Identity Politics Recruiting at Holder’s Justice Dept.
Ever since PJ Media’s blockbuster Every Single One Series documented the radical partisan lawyers hired as career civil servants in the Obama DOJ, many have asked me how this is accomplished. One way is that only attorneys are hired who have resumes which have obvious ideological histories. The Every Single One series provided the public copies of these resumes. They are filled with cues that were used in the hiring process to exclude some and include others.
But Eric Holder is also personally furthering the cause of ideological hiring. One way Holder is accomplishing this goal is by recruiting from within identity politics organizations. PJ Media has obtained an announcement from the DOJ internal intranet stating:
“On August 23rd Attorney General Eric Holder deliverred [sic] remarks at the annual Lavender Law Conference in Washington D.C. The conference marked this year’s largest minority recruiting event in the nation, bringing together hundreds of legal practitioners and law students from across the country.
The event included multiple representatives from the Department of Justice, including five U.S. Attorneys, who were introduced by the Attorney General as ‘strong LGBT allies: Melinda Haag, from the Northern District of California; David Hickton, from the Western District of Pennsylvania; Amanda Marshall, from the District of Oregon; Steve Wiggington, from the Southern District of Illinois; and Robert Pitman, from the Western District of Texas.”
Here is the program for the Lavender Law conference Holder attended. Some events included “Building a Queer-Friendly Legal Academy: Accomplishments and the Road Ahead – Sponsored by Patton Boggs LLP,” “Religion-based Arguments Against Legal Protections for LGBT People” and ”LGBT Issues from an African-American Lens – Sponsored by Greenberg Trauig LLP.” Notable is the pervasive sponsorship of the event by large law firms.
Let’s get something straight, pun unintended: there is nothing wrong with hiring gay lawyers. The better question is whether the government should be actively recruiting people based on involvement in an identity politics group. Rest assured, there is no discrimination within the DOJ toward gay, black, or for that matter, transgender lawyers. So the standard excuse that pervasive discrimination demands such steps does not apply here. (See also the in-house version of Lavender Law, DOJ Pride.)
Other high level Department of Justice officials have attended events from other left-leaning organizations to recruit. Each year the Civil Rights Division sends lawyers to other conferences around the country, such as the NAACP conference, to recruit lawyers and law students. These identity politics recruitment efforts have the intentional effect of funneling particular sorts of applicants toward DOJ jobs. Be assured that Holder and his gang aren’t recruiting at conferences sponsored by the NRA. So the ideological hiring program at Holder’s DOJ is done through recruitment at identity politics organizations combined with hiring people who include involvement with ideologically correct groups on their resumes.

ObamaRx is arguably the worst President ever. No argument about Eric the Red Holder. Without a doubt the worst AG. Evah!
Under the guise of inclusion, ‘fairness’, and every other bugaboo, this administration has ushered in a nightmare of radical proportions! In fact, it is Machiavellian in scope. It is as if regular ‘Joe and Jane’ Americans are not worthy of rights, but every made up grievance group has become the American prototype to bow down to.
Well, if one is looking to reshape/transform the U.S., into a mishmash of victim seekers, then the last 4 years have not been for nothing. Brilliant.
By placing all his radical cohorts throughout the administration, and in non- elected posts too, the Radical-in-Chief has assured that time bombs will explode for decades to come. His game plan has been impressive, even though downright evil.
Even if he loses, he wins, and this is the truth. He has almost completed the destruction of the U.S., both economically, socially and foreign policy wise. A trifecta.
The brouhaha over Chik Fil A was about a whole lot more than chicken wings – http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/08/06/the-progressiveregressive-mask-is-slipping-fascism-rears-to-the-fore-yeah-chick-fil-a-commentary-by-adina-kutnicki/ and many need to internalize its real meaning.
And, the above is precisely why half of the electorate is attempting to wrest back the nation from the clutches of anti-American forces at their throats -

There may be “nothing wrong with hiring gay lawyers,” but hiring identity-politics advocates creates a real rogues’ gay-lawyer-y.
Just one question: Why didn’t he stay there and Hold’er?
No answer, but, Vote Romney/Ryan!
The term “Eric Holder’s people” has so many different meanings, all corrupt.
The DOJ just got FAB-U-LUUUUUUUUS!!!

While you’ve been tracking whom DOJ has been hiring and where, have you also noticed whom they haven’t been hiring and where? Until recently, it seemed as though DOJ was quite willing to lose prosecutors. I’ve been told by a few people in a couple of districts that AUSAs were not being replaced as they retired or departed for private practice. One person said that for every three that left, only one was hired because of “budgetary reasons.” Of course, the Civil Rights Division never seemed to be without announced openings. At the DOJ website, there is a link for openings for experienced attorneys. Over the past few years, it seemed as though most of the prosecutor job announcements were for one-year, temporary, UNCOMPENSATED positions for Special AUSAs all across the country. Even now you can see announcements for these unpaid positions. Is there a way for you to determine whether the number of prosecutors has declined in any particular district or across DOJ as a whole? The DOJ website now announces many opening for PAID AUSA positions in many districts. I see this as a sign that the people doing the hiring are picking up as many of their unemployed cronies or children of cronies as they can before an election they fear they’re going to lose. The same thing is happening in DOJ’s Antitrust Division. You won’t find it announced at the DOJ site, but they are closing four offices that are devoted almost entirely to criminal enforcement, again for “budgetary reasons.” In fact, the Antitrust website still lists these offices as though nothing has changed. The myriad civil Antitrust sections (all D.C.-based) are not being touched, and DOJ is now opening a new, second criminal Antitrust unit in Washington. “Budgetary reasons” indeed. It’s more like: all power, control and money to the Capitol.
Mr. J. Christian Adams, here blogs one of your most appreciative readers. So that is the attitude with which I disagree on one statement you made: there is no discrimination in the DOJ toward gay, black, or for that matter, transgender lawyers.
Or would you consider a zero chance for a conservative gay, black or transgender lawyer to be a matter of policy rather than discrimination?

We can now understand more fully why the DoJ holds that the Defense of Marriage Act is unconstitutional, a dead letter. In his dissent, in Lawrence v Texas (2003), Judge Scalia wrote that contrary to his colleagues vehement denials, the novel ruling on an undefined, unexamined “liberty” would lead to gay marriages. In less than a decade, we have gone beyond that. We now have a DoJ who will begin to persecute religious people for holding to their beliefs, due to this ill defined “liberty” which trumped laws based on societal norms. Pastors, who refuse the sacrament of marriage to a same sex couple, will go to jail due to “liberty”. They will be prosecuted by gay DoJ attorneys, who will pick and chose which law they wish to enforce.
We are no longer a nation of laws; it all depends on who is the AG, or his boss. Everything depends on how you grasp the word, “is”, and only lawyers are smart enough to perform this complicated determination.
The wheels fell off a long time ago.
Hmm, Lavender Law, Boldt Hall, Stanford, Harvard…..I’m sorry, what’s the difference between them again? Tuition costs? Geography? Well, we’ve had forty years of hiring predicated on identity politics to achieve those egalitarian adventures in equal outcomes, I presume we now have selective law enforcement procedures to achieve proportionality in conviction rates and prison time? Well, since males do 90% of the crime and time, maybe leaving latch key kids unsupervised by the single female parent should be upgraded to felony child abuse deserving prison time? Maybe the consenting 17 year old female “victim” of misdemeanor statutory rape should be treated in the same manner as her 18 year old boyfriend who gets time for diddling Maria while Maria skates? Maybe the girls under the age of consent who get pregnant should be treated as felons in the interest of achieving similar conviction outcomes and custodial representation as males?
You’re off mark here Don, but let me go you one further: whenever children are neglected, pick up the absent deadbeat dad and throw him in prison too.
Why should women be held to a higher standard than men? Fill the prisons with losers who let the state (us) raise their kids. Most of them are gloming off the same public housing,, so they’re pretty easy to find. Now, back to Holder’s Justice Department: this extreme identity politics regime doesn’t just fill law school faculties and other institutions with increasingly radical sorts: it steers our justice system deeper and deeper into a vortex within which identity politics itself is a prerequisite for any action.
I remember shuddering back when Eric Holder pounded the table and declared that nobody had the right to debate hate crime laws, back during Clinton’s DOJ. “Don’t let anyone tell you they aren’t worse than other crimes,” he shouted, “they are worse!” End of discussion. The secret is to avoid real debate.
Who is that beside Eric Holder? Pat?
Yeah, call him Patsy not Patrick or he/she will take you to court.
Why isn’t it on Romney’s campaign?
“Restorative justice” retribution against straight folk now! (No one’ll be able to file/win discrimination cases against gay folk now… open season on STR8 people now.)
