At the American Spectator, Stacy McCain spots an example of Ruling Class Journalism at its finest:

When a Republican consultant tried to interest a reporter for the Torrance (Calif.) Daily Breeze in GOP challenger Mattie Fein’s response to a story about Rep. Jane Harman, the reporter’s reply was blunt:

“Don’t call or e-mail us – we’ll call you if we’re interested. And if you haven’t got it yet, we’re not interested.”

Amy Miller of Red State says: “If this surprises you, you are not paying attention.”

If I was Fein’s campaign manager, I’d call up Newsweek and say, “Have I got a story for you!”

Oh wait…

  2. Newsweek didn’t call but the Washington Post did.
    Stay tuned! Mattie Fein

That’s “free press” and “free speech” for the Journolistin’ airheads.
