished fire starter, and Eric Holder fans the flames to spread embers that start more brush fires. Their actions, combined with the terrorist threats of the Black Panthers, support the “Castle Doctrine” and Stand Your Ground” statutes without reservations.
The blazes they have lit are going to get out of control and burn a lot of innocent people.
MANUFACTURING CRISES is their only claim to fame. And Congress is playing the same game as it prohibits any progress by using it’s majority to block any moves for advancement.
How bad does it really have to get before it starts getting better?
Simon: “liberal/leftist ideology is disintegrating all around them”
Boy! Have you swallowed something whole! Get out of your neo-con echo chamber.
They’ll win big in November after this manufactured long hot summer.
Nope – it’s all falling apart. I knew it would as soon as the race baiters joined the fray before the facts came out. Now pictures and facts and witnesses and phone recordings are popping out all over the place painting a totally different picture than the one the media (and the race baiters) has been painting – especially by showing that picture of the innocent little kid that hasn’t existed for almost 10 years.
Care to make a small wager on that?
You’re really not paying attention, are you?
May we see November as a replay of this past weekend in Queensland.
The Labor party lost the state election in a rout of epic proportions. They went from having 51 of the 89 seats in the legislature to a total of 7; yes seven as in 1,2,3,4,5,6,7.
Labor loves the same policies as the Democraps here. May our optimism be true!
It was the biggest “swing” in Australian electoral history. But PM Julia Gillard says the Queensland results have no implications for the national election. Okay, Julia, keep telling yourself that even as you’re headed out the door for the last time after your party takes its expected drubbing.
This, from the Orlando Sentinel via Drudge: http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2012-03-26/news/os-trayvon-martin-zimmerman-account-20120326_1_miami-schools-punch-unarmed-black-teenager

On the last link you will see a CNN poll indicating that 73% of Americans think Zimmerman should be arrested. I would say that’s because of the shoddy, sloppy reporting by both Left and Right news sources (PJM excepted). Note, though, the wise comments of David Shane at the end of the posting. (It’s wise because I said the same thing on the Robert VerBruggen blog at NRO when this first broke several days ago.
)
Bill Ayers must have gotten at least a little nostalgic revolutionary rush out of the New Black Panther’s call for a 10,000 man lynch mob.
From Wiki:
“Tawana Brawley (born 1972) is an African-American woman from Wappingers Falls, New York. In 1987, at the age of 15, she received national media attention in the United States for accusing six white men, some of whom were police officers, of having raped her. The accusations soon earned her notoriety, which was inflamed by Brawley’s advisers (including the Reverend Al Sharpton and attorneys Alton H. Maddox and C. Vernon Mason), the statements of various public officials, and intense media attention.[1] After hearing evidence, a grand jury concluded in October 1988 that Brawley had not been the victim of a forcible sexual assault and that she herself may have created the appearance of an attack.[2] The New York prosecutor whom Brawley had accused as one of her alleged assailants successfully sued Brawley and her three advisers for defamation.[3]”
How dare the MSM give any credence to this well-known liar and racist Al Sharpton. By the way is he on paid leave from NBC to encourage acts of racist violence against Hispanics? We want to know. How about it Maddow?
Before some goodhearted person corrects me, I know that Sharpton has told his followers not to use the violence his own rhetoric suggests. I am also aware that the Punky Monks of Mayhem [that would be the New Black Panthers (same as the old black panthers)] have put a price on Zimmerman’s head in spite of Sharpton.
Why do whites never ask or answer the question of why, many blacks were so willing to accept the Tawana Brawley hoax? Here’s a hint. Look up the true history of the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, and then ask yourself if Tawana Brawley sounds so outlandish.
“Why do whites never ask or answer the question of why, many blacks were so willing to accept the Tawana Brawley hoax? Here’s a hint. Look up the true history of the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, and then ask yourself if Tawana Brawley sounds so outlandish.”
Up at the top of this thread, you said that past behavior of whites is not an excuse for black people to act in a particular way. Why, then, do you keep making excuses? Are the white folks around today supposed to feel guilty for what other white folks, who they may or may not even be related to, did 50 – 75 – 200 years ago? If “no”, then why do you bring it up? If yes, then may we please have a date after which we are not obligated to feel guilty?
Please re-read your posts. You’re giving mixed messages.
Saying I understand why blacks are distrustful of white intentions is not to say that I am supportive of that attitude. It’s not a mixed message when I point out that anyone with a knowledge of past history would be aware that these types of incidents have a special resonance to blacks as a whole. Especially when we seem to have quickly gotten away from the basic issue – dead unarmed black kid/armed “white” adult – into the side issues of the “Narrative”, the action of this or that activist or group, and crime problems among blacks in general. The attitude running through many of these comments is the idea that criminality among some blacks, means that it’s “alright” to treat ALL blacks as criminals. Further, no black is ever supposed to get angry about that treatment. Too many people here seem to believe that Martin was supposed to take being the object of someones misguided zeal as a given. He shouldn’t be resentful. He shouldn’t be angry. He shouldn’t be confrontational. His skin is black – he should accept being treated like a criminal. Too many hear start the incident at the point where Zimmerman is getting his rear end whipped, not at the point where he started following Martin in the first place.
Mike, what is it like to wake up every morning in such a racist, backwards, impolite, racist, oppressive, racist, hateful, racist, no good for nothing, racist nation? Looks like you would be better off in…Cuba.
Ha, you thought I’d say Africa didn’t you? Racist.
Answer me these questions: What have the white progs ever done for blacks, like yourself? Have they helped with the 70% of black children born out of wedlock? Have they helped with most big city inner cities? You mention the alleged federal government syphillis programs, yet today you support the same government, what’s up with that? How many died then compared to the number of blacks who have been killed in inner city gang wars? How’s that graduation rate even with the lowered requirements white progs have given blacks? And without AA would you be where you are today, wherever that may be? And if you tell us you never needed to use AA then why must blacks have such a program? Can’t they compete on their own???
“blotto

Son – and I’m not saying that because I believe you’re very bright – don’t try to put words in my mouth. I don’t believe the US is “hateful and racist” – as much as it used to be – however it still seems to have not gotten over the tin ear problem. People like you for example, who seem to believe they have the right to criticize people like me, when I point out that the US is not prefect. It isn’t, get over it. As for the suggestion that I go somewhere else, It might not be perfect but it tries. Besides I’ve fought and bled for this place in my younger days so I feel attached to it; not to mention I also feel – because of that bleeding and fighting thing – I have the right to express any goddamn opinion I please about the place. A-holes like you haven’t turned it into a police state just yet. How about you take that “love it or leave it” BS, and place it where the sun don’t shine. Oh, and have a nice day.
A poll is often the reflection of the information people are getting.
The OJ’ification of this tragedy, intentionally dividing people along racial lines is the handiwork of the left and their leftist race baiters.
The left has to invent victims of all types and stripes, then needs to keep them “victimized” in order to run a Protest Culture Society.
The PC is NOT political correctness, it is protest culture. In order to have permanent “victim” status, one must have the permanent “villain” status.
Tag. You’re it.
The invention of Racist Homophobic Mean Gun-Toting Religious Fanatic Tea Party Southern Man fits the bill. Jared Loughner was a hard story to sell, since the facts didn’t line up exactly as the narrative goes, but George was a perfect villain…almost.
If only they could erase the Latino genes, scrub all the brown out of him and make him lily white, it would be perfect.
This isn’t quite the Duke lacrosse case or Tawana Brawley…something happened here. The 6/2 inch black adolescent got shot…after beating the little pudgy guy with his fists. We don’t know how that altercation started, we do know how it ended.
With race baiters making it all about pushing this country further apart. That’s the small c communist way. Victims and villains, this time, every time, all the time. And, if it’s all based on a lie about the “good guy” and the “bad guy”…that’s just as well.
Sometime back, I was selected for jury duty in my large metropolitan area and was required to fill out some government forms supposedly designed to better serve the jury members. One form included the usual check the box as to whether I was Caucasian, African-American, native American, Hispanic, Asian American, Aleut, Pacific Islander, or Other________. I chose “Other” and filled in the blank with “American”. (I do this in protest to such schemes, because the citizens of Germany in the 1930s were required to state on similar forms the degree of their Jewish or non-Jewish ancestry several years before the concentration camps were up and running. I filled the form as I did also because none of the categories listed related to my status as a citizen and my ability to serve as a juror.)
At the first calling of the entire jury pool of a couple hundred members, my name was called out. I then had to parade before a black civil servant, who asked me no questions as she made a notation on her computer. I was then directed to return to my seat. How much would you bet that “American” was changed to “Caucasian”?
Putting “American” or “Human” as your race is an excellent way of getting out of jury duty. Did you have to serve?
Thought experiment: It’s 1918. A white teenager is killed by a black man. The Klan gets all fired up. Woodrow Wilson says words to the effect that that could have been his son.
Anything wrong with that?
Yep.

Read Wilson’s comments on the film “Birth of a Nation” which glorified the Ku Klux Klan, and the aftereffects of those words. Oh yes,in re the Federal government, and his actions upon assuming the Presidency.
Good article. Obama jumping into this as quickly as he did is another example of what he and his fellow dems really think of the country. Aside from the racist part–which opinion they may sincerely hold–they strongly believe they can cynically manipulate the country to their benefit; that independents are malleable as gold.
There may be dems in and outside of Congress hoping that after the Obama tempest blows through their party will move closer to the center. Not with the current line-up in Congress. Congressional Democrats, led by their far left cabal and Dear Leader in the WH, are on a trajectory to making their party a minority party for at least a generation. This will be a blessing for the country and, ironically, for the survival of the Democratic Party, as in it needs a lot of new blood. Republicans, led by Paul Ryan, will have the time and political power they need to defuse the debt bomb.
When I first became aware of Jeremiah Wright’s sermons, I realized that he had institutionalized the public spectacle of s-l-o-w-l-y tearing off the scab of racism on a weekly schedule. His intent was to pass on the pain of slavery to a population more than a century after the Emancipation Proclamation. By tearing off that scab, he could ensure that the wound would never heal. The sad and frustrating reality is that this generation of black Americans has become ever more obsessed by events of two hundred years ago and is commensurately ever more ignorant of their successes since then.
Want proof that our government is run by racists?

Not a peep from Obama – Holder – or any prominent Democrat – so far. I’m not holding my breath.
Will there be any backlash for the NBP Party? Probably not. I’m sure they are feeling quite free to do as they please since Holder declined to take a cinched case and tossed it in the trash. They are in Florida trooping around like cops – dressed in their ‘uniforms’ – and badmouthing law and order – and looking to have Zimmerman whacked.
The Panthers have upped the ante to $1,000,000. The reward money will come from the “black community” (they’re already getting support from “athletes and entertainers” according to Mikhail Muhammad, southern regional leader of the Panthers). Video at CNN: http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/crime/2012/03/24/sot-wesh-panther-presser-muhammad.wesh
Don’t forget class warfare, the only other thing democrats have going for them.
A former leader in the NAACP is disgusted at the current $%&^#! going on in Florida
I just read at The Smoking Gun that “The mother of Trayvon Martin has filed two applications to secure trademarks containing her late son’s name…”
The Democrats openly purchase the loyalty of minorities with taxpayer money and then push mandatory discrimination in favor of their protected groups. Unlike Repubicans, they don’t even have the decency to pretend they are governing for the common good!
I’ve watched Obama enough to detect that he really wanted to let loose with a rush to judgement (as he did in the Henry Louis Gates deal) but just managed to hold himself back and mouth some platitudes about how important it is to all Americans to get to the bottom of what really happened.
The incident happened 31 days ago, February 26, but has only burst onto the national scene in the past 10 days or so.
We cynics think of a manufactured crisis, not too different from that manufactured over the Danish cartoons.
We also wonder about the seeming nonstop killing in southside Chicago, where recently a 6 YO girl was caught in the crossfire, apparently not sufficiently noteworthy (incendiary) to draw the professional race baiters.
Exactly, transtaafl. The president tells me I should search my soul to figure out why something like this happens. My “soul” doesn’t have the answers he’s looking for but my reasoning mind says it’s inevitable that this kind of thing will happen from time to time in a multi-racial society of over 300 million “souls.” The incident itself tells us next to nothing about ourselves or our society. The aftermath, however, speaks volumes.
Isn’t it a far better idea to do some “soul-searching” about how 10 people (including a six-year old girl playing on her front porch) can die and 39 others can be wounded in a 24-hour shooting spree with barely a mention in the press and total silence from the likes of Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton and, especially, Jesse Jackson in whose backyard the carnage took place? Shouldn’t we do some “soul-searching” about why when it’s blacks killing blacks, Hispanics killing Hispanics or the two groups killing each other, the dead and wounded elicit little more than a complacent yawn. There’s something really out of kilter here.
Of course there is still institutional racism in America. The Democrats control all the institutions except the military, and they have always been the party of Racism, from the very beginning. So when they look for racism they see it in the mirror, feel guilty, and project the wickedness in their hearts onto others, rather than face the truth.
Race doesn’t exist; genetics are destroying the earlier linguistics- and appearance-based ‘scientific’ theories of race, so as that knowledge percolates through the public psyche, the Democrats begin losing their hold on identity politics. Hence the need to drum up the fake outrage of their racist wing and remind their victims of how much worse it would be if the bugbears and hobgoblins were in charge instead.
The Marxists are in a panic. Even Timid Mitt can beat Obama; the Tea Party is sending reinforcements to Congress and the Senate Democrats are toast. Race is all they have and they will take it all the way. They need to provoke a white backlash against “Pussy Ass Cracker” T shirts, etc. Axelrod is the shot caller. Jesse Jackson and crew already have their scripts. Black youth will have to be enraged enough to burn some American cities. When non-black residents defend themselves, the attackers will become victims and cause for more riots. At some point Dear Leader will have to cancel elections and arrest the opposition. The media will lament that he had no choice.
Obama’s racist focus is typified in this video appeal he made:
http://hallofrecord.blogspot.com/2012/03/romney-specifically-seeks-white-and.html
Due apologies for cross posting this from Wretchard’s PJM blog, but it’s way more on-topic here than it was over there:

Wretchard may have made the right call on universally banning from BC Whiskey’s predictably outrageous (maybe to the squishier amongst us) postings, although he handled it with characteristic honor and integrity by keeping Whiskey up there in the BC blogroll…”
On the question of what do we know and what will be forever a mystery, one thing is certain: no one ever taught Mr. Martin not to start a fist fight with a man who has a gun. And while I’m talking about common sense, who calls their girlfriend – or stays on the phone with her – when he’s in a confrontation with another man who has a gun? I can understand, maybe, a young black man not calling the police – not really, unless he’s looking for a house to burglerize, but give him the benefit of the doubt – but why not call his father, who lives there in that subdivision and with whom Mr. Martin was staying?
One witness has already described how he saw both on the ground, with the younger man on top beating the other man. How likely is it that the man with the gun phycially attacked the man without a gun? After the police had already been called and were on their way? Mr. Zimmerman’s clothing, according to the law enforcement at their press conference right after the event, had heavy grass stains consistent with a fight on the ground with him on the bottom. Mr. Martin’s father was asked about the voice on the tape, listened to it and told the police that it wasn’t his son’s voice. All that suggests that Mr. Martin either jumped Mr. Zimmerman from behind or otherwise over-powered him onto the ground and was beating him. How much beating do you have to take in order to legally justify shooting the person who is beating you?
Interesting that you name black self-identification as the “problem” when in reality for much of their history on this side of the ocean, all blacks were required to adhere to the “one drop rule”. A rule that has been in existence for so long that the country, as a whole, has internalized it. Unless they are “passing”, anyone with any black ancestry whatsoever is labeled “black” – whether they be the complexion of a Yaphet Kotto or of a Lena Horne. They were also all pretty much subject to the same restrictions and treatment. I think that this feeling of solidarity in oppression is one of the reasons blacks as a whole, have trouble realizing how little Barack Obama, has in common with the general experience of blacks as a group. We don’t see the man with the white mother and African father, who was raised overseas or by his white grandparents, who sort of “parachuted” into the black community, when he needed to start a political career. we just see a “fellow” black man.
In other words, his perceived racial identity is the only thing you see. For virtually all of us on the right, a person’s racial or ethnic background is at best a mildly interesting part of his personal story, not the central fact of his existence. Making it the most important point about a person is the very definition of racism.

Making it the most important point about a person is the very definition of racism.”
Uh, BULLSHIT. It isn’t the definition of racism. My comment was on the reasons, black people tend to see things the way we do. And then there is the fact that white people literally beat the message of our racial identity into our heads for neigh onto three hundred years – often upon pain of death for forgetting it – but still react in surprise when we remember it. By the way, an honest reading of my comment would have shown you that I’m not in favor of that type of solidarity. Which part of “parachuted into the black Community” are you having trouble understanding?
Actually, it IS the straight-up definition of racism. It’s good that you realize that Obama isn’t an “authentic” black man, but it’s bad that you use that as some measuring stick for the worth of a person instead of his principles, values, and actions. Obama fails on all three of those, of course. But you never mention any of that; it’s all about skin to you. That’s racism, my friend.
Uh no. Racism also contains the element of innate racial superiority and policies and actions based upon that belief.
Sorry Mike, but your attitude is racist, and there’s just nothing you can say to make it otherwise.
Oh (he says slapping his forehead), now I understand. Being suspicious of whites – in general – for an incredibly long history of bad acts towards blacks is “racism”. However following a black kid around simply because of his skin color and the way he’s dress is “rational”. I apologize. I didn’t realize you were attempting to talk out of both sides of your face.
There are lots of things you don’t seem to realize, Mike, including your own quite-evident-to-others racism.
It’s easy to see the racism in this case because in any other situation a hispanic guy would be called a hispanic guy and not “white” or “white latino.”
So does the near-lynching mob mentality going on mean all those people are racist against hispanics? If I go by race-baiting standards, I guess so.
Hispanic is a language group. Mexicans of Indian ancestry, Dominicans of partially African American ancestry, and Argentinians of Italian ancestry are all Hispanics because they speak Spanish as a their “native” tongue. It is quite possible to be white and Hispanic, just as the former president of Peru showed it was possible to be of Japanese ancestry, and Hispanic.
And you do realize that your buying into the Liberal fallacy of Hispanic being a racial group. Especially given that Spanish speakers are composed of any number of actual racial groups, and their are distinct differences between the varying cultures of any given area of “Spanish” speakers. Even within Spain itself, there are differences between the Catalans of the Northeast, the Andalusians of the South, and the Castillians of the middle.
If the media had published pictures of the 17-year old “gangsta” with a mouth full of gold teeth instead of the 14-year old baby face in his Hollister tee shirt, Wolverines jersey or white hoodie, would the president still have said “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”? Highly doubtful.
Jesse says “targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing [them]” is “big business.” No, Jesse, as you personally can attest to, it’s the constant agitation by race-baiting hate-mongers like yourself that’s big business. I’ll bet Jesse and Al had a few anxious moments when Obama was elected fearing that perhaps we really were entering a post-racial era. Fortunately for them, liberals and Democrats always revert to type.
If the media had published pictures of the 17-year old “gangsta” with a mouth full of gold teeth instead of the 14-year old baby face…
No. As Harry Reid and Joe Biden might both attest (based on their own public comments about Obama), it is only clean and articulate black guys that capture the imagination.
I’ll bet Jesse and Al had a few anxious moments when Obama was elected…
Recall that just prior to Obama’s selection when Jesse was caught on a “hot mic” saying he wanted to cut Obama’s nuts off.
Obama, as a very light skinned blend of races has to show he is more black than a black man – so he ticks AA on the box and married a black lady. Sels himself as a blackman, Manyof us did not forget Jesse jackson even called him out on this – He knew Obama did not suffer any of the stingof being black in USA- he grew up in Asia and Hawaii where everyone is light brown (yellow)
Some of the most disgusting racism I ever heard came from dark skinned blacks to lighter ones- a quick view of comments between blacks on any youtube concerneing levels of color is a real eye-opener- yellows vs reds vs darks—in his book Obama himself describes his fear of BLACK MEN following him, not whiteys out to lynch him. His comment re: Trayvon could be my son- how revealing- one more attempt by O to prove he is blacker. Jeremiah White another high yellow man- almost whiter than many white men, is another one with same need to prove his bonafides- I have seen similar behavior from Muslim converts- they are the ones with the need to prove their loyalty the most – the ones who need a show of ” I am doing more Islam than you”.
That Obama would ude this boy’s death to start a race war in USA in right in line with the communist plots to make race wars in USA c 1960′s. The Panthers still stuck in that past while the rest of us have moved on-
These so called Progressives are anythign but- they are willing throwbacks to a past we are done with and well rid of —only perverse opportunists would USE this to get elected
Mad as Hell in Florida;
In one of the episodes of the old TV show “Frank’s Place” and in Spike Lee’s movie “School Daze”; they point out the persistence of color differences and hostility based on color, within the black Community as a whole
Martial Law is on it’s way, folks.
Obama, Jackson, Sharpton, and Farrakhan have been trumpeting from the highest points on land to get their servile faithful fired up for more riots, thereby necessitating the imposition of Martial Law. And with all the publicity they know they are getting, NOT ONE CALL, FROM ANY OF THEM, FOR THE BLACK PANTHERS TO RETRACT ANY OF THEIR TERRORIST THREATS. It looks like they really want a civil war.
They intend to do things their way, or else.
I’ve said this for years; This is how they operate. They really think we are fools.
If you will recall:
Democrats were the slaveholders.
Democrats started the Civil War.
Democrats founded the KKK.
Democrats enacted the Jim Crow legislation.
Democrats hung blacks in the South.
A Democrat put the Japanese in concentration camps during WWII.
Democrats stood in doorways to keep out black students.
Democrats opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Democrats keep blacks on the plantation by convincing them that they are helpless.
I could go on…
Dianna
Interesting – the idea that whites were “decorating trees with blacks.” From my reading, while there were many lynchings of blacks, there were also many, many, many lynchings of whites. At one point, in Mississippi and Louisiana, you were in grave danger of lynching if you were an Italian immigrant!
Yeah okay:
“From 1882-1968, 4,743 lynchings occurred in the United States. Of these people that were lynched 3,446 were black. The blacks lynched accounted for 72.7% of the people lynched. These numbers seem large, but it is known that not all of the lynchings were ever recorded. Out of the 4,743 people lynched only 1,297 white people were lynched. That is only 27.3%. Many of the whites lynched were lynched for helping the black or being anti lynching and even for domestic crimes.
http://www.chesnuttarchive.org/classroom/lynchingstat.html
If race is basically self-identification, can someone who is ‘white’ or ‘Asian’ declare themselves as ‘black’ for purposes of benefiting from Affirmative Action? Is there is no danger of committing fraud or perjury in so doing?
Well, it looks like the Democrats have us talking about anything but the record of Obama as our President. Good job Democrat posters. You won this one. Next damned subject, please Mr Simon?
Yeah, let’s get back to talking about how “inevitable” the “severe conservative” Romney is. . . that is how you get paid isn’t it?
Great article, thank you! And this may also explain the dead silence from La Raza, who has said and done nothing to defend a fellow Hispanic from all of this without sufficient evidence for genuine criminal prosecution. I think Obama and La Raza either realize implicitly or have come to an agreement that “racism” is good business for both, so let it roll. (Or maybe it is Florida, so who cares, La Raza being focused on the Southwest, same understanding, same result.)
Better chance of being killed by a Porche than a racist? Man, I say you are a PORSCHIST!
Excellent observation, one I have been making — to deaf ears — for four or so years. But to the Left that is undeniable evidence of racism. There you have it. When the rest of America believes that (and something like 77% believe Zimmerman is the guilty party) it underlines the power of the Left’s propaganda machine.
It is effective.
It might take another generation for the media to become balanced, but by then — if it could even happen — it will be too late, the America we know will be gone.
The Left is killing America for its own power.
USA RIP.
I wrote a novel, unpublished, wherein the new president of the United States announced in a speech that there was no such thing as race in the United States. And that the federal government would cease counting, tabulating and classifying American citizens by race, color, etc.
He then spouted every racial epithet of which he could think and said he should not be muzzled for saying — freedom of speech and all — but should simply be looked down upon and isolated for doing so. That only moral action with shame and isolation could diminish racism and that lookind down upon some other people for whatever reason is a integral part of being human. But that acting on the thoughts — breaking specific laws that apply equally to all — could bring legal action.
That would stop all this racial BS in my opinion.
Quite a few years back I took a course in formal logic. Rather than bore you with the details let me paraphrase a quick and dirty rule of thumb that the instructor gave us. If you can reverse the roles of the actor involved and the argument still works than it probably is valid, although should still work it out. If in that case the argument does not work unless you want to discover where it went wrong, don’t bother, it’s flawed. I do not think that anyone could say with a strait face that a White reaction to an older Afro-American killing an attacking White youth generating similar outrage to what the Afro-American community is showing would be acceptable. There would be cries of Racism and that the days of Jim Crow and lynch law are returning.
You should check the Daniel Ciciaro shooting, on Long Island,NY, by John White

A few simple truths:
A few simple truths: (sorry about above misstype)–
1 Racism is a basic fact of human life. Not anti-black racism. Just racism and nationalism, period. I once saw a comedian in Denmark who told–in Danish, German, Swedish, Dutch, and English rapid-fire line-by-line what turned out to be…FINN Jokes! Who knew there were such things? But there were and are. As a Jew I’ve certainly experienced my share of prejudice, as a descendent of Polish Jews my share of Polak jokes, and as a descendent of Polish Jews who both were slaughtered in and (fewer) survived the Holocaust, know a little about prejudice. It exists, get used to it, fight it where you can…but most of all, do not DARE pretend that your particular gored racial ox is special, unique, or deserving of special attention. It isn’t.
2. Racism is a business. Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan, et. al. are IN the racism business. It is what they do. Does ANYone think that if they were commentators on, for examples, art or business or science or even politics in the absence of race they’d have jobs, incomes, or fame? Nope. This is what they do for a living. They are not just “race hustlers” or players of the “race card”…they are racism entrepreneurs! It is a glorious fact that people can be entrepreneurial in America like nowhere else on earth, but it is a sad but true fact that this field, no less than any other, is full of entrepreneurial potential and some people figure that out and go for it. Every time you listen to their words, watch their appearances, or pay attention to their “professional” opinions, you are supporting their gig. Even if you don’t think you pay a dime to them, you are part of their ratings, their currency, and their game plan. So don’t. Just don’t. Or else expect those who understand this to be a little cynical about you or think you’re a little dim not to get it.
3. The statue of Justice is blind. The point of America is to make the real thing just as blind. We’re failing at that. We need to fix that. And we need to do it not for the sake of any particular race, religion, or group. We need to do it for the safety, security, peace of mind, and self-respect of every citizen and everyone who dreams of becoming one. We’re failing at this and it is getting worse all the time. Let’s work on that. Harder. Please? Thanks.
Uhmmm…
It’s a different world now, with many CCW permits and open carry laws relaxed any thug or hood looking for an unarmed and helpless victim to bully, beat, rape or rob will run into someone armed and willing to fight back.
The news hasn’t caught up with the perps apparently their reading suffered during school or they just too dumb to pay attention. Your former ways of going out to rob will now find you in the same boat trevonious (used to avoid copyright of Martin’s name) found.
It’s a different world now Hood, it would be best if that’s realized before you go to beat somebody up for any reason otherwise ya might get more than you bargained for.
Neighborhood watches don’t patrol unarmed anymore the reason is checking out a suspicious person could lead the watch into a violent confrontation with death just around the corner all for trying to protect the law abiding folks who live around you.
Stand your ground made things a bit more deadly for the thugs.
I’m not saying there’s not a racist bone in America’s body. I’m just saying, in Obama’s body they all are.
I have a dream.
On one of their propaganda shows, I’d love to say what I said in the headline to Eddie Schultz, or Larry O’Donnell or Marty Bashir because I know what their next words would be; the same words all the progressives run with whenever they’re confronted with such an outlandish truism.
“What’s your evidence, Rachel? How can you say that with a straight face? Where’s your proof.”
At that point, the trap would be sprung.
No leftist is ready to address a discussion of proof or, for that matter, truth because it’s not in the realm of their thinking, not to mention the fact that, to my knowledge, the nature of truth and evidence has never been posed or exposed.
Leave it to brassy, ballsy Rachel to upset the leftist rotten apple cart.
Incidentally, remember a few years ago when a White Sox announcer at a ball game asked the anointed on for proof he was really a White Sox fan?
“Who in the old Comisky Park, might we ask”, said the announcer, “was your favorite player.”
I can’t remember what Mr. Teleprompter Man said. It could have very well been, “what’s your evidence I had a favorite player?” The Prez said the White Sox were his favorite team yet he couldn’t think of Fox,or Aparicio, or Landis, or Billy Piece, or Minoso? Give me a brake.
Of course, the White Sox gaffe doesn’t say Obama’s a racist. Just an accumulator of Frequent Liar Miles.
But back to my allegation that Barack is the most racist President in American history. Which leads me to another wonderful Obama irony. The brown eyed handsome man was elected at a point in American history when the vast majority of Americans were even ready to get rid of the poison of whispered racism.
When Obama would pontificate during his campaign for president in 2007, one of his favorite lies was something to the effect that, “TO ME, BARACK OBAMA I SEE NO RED STATES OR BLUE STATES BUT JUST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICAN. I CAN PICTURE BO getting back to his hotel with a small coterie of hucksters laughing it up, talking about the nonsense filling the speech he just made. None of which they
believed. All of which they believed gullible white America would swallow whole.
“Obama, sorry buddy, but the United States of America has had a taste of you and we’re ready to spit you out.” But Eddie and Larry and Bashir don’t hear Rachel’s Obama racist detection alarm; they know only one tune.
“Evidence”, “Where’s your evidence, Rachel?”
“Well, I do declare,” says Ms. Peepers, “Do the thugs at MSNBC know what evidence is? I don’t think so.
See, evidence comes in many forms, and means different things depending on its place and legal purpose.” (Albany Law School, 1970)
It’s what’s presented at a trial when, for instance, we’re in the process of proving Eric Holder was lying through his pearly whites when he denied knowledge of Operation Fast and Furious.(If we could get him to trail before Obama pardons him), we could present what’s called direct evidence.
Incidentally, Fast and furious is the speed at which the White House makes up lies to defend themselves against direct evidence, saying how they see, hear and speak no evil.
Or by evidence are the leftists neo-coms (neo communists) referring to evidence necessary to make a prima facie case; to establish probable cause that Obama and Co. are card carrying racists? They never tell us. And we want to know precisely what they’re thinking.
Permit me now to offer some examples just to remind everybody that the racism I’m talking about is the kind that fills each of Obama’s 206 bones to the marrow.
Feb. 18, 2009, Holder announces in first major speech that “all white men are racist cowards”. White men in huge numbers had just helped elect a black man for the first time as President, and Holder spews racism?
That’s exactly what he did, including all military men at war, putting their lives on the line, fighting for his right to call the entire U.S. male population racist.
Of course, Obama got into his racist demonstrations even earlier than that.
On inauguration day, the anointed one specified he wanted no white bands marching past the reviewing stand. “Now, Rachel”, I can hear somebody say, “how to you know he said that?” Well, if you watched TV that day, you saw all black bands. A coincidence?
And, by the way, did you see and hear the young African American men in the first few public audience rows boo Bush when he walked out?
Did you know Obama staff (labor union thugs) paid them to do that? Again, that smacks to lil ol’ Rachel of blatant racism.
Since then, Obama’s poured forth with racist comment after racist comment.
Remember, “Let my people go”, Obama referring to the Black Panther voter intimidators, who the justice department had dead to rights. Holder and Obama didn’t want to ruffle any black feathers so they let the black goons with billyclubs go scot free. Christian Adams, a justice dept. lawyer, as you know, blew the racist whistle about this and quit his job. Obama and Holder told the other white lawyers on the case they’d be fired if they didn’t toe the line; in other words, clam up like lying turds.
And when the Black Panthers in Florida in the Trevon Martin case issue a bounty for Zimmerman dead or alive, did Holder arrest the criminal Panthers who issued the bounty? No. Talk about blatant racism.
I don’t want to take up all you time. So I’ll just make a couple more racist points.
Imagine if Ron Paul announced a national campaign called ‘Whites for Ron Paul’ — he’d be vilified as a racist. And yet Barack Obama has done the equivalent of precisely that with his launch of ‘African Americans for Obama’.
Not only is Obama playing the race card in an attempt to pressure black Americans into voting for him, he is also violating the separation between church and state. In the video promo for the campaign, Obama urges black people to pressure churches into supporting his administration by getting his message out via “the faith community”. He also calls on voters to become “congregation captains”….
“I thought race didn’t matter Mr. President?” asks Chad Hasty. “I don’t think MLK would be too pleased with you at all, telling blacks to vote based solely on skin color. African-Americans for Obama? Give me a break. Under this Presidency, more blacks are unemployed. More blacks are on food stamps. If I had to bet, though, Obama will still pull 93% of the black vote. Again, just a wild guess.” …(Cameron Wiltshire, Feb.24,2012,Blog,“Disinformation”)
Back to Rachel.
Obama racist. Take Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome for evidence. Slaughtered by black savages. Did Obama call their families? Did he empathize with Channon’s parents because Obama has daughters too? No. You see, Obama has black daughters and Channon, brutalized beyond description and white. So her parents didn’t get a jingle.
Imagine, all the non-phone calls to all the whites slaughtered by blacks. And Obama’s racist example has even seeped into NFL sports.
Who’d a thunk it? The most blatantly racist President of the United States and the most blatantly racist NFL coach are unified at the brown lip, (Lovie Smith, “vote for Obama, he’s black, not for Romney, he’s white”).
But that’s not all they have in common.
Both of these racists come from the same city, Chicago. The city with broad shoulders has Obama’s back. The city that makes a science out of political corruption, also makes racism an art form.
Rachel’s conclusion: I was brokenhearted when Alan West not only didn’t run but didn’t even answer my letters. But I still think he’d make a great President. I’m white with blue eyes; he’s black with brown. But I like the content of his character.
I would never vote for Obama. Not just because he doesn’t like me because I’m white, but because his character has no content. He’s just another bum from the neighborhood.
Obama’s premature comment reflects his deeply held belief, which is shared by many African Americans, that things like the high rates of black incarceration and inner city poverty are the result of persistent overt American racism. As Roger acknowledges, racism does exist but it is nor pervasive. Institutional racism is non existent in academia, government, business, media, entertainment and sports.
In my experience the anti black feelings exist among lower class whites, not based on a belief in racial inferiority but rather based on resentment of the preferential treatment they perceive blacks receive.
We need more black leaders to move us to the post racial America people of good will hope for.
Have you ever noticed how many blacks work in the Dept. of Corrections? They not only shoot each other more frequently, they all make a good living within the incarceration process.
BRILLIANT!!!
Actually the Corrections Officers tend to reflect the population of the area where the prison/jail is located. Therefore you tend to see minority Corrections officers in urban areas where there are large minority populations. On the other hand, large state prisons – that tend to be located in isolated rural areas – have Corrections Officers from the surrounding rural areas, and often are white.
In the 2008 election, blacks voted about 95% for Obama while the national average for all voters was closer to 50%. That, to me, indicates that about half of all black voters are (or were) racists.
And you got these figures from where exactly? No, let me guess, the media took the voting pattern from some urban area and extrapolated that the entire black population – since it’s well known that we all think, talk, dress, vote, etc. alike, you believed them. But you know, I live out here in the suburbs – where incidentally the majority of the black population resides (suburbs, exurbs, rural) so it makes “sense” to assume I’m just like some guy standing on a ghetto street corner, downing a forty. I mean our skin color is approximately the same.
It is becoming okay not to like the president.
Rendering the Prez as a person whom it’s okay to diss will take a lot. Wiseacres can make cracks about $5 trillion for nothing, regulation blizzards, reluctant oil & gas, or even homosexual marriage, but he’s still a black American. And that’s huge.
Ok, he’s not black; he’s a mulatto. And, you’re rat on, he’s not really an American, either. Looking at the birth certificate he submitted is like reading a factual account in Oklahoma City when the Murrah went down in ’95. Bubbleheaded fictive bubbles can be so convincing, can seem so real, especially if you’re afactual, and most have become that.
But he’s a soul bro, and therefore unassailable. Ready the column today on how bad it’s gotten around race, which is more of a cudgel than anything nowadays, here in “post-racial” America. He was elected cuz he’s black. I know some smart black guys who admit to being ashamed by him. They’re the ones who bring up his mother and Kenya.
