Updated: Morgan’s producers attempt to trick Ben Shapiro by setting an ambush:
But when it came time to book the show, Morgan’s team refused to tell Shapiro what the format of the show would be. When Shapiro said that he expected balance — a second one-on-one interview with Morgan — Morgan’s producers balked. They did insist strongly, however, that Shapiro appear on the show, where he would be “in for the entire show” and “have a huge part.” When Shapiro again reiterated that balance would be a one-on-one, and asked for more details on what his role would be, Morgan’s producers went silent.
“This is how the left manipulates media situations to ambush conservatives,” Shapiro said. “Piers and I had a good conversation last week about gun control; if he wants a rematch, I’m always game.”

This is how you deal with intolerant, cowardly, bullying progs. Glad to see that Ben Shapiro saw through the scam that Piers was setting up.
And a great question: Was CNN going to have anyone who used a gun to save themselves from a crime on the show? The parents of Sandy Hook victims should be demanding that their government do a better job of protecting the kids at schools seeing as how that same government deigned itself as the sole provider of education to children and use themselves as a foil to disarm other Americans who had nothing to do with their kids being killed.
GMTA…on another forum I suggested that Shapiro insist on having some people in the audience whose lives had been saved by armed citizens.
When you come right down to it, there is only one way to eliminate public school violence entirely. It’s safe, it works, and it results in well-educated kids. Give it a try!

Piers has to come here, where he’s not a citizen, and complain about and work against the citizens’ right to have guns… then made ad hominem attacks on Shapiro for being able to argue his point better.

Perhaps a boxing match between Ben and Piers is more appropriate. Not sure if either one has the character to do that, but I suspect the ratings would be tremendous. Have Alex Jones cornering Ben too.
His armed body guard would likely shoot you. Its what he’s paid to do. Just like the armed guards we should have in place in schools around the US. You know – just like Feckless Won’s children have to protect them. It made me wonder for a while why they oppose armed guards in schools – then I realized – its to protect the New World Order next generation of leaders. No reason to protect kids of the commoners – the hoi polloi are expendable.

There is only one way to STEM THE RISE of the growing bolder progressive agenda and that is to STOP being an audience to these information manipulators. This includes CNN, NBC, ABC , CBS, BBC and the very subtle but effective PBS. There are too many other legitimate information outlets to get our news than to feed these destructive beasts!
Sadly, you can now add Fox News to the group. Hate to say that after 10+ years of watching that channel – but they know which side of their corporate bread is buttered, so to speak.
The simple act of no longer watching the alphabet networks will not work. There are just too many low-information people in the U.S. that will continue to watch.
I have been preaching for years the way to put an end to it is through good old fashioned capitalism. Go after the advertisers. If the advertisers understand that by supporting people like Piers Morgan with their advertising dollars it will cost them more in the long run, they’ll pull those dollars to be place in more lucrative venues. It’s called “bang (can I use that word now in our p.c. world?) for the buck.”
You see, a program like Morgan’s is kept alive via advertising dollars and if those advertising dollars are creating a negative value for the companies, bye, bye Piers Morgan.
But you have to be aware of who is doing the advertising. Sometimes it is a local company (due to the local affiliate that is running the program) so you call them, tell them that as long as they advertise on an anti-American Brit hack’s program, they have lost your business. Yeah, it’s pure Alinsky, but so what? What’s sauce for the goose can be sauce for the gander.
Shaprio should accept the town hall- but only if he controls the venue and who gets in. The NRA HQ is a good place to do it.
Speaking of growing a pair, any bets on whether Piers would debate Ben before an audience of NRA members? How about before an audience made up of people who successfully defended themselves and their families with firearms?
People like pharmacist Bryan Lee of Medera, Caifornia:
“An attempt to rob a Madera pharmacy of cough medicine Tuesday night ignited a short but deadly gunfight between a gang member and a store owner who is a competitive pistol shooter.
Police Chief Steve Frazier said Thursday that it appeared the store owner, Bryan Lee, had little choice but to return fire when Aquilla Bailey, 31, burst into the Almond Avenue Pharmacy firing a .45 caliber Smith & Wesson pistol at Lee and his mother, Sophie. Lee, an Army veteran, returned fire with a 1911-model Colt .45.
Frazier said Bailey shot six or seven times, with one round hitting Sophie Lee in the leg. Lee fired five back, mortally wounding Bailey and also apparently shooting Bailey’s fellow Dogpound gang member Jonte Harris, 27, twice in the leg.
Lee’s actions won praise from a number of writers on local news blogs, but the soft-spoken pharmacist, who quickly returned to work, didn’t appear to take to heart comments that he was a hero.
“We just did what we had to do to survive,” [Lee] said. “They were going to murder us….”

I’d also try to wrangle a few of those Korean business owners who had to defend their property from “yoots” during the ’92 LA riots using assault rifles.
And then, the kicker: plainitively ask Piers the pearl-clutcher why he hates asian people.
The left knows their base is comprised of millions who react emotionally and are easily manipulated. That’s all the “debate” would be, a side show to rally their base and swing a few more of the malleable middle to their side.

Without supporting media and educational systems outside the leftist establishement, and shunning the ones inside it, we won’t get very far.
If Morgan were to bring on an SH victim parent, then Ben should be permitted to bring along Suzanna Hupp, who was at the Luby’s massacre and is a staunch gun rights proponent.
Piers was clearly outmatched by Ben in the last dust up. And adolescent challanges are as pathetic as they are transparent. He is clearly trying to use playgroung bully tactics to entice Ben into round two, but by not allowing Ben any information about format or his role in the show, he is giving himself away. Clearly he intends to ambush Ben and Ben is having none of it. If you want to talk about “growing a pair” Piers, why don’t you take your own advice and meet Ben face to face with no human props to stack the deck? You’re nothing but a sniveling little coward. Grow a pair indeed!

Not ironic at all, is it, that the guy who exposes leftist bullying in his latest book was being set up to be ambushed by leftist media (who is now *trying*) to bully him for his decision. Piers deliberately left out Ben’s segment when he did a recap of all the gun-related shows he did last week. He knows he looked bad and Ben wiped the floor with him. He knew he couldn’t stand his own with Ben again, so he set up a no-win situation for the guy. I’m really glad Ben isn’t doing it; NOW who will Piers have on his show tonight?
CNN should start to worry about its waning reputation right about now…
The more I hear of Piers Morgan, the more I see the rightness of Jeremy Clarkson’s response to him.
This is going to get a lot worse in the next few weeks than somebody saying “Grow a pair.” Somebody is going to get hurt because of Obama’s and Biden’s stupidity. What if they start handing down some Executive Orders and people start to ignore them? Are you really going to throw law-abiding citizens in jail because they choose to exercise their Second Amendment rights? And what if these people start to resist? We all know legal challenges to an Executive Order can take years to resolve, especially if they go all the way to the Supreme Court. During that time, what if some people start to get hurt, either by resisting an illegal law or by an unarmed person getting killed by an armed criminal and died because he or she was not allowed to have a gun? Try telling the relatives of a woman killed by a rapist or or a mother killed by a home invader that they would not have been better off had they been armed.
Liberals are always great at self-righteous indignation. But they get terribly quiet when the unintended consequences of their actions end up getting innocent people killed.
I think we should all be asking Piers Morgan why he doesn’t “grow a pair”. Why doesn’t he want another one-on-one debate with Shapiro?
Maybe Piers would be willing to participate in a town hall format video podcast hosted by Ben Shapiro and a roomful full of citizens who defended themselves and their families with guns?
I dont know, I imagine if Ben spoke to the gun victims and said: “Dont you wish someone with a concealed carry permit was there and stopped this before it turned into a massacre as happened in Oregon mall (and other cases) it would be hard to refute.
Then follow up with “we dont blame the car for those hit by a drunk driver. Blame the one responsible for the tragedy not the tool they used. Guy in China killed or wounded twenty people tge same week with s knife.”
My first thought upon hearing this horrific report was, I wonder how many would have been saved had the teacher been carrying a concealed weapon? Of course, I live in Texas where there still remains a modicum of sanity in the state government towards the citizenry. I still can’t imagine what was going through the minds of those little angels as they were forced to endure hearing their friends executed, knowing their time was coming. And I would be suing the crap out of the state for dereliction of duty in providing a safe, secured environment for my child to attend public school.
We all know that Peers would wet himself at the mere thought of having to go one to one with anyone without the benefit of a stacked deck.
Ben doesn’t need to grow a pair, you need to get them out of your mouth you sniveling, pathetic coward.
Sounds like Morgan wants revenge for being savaged by Shapiro in their first go-round. Morgan didn’t come off too well in that one. I’d suggest single shot pistols at 20 paces if Morgan wants his revenge. Ratings would go through the roof. But Morgan would probably be at a distinct disadvantage since he’s probably never fired a gun before. Just holding one would probably cause him to wet his pants.
Watching that video again reminds me of the condescending attitude from the elites and how it affects me. I get a bit agitated – condescension can have that effect on me, as it does on most independent thinkers.
One note to Shapiro – quit falling into that trap of calling a semi-auto ‘AR15′ an assault rifle. It is nothing of the sort and is an ‘AR15′ in name only since a 5 second trigger pull gives you one shot only. The real thing will empty a 30 shot magazine in half that time. I suppose by the measure these elites measure a rifle as an assault rifle my little plinker Marlin Model 60 rimfire is one too? It has a 15 shot capacity if you load one in the chamber before loading the magazine.
Yeah, I get agitated ,too. On a recent trip to Britain, my lovely wife and I were trapped at a dinner and had to listen to a couple of snagglepuss Brits telling us about the things they don’t like about the US.
After their punk-ass critique of American culture, they asked if there was anything about Britain we didn’t like.
My most charitable answer, “your teeth.”
Next time, don’t sit there and listen, interrupt and sat that you don’t like listening to people criticising your country and that you think it is impolite of them to do so.

The families of the victim’s are thanking Piers Morgan and agreeing with his points which are,ban on assault rifles,background checks,federal money towards mental health issues.

Not long ago, Piersy Baby was rapturously praising a garish song-and-dance number on “Britain’s Got Talent” that was all about decrying the terrible explosion of knife crime in Britain. Piersy Baby was all dewy-eyed about those idealistic youngsters calling attention to the horrendous epidemic of violent knife crime.
Now, Piersy Baby wants us to believe that the gun ban has turned jolly old Britain into a haven of peacefulness.
Has Piersy Baby said anything about the epidemic of gang-rape against native British women and girls in his home country?
Piers also ignores that homicides, overall, are up 50% in the UK since the advent of gun control. Sure, only 35 people were killed with guns, but 600 and some were murdered by all means. From 1946-1968 (post-war to the 1968 laws), each year 300-400 were murdered by all means. This was a rate under 0.75 per 100,000. Since then, the number and rate rose consistently, despite their increasingly restrictive gun control until over 1000 were murdered in one year at the beginning of this century. The rate was over 1.5 per 100,000 at that time. While rates have declined in recent years, it’s still a rate over 1.12, which is 50% higher than the bucolic post-war decades.
So, even if you look only at murder rates, the UK is a far more dangerous place with gun control than it was without. The fact they’ve turned to knives and other weapons doesn’t make them any less dead.
Why, oh why, does Piers want to see more Americans dead?

If Piers Morgan is sincerely interested in a rational discourse on how best to reconcile the need to reduce gun violence with the preservation of second amendment rights, then why does he invite on his program a raving paranoiac like Alex Jones and a transparent propagandist like Ben Shapiro? If he truly wants an edifying discussion of this problem, why doesn’t he bring on someone from, say, the Cato Institute?
I seriously doubt that Morgan in any way wants a reasonable or constructive debate. About anything. He’s a showman. He wants a circus, which is why he parades freaks like Jones and Shaprio in front of his cameras. These guys are not serious interlocutors. Watching them and Morgan shout and platitudinize past one another is like observing a colloquy between a couple of chimpanzees– mere noise.
