Old media rules at the World Economic Forum, according to Fortune:
Justin Fox reports: For members of the Old Media, Davos remains stuck in a blissful time warp where they still matter and there’s no Matt Drudge or Instapundit or Daily Kos around to cause trouble. Genius that he is, World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab long ago swept the people who run the world’s newspapers, magazines and TV networks into a tight embrace, and he’s not letting go, at least not yet.
Not to put too fine a point on it — who cares? [You do. There's good skiing.-ed. Oh, yeah, I forgot about that.]

Now might be a good time to settle back and revisit the Iowahawk classic What Happens In Davos, Stays In Davos.
Will John Kerry stay in Davos, then?
No, he has to lead the filibuster against Alito.
Apparently he can phone it in.
But (gasp, sputter) Jay Nordlinger of NRO is in Davos. Latest article here.
I?ve never been to Davos but I did visit St. Moritz recently and if Davos is anything like St. Moritz, I don?t want to even think of going there. The country is exquisite, clean as a new button, the cars are fancy BMWs and Benzs, all like a Disney set. But, but … the Swiss are arrogant, self satisfied, unfriendly anti Semitic with a horrid history before, during and after the war. They refused Jews refuge as the Germans hunted them, they stole their bank accounts, never paid on their life insurance policies and then after the war demanded death certificates before payments. Ugly, very ugly. So as our world leaders ? don?t you just giggle at that phrase ?world leaders? – wheel around Davos, pontificating on this and that, they should ask themselves where all the money for those fancy cars came from.
Jay’s not Glen, but his reporting has a comfortable (bloggers) tone and style.
Sorry ’bout that. Lost a tag somewhere:
Jay Nordlinger is not Glen, but his reporting has a comfortable (blogger’s) tone and style.
I am constantly amazed at Kerry’s tin ear, calling for filibuster from Davos. The only thing worse would be if Teddy responded from a bridge in Cape Cod.
