Losing It in Charlotte
Lee Atwater couldn’t have written a better script for the Democratic National Convention that just ended in Charlotte. The Charlotte fiasco was a less violent version of the fiasco in Chicago in 1968, except the lunacy was now inside the venue, not outside.
Tom Brokaw shares the story of how Hubert Humphrey lost the 1968 election after Americans watched television images of the young radicals in Grant Park scaling statues and flying the Viet Cong flag. At that moment, Americans fully appreciated the lawless direction that some wanted to take the country and saw Richard Nixon as the antidote.
The young radicals of 1968 have become the old radicals who now control the Democrat Party. They put on a convention this week characterized by incompetence, radicalism, and race.
President Obama’s lackluster speech was the least of the DNC’s problems. Convention week was plagued by all the drama and broken expectations of Waiting for Guffman. The empty powder-puff blue seats of Bank of America Stadium are the symbolic image of the lost hope from 2008. When it became clear those blue seats would dominate the coverage of Obama’s Thursday speech, the incompetent operatives at the DNC panicked. The DNC hastily arranged busloads of bodies from black churches for hundreds of miles to arrive in Charlotte to fill the empty seats.
But Guffman never arrived, and neither did President Obama at the stadium. Rain, you see, was in the forecast. Except it wasn’t. The Greek columns of 2008 are a long, disappointing bus ride home in 2012.
Then Julia Rodriguez, a credentialed convention delegate from New York (but waving a Puerto Rican flag and sporting a button seeking statehood), said on camera she “would like to kill” Mitt Romney. The unseemly radicals chanting in the Chicago park were now inside the hall in Charlotte.
The “Ride for Justice” bus from “No Papers, No Fear” rolled into Charlotte to keep the fiasco humming. This outfit is an illegal alien pressure group. Yes, in 2012, we now have open and well-funded organizations representing people committing crimes. In fact, the bus was full of illegal aliens openly touting their illegal status! Naturally, they were welcomed with open arms by the DNC because they are supporting President Obama’s lawless immigration policies. Local authorities arrested ten of them outside the convention for state crimes and turned them over to federal authorities, who then promptly released them.
Lawlessness has become policy. Instead of the radicals tearing Chicago apart, they now have the power to order the release of lawbreakers.
No fiasco is complete without Joe Biden. Even Biden’s dad, the vice president told us, respected President Obama. Joseph Biden Sr. must have come to this conclusion on a trip to Springfield, Illinois, to meet state Senator Obama prior to 2002 when Biden the elder died.
Charlotte also revealed the lie of the post-racial Obama presidency. On the floor, delegates openly sported “Vote Black” buttons.
I was reminded of a Voting Rights Act case I tried in Mississippi where the United States actually put up nearly identical evidence to demonstrate the rotten racial intent of a Democrat operative named Ike Brown. “Keep Hope Alive, Vote Black in ’95” was his message. That sentiment isn’t confined to the bowels of Mississippi anymore. Now some of the elite of the Democrat Party have made the November election all about race. America, take careful note. (Of course this unapologetic racialism was no surprise to me or anyone else who has read my book Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department.)
But booing God will be the image from the Charlotte fiasco that will last longer than all the rest. This week, America saw a new kind of Democrat Party, one totally unmoored from the long cultural traditions of Democrats and Republicans alike.
The Charlotte screenplay borrowed from the Gospels, where delegates weren’t content to deny God’s return to the platform only once. Three times they yelled – “NO!! NO!!” – not me, never heard of the guy.
At least Peter felt ashamed after his three denials. I doubt very much the clowns captured on TV standing and yelling “NO” as loudly as they could feel any shame. And because Los Angles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa literally had the single vote and predetermined outcome scripted on his teleprompter, it makes you wonder who’s doing these rewrites.
Ever notice how lefties react to the period predictions that whites will become a minority in the US by some future date? People who truly don’t give a rip about skin color look at those predictions and shrug — or roll their eyes. But the left goes nuts, ecstatic over the idea.
Exactly! They love to screech and sneer that they will “outbreed” us and wipe us off the face of the Earth. I often wonder why white people in America are so oblivious to this. They just lay back and take it like chumps.
I’m not “anti” any other race but the Democrats and their so-called “multiculturalism” are quite specifically anti white. Why do white people vote for them?
Mostly I roll my eyes at the “outbreed” leftists because if there’s anything to the phenomenon, it’s right wingers outbreeding leftists. That makes their advocacy of the strategy just unintentional comedy.
Immigration is the trump card, Hispanics have more children than Anglos.
In Europe, Muslims are vastly more fertile than the indigenous Europeans.
In many ways we are lucky to have Hispanic European-Mestizo Catholics as our immigrant problem. Much less long term damage, though there are still issues.
That’s because the white cracker is paying for the vermin to breed and depriving ourselves of the resources to have our own children. This was done to us by DESIGN. Fed up with hearing about how we, native Americans, have to put up with our reps pandering to the newly arrived. Minority bootlicking is the order of the day and we had better get used to it. Here’s a simple soution: KEEP THEM OUT. Change our immigration policy and bring in people who can no longer be sliced and diced and treated as if they are more deserving of the rest of us. Institute a no-labels immigration policy. The wonder of it all is that the Republicans are MAKING THEMSELVES EXTINCT by continuing to support the importation of people who would promptly swell the ranks of their opposition once they get here. Why? ARE THEY SO DAMNED TERRIFIED OF BEING CALLED RACISTS? Yeah. That’s why. And so they are bringing in more and more who will become useful tools and fools for the true race baiters in this country. We need a revival of immigrants FROM EUROPE. So the left will have less ammunition. Call me a racist. Don’t give a rat’s ass. The future of my country is at stake and it’s about time that we state the obvious: there are some peoples and cultures that are far SUPERIOR to the skell we have been bringing in for 40 years.

Since the Dems copped out of Bank of America Stadium, and by doing so set the record for empty seats, couldn’t we rename Bank of America Stadium Eastwood Stadium to honor the man who started it?

I tend to agree with Roger Simon – these numskulls weren’t booing the inclusion of God, they were booing the mention of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Still, this speaks volumes that they would react in such a way to a statement of support for the only true democracy, and the only reliable US ally, in the entire Middle East.
It was so obvious that the ammendment did not pass in the voice vote, yet it was declared to have passed. It was this fact that motivated the booing, not either of the specific issues. It is bad enough that the platform needed the revision (platform commitee is out-of-touch) and that the majority of the people voted against the revision.
Calling them Democrats is an oxymoron when they cannot even follow the democratic process at their convention. Having a president who ignors the law and the democratic process is a bad idea. This fact alone is enough to not vote for him again.

In days of yore, there was a much-sought-after appointment among the king’s attendants known as “Groom of the Stool”. This appointment’s duties included having to clean the king’s bum as the tradeoff for being in his closest confidence. It seems this position has been revived and is now called “Attorney General of the US”. If so, perhaps we now know what Holder has really been holding all this time.
I assume that “once you vote Black you can’t ever go back” will be the battle cry of Black rioters when they go on a rampage after Obama loses, which is exactly what the likes of Chris Matthews and the rest of the Left wing media have been gearing them up for, with their endless references to racist dog whistles.
There is no doubt in my mind that there will be massive race riots if Obama loses. Cities are going to burn and alot of people will die. Mark my words and stock up on ammo. Best place to be will be far out in the suburbs or rural areas with lots of well armed neighbors.
I don’t think there will be riots from the election results. But they are there, bubbling under the surface, just waiting for a trigger, stoked by the rhetoric of so many people, and a bad economy, and a lack of morality. With many acts already happening (but just not being reported), it is only a matter of time.
I may well be wrong but I personally doubt it. I think there will be a sigh of relief from the black community. The usual suspects will be screeching on the airwaves but for the most part there will be crickets.

There were just as many embarrassing empty chairs during the London Olympics. The organizers’ solution: conscript British soldiers to sit in them. Looks like the Dems borrowed that idea by busing in blacks and illegals.
Much the same thing happened at the 2010 World Cup in S. Africa during the group stages. To avoid embarrassing pictures of empty seats, the gates were opened to everyone soon after the games started. It was amusing to see a half-full stadium 25 minutes into the game suddenly fill to capacity by halftime. Security concerns prevented the DNC from adopting this tactic.

My dearest friend–who happens to be liberal–was at our house last night as we watched the President’s speech. It was an almost-superhuman effort on my part to keep my thoughts to myself. But when I couldn’t help pointing out the irony that while the Dems say the Republicans are waging a “war on women” they chose BILL CLINTON of all people (!!) as their keynote speaker. My friend looked confused. I went on, “Well, we all know about Bill Clinton and the way he treated women!” My friend acted insulted and retorted: “But that doesn’t have anything to do with his policies!” A classic.

It’s pretty crazy when a political party trying to convince us there is a republican “war on women” has as 2 of its stellar stars a guy who left a woman to drown at the bottom of a pond (he took the ferry across back to his hotel and had breakfast with some guy at 7 a.m. the following morning) and another guy who bragged about “hundreds” of affairs while married (probably thousands by now) and was only proven trashing the Oral Office because of a stain on a blue dress.
Billy Jeff was never condemned by the hypocritical National Organization For Women because he was so into their “issues”, like employers providing childcare in the workplace.
Reportedly, John Kerry was quite a serial womanizer himself, between marriages to heiresses.
Just this lineup should convince the average person that the Democrat party is the party of losers.

Here’s the issue. Does what occured at the Democrat Convention matter to the outcome? It mattered after Chicago in 1968. Will the goings on in Charlotte influence voters on November 6?
Polling seems to indicate a very close race. The Republican Convention didn’t seem to influence the numbers much. My bet is that Charlotte won’t either.
I sense that polling may be an inaccurate indicator of what may happen in November. Many of the polls over sample Democrats. I also suspect that the “closet Tory” effect may be in play. Remember, in 1992 John Major was supposed to lose according to the polls, but he won fairly handily. We see the same polling inaccuracy in our country when gay marriage is the issue. The media lables people bigots if they are traditional. I suspect the same phenomenon may be occuring in polling regarding a black President.
Obama has a demonstrated record of consistent failure. The issue is whether he will be held to account by enough voters on a state by state basis. I’m not sure the shenanigans in Charlotte matter much.
I’d love it if Mr. Adams could expound further as to why I might be wrong.

Ignore the polls (especially those conducted by the MSM). They long ago changed their mission from reflecting popular opinion to influencing it. Rigging polls is easy enough — cherry-pick the respondents, ask loaded questions, etc. The following textbook example happened quite awhile ago, but IMHO it’s as pertinent as ever:
In 1995 the school board in Brevard County (FL) wanted to stick the residents with a nine-figure bond issue (and the huge tax hikes to pay for it). About 10 days before the referendum, the county’s leftist rag published a poll it had conducted showing pretty solid support (48% for, 40% against, 12% undecided). “VOTERS LEAN TOWARD BOND”, trumpeted the headline. The actual vote: nearly 3-to-1 against!
A few days later a letter to the editor asked, “Who did you guys poll, the teachers’ union? Was (the superintendent) helping with the phones?” The writer was being sarcastic, of course, but he was probably also right. There’s simply no way an honest poll could be that grossly wrong. Either they rigged the poll as described above, or they took an honest one, shredded it when they saw the massive opposition, and published a phony poll with out-of-thin-air numbers.
Of course, exit polls are even easier to rig than pre-election polls, since by definition they exclude absentee and early voters.
Most of the polls (other than the ones that grossly oversample dems) show a dead heat. However there are 2 pro romney factors that do not show up in most polls. First, repubs are more likely to vote, especially in a year like this where they are fired up to oust Obama, and dems are dispirited by the terible economic news. Second, undecided voters tend to break for the challenger. I think each of those factors will add a total of 6% to romneys margin, leading to a final 53% to 47% romney victory. This underlying knowledge of what will probably happen is what is leading to the shrill dem desperation.

I await any arguments that they have shown that they will be good citizens and obey the Law and the Constitution; given what we have seen for the last 4 years, emphasized by what we have seen for the last 3 days.

Mayor Stalin knew very well it’s not who votes that determines elections, it’s who COUNTS the votes. So his position ‘won’. But it’s amusing to think of the endless future replays of those farcial ‘votes’, used against them as evidence of the authoritarian intentions of the current Democrat party.
A certain delicious irony, there, as the most-extreme part of the DNC delegates got the same “we’ll recount the voting until we get the result we want” treatment as Republicans have in many other elections. Wonder how they like it!

“Government is the only thing we all belong to.” This tin ear statement in Charlotte’s video welcoming the delegates went viral. The DNC and OfA ran from it like plague. But Peter Schiff demonstrated that many delegates actually liked being owned by government.
“Debbi Downer Denies.” She fouled her nest by putting words in Michael Oren’s mouth. The embassy rejected her claim. Then she denied having said what she said, called Phil Klein a liar; when he played back the tape, she refused to apologize. PLUS she denied any conflict on the floor over the platform amendments, prompting Anderson Cooper to laugh and accuse her of living in an “alternate reality.”
“Sandra Fluke in Primetime.” After the floor fight, Sandra Fluke’s stilted and needy whinefest was allowed to bleed into the 10 o’clock hour.
“Cory Booker.” He busted his wrist, played the race card, plumped for abortion and condoms, all before entering the hall. In his first chance to speak to a national television audience, he was bombastic and rushed in his delivery, stepping on every applause line. As a leader of the platform committee, he got wrapped around the axle on the references to “God” and “Jerusalem.” Then had to ‘fess up for that fiasco, while Ax and Jarrett piled blame on him and his co-conspirator, Ted Strickland.
“Abortion Fest 2012.” Making abortion so central to the proceedings in Charlotte will come back to haunt the Dems. This is the worst convention theme since the San Francisco Democrats’ tax fest in 1984.
“Big Dog vs Cowboys vs Giants.” Why, oh why, did the DNC schedule Clinton against the Wednesday night NFL game? He was there to reach working class white males.
“Big Dog vs Slow Joe vs The One.” Both Clinton and Biden upstaged the President seeking re-election. How did they manage that?
“Jennifer Granholm Joins LPWA.” Her trash talking was as awkwardly and woodenly delivered as any of the ladies of professional wrestling hyping the next throw down. It was grossly unappealing to the TV audience. She was a banshee.
I am still *delighted* that the Dems picked That Is Why The Sandra is a Fluke as their poster child. Her only claim to fame is her demand that someone else be forced to subsidize her sex life. In that respect, she’s the perfect spokesperson for today’s Democratic Party.
Please take note, all ye reflexive (D) voters who still retain some sense of sanity and decency.
Well, I watched the football game, didn’t think I would miss anything important at the convention. Seems like I made the right choice. I voted for “Hope and Change” once. Now, like any sane person, I am just hoping for a change.
