I was wondering what Mark Hamill has been doing since The Star Wars Holiday Special. Mushrooms, apparently.
Decades of acting as The Joker have taken their toll.
I was just about to make a similar crack..
Mark Hamill endorses the ‘Killing Joke’
Oh dear, another actor I once liked opens his mouth and turns out to be an… Okay, fill that part yourselves, I think I try to stay ladylike. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but sometimes knowing too much of an actor/director etc can interfere, badly, with one’s ability to enjoy their work. It would be nicer if they would just stick to telling good stories. And some of even the most leftist can do that, at least part of the time and when they concentrate on the storytelling part instead of trying to make some statement.
On the other hand, I do have to admit that when the statements happen to be something I agree with I tend to find them quite enjoyable.
Maybe the only solution is to stop looking at these ‘actor’s opinion of something real’ stories, I would still prefer to be able to enjoy at least the occasional movie.
I think one can overlook an actor’s political and social views up to a certain point, and simply shrug and hold the position that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Otherwise most of us would never watch another Hollywood production.
On the other hand, I also think there is a limit as to how far an actor can go in exercising their own free speech before they experience a backlash due to their views.
I personally will never watch Rosie O’Donnnel in ANYTHING, but would still watch any number of other actors who may hold similar positions – and perhaps even voice those opinions occasionally when asked – but were either more respectful of opposing views or weren’t prattling on about their pet political subject every time they opened their mouth.
Never trust a Jedi Knight who sniffs after his own sister
In the end Luke Skywalker couldn’t resist the dark side.
The “Farce” hasn’t been on Mark’s side since his blockbuster “Corvette Summer”.
Yeah, I remember that movie.
Try as I might to forget it and use those brain cells for something else…….
The Farce is strong in this one…
Hehe…gonna have fun with this.
LUKE! He is NOT your father!
Inasmuch as Obi-Wan’s final scene was standing there unarmed and getting cut in half, it seems to be an accurate take on the debate.
So all this time Mark was not ‘doing anything much’ he was leading up to THIS ?
He’s on CURRENT, boys and girls. That Thing that literally no one watches for love, money or intelligence.
…that hired Jenny Granholm as a Figure of Some Renown to give them a polish, and couth, of a sort. Michiganians know her and her flaccidity, all too well.
That’s not a lineup, it’s a farce.
So probably 247 people plus or minus heard Mark and gurgled approvingly at his Message.
So EFFing what……..
“If you saw two guys named Hambone and Flippy, which one would you think liked dolphins most? I’d say Flippy, wouldn’t you? You’d be wrong though. It’s Hambone.”—Jack Handey
Does that mean he wants Obama to die valiantly fighting the Empire?
Poor Mark Hamill is getting old.
I don’t really recommend doing this but google “Carrie Fisher” and take a look at what old age has done to her, i.e. mega-babe becomes hog woman.
Don’t blame it all on old age – I understand there were generous quantities of controlled substances involved as well…
Pity. Google ‘Jameson Parker’, another 80′s actor who back then used to look somewhat similar to young Mark Hamill. Parker, aged, rather looks what the old jedi master Luke Skywalker should look like, way more so than Mark Hamill does now. Probably has taken much better care of himself than Hamill has.
Another actor that’s scary is Malcolm McDowell (Little Alex of “Clockwork Orange”). I blinked and he turned into an old man.
Allow me to take exception at this. Nothing wrong with admiring, even revering, someone younger than yourself IF it’s deserved. My hat is off and my sword at service to Paul Ryan anytime, and he’s nine years my junior. And you don’t want to know how I feel about Andrew Breitbart, may his memory be a blessing.
Then again, going gaga over the likes of the incompetent figurehead manque in the White House isn’t commensurate (G-d, I hope it isn’t).
Look, He just an actor. Who gives a dead rats-A$$ what anyone from the entertainment industry has to say? They all make their living in THE WORLD OF MAKE-BELIEVE, remember?
