"It's official," I wrote back in March, "the United States is now a terror-sponsoring nation."
But now it's so much worse.
Back then, it was merely Alleged Vice President Kamala Harris warning Israel that conducting military operations in Rafah would constitute crossing a "red line" and that the White House was considering withholding arms shipments to Israel if it didn't halt counteroffensive operations.
If that wasn't bad enough — but don't worry, it still gets worse — the Biden administration quickly moved against Israel in the UN. UN ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield abstained in a vote demanding Israel conduct a unilateral Ramadan ceasefire — a resolution that the U.S. would ordinarily veto.
Last month's omnibus aid bill contained $9.1 billion for Hamas, which is just the latest example of one of my favorite bitter memes.
If you're unfamiliar with that famous image, those are Israeli Iron Dome rocket interceptors on the left and Hezbollah (or Hamas, I can't remember which) rockets on the right.
Because as the superpower that once strode across the world as the best and most powerful representative of the only socio-political system left standing after our victory in the Cold War, our foreign policy since then could best be described as "schizophrenic."
After using Harris as his surrogate to twist the Israeli government's arm and giving political cover to Hamas at the UN and pumping Hamas full of financial life support, Presidentish Joe Biden kept telling people how "ironclad" his support of Israel is. Maybe he meant boat anchor.
How things got so much worse was a two-step process. The first step made big headlines late Monday and was probably best summed up by PJ Media's own Robert Spencer:
The Associated Press reported Wednesday that Biden and his henchmen “paused a shipment of bombs to Israel last week over concerns that the country was approaching a decision on launching a full-scale assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah against the wishes of the U.S., Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Wednesday.”
If that weren't bad enough, Robert wrote, "The Biden regime is so livid at the prospect of Israel moving against Hamas’ last stronghold that it is leaving it short of the arms it thought it could count on having at the beginning of the operation."
But that was all just a prelude to today's big news: Day Before Biden Admin Announced It Would Withhold Weapons From Israel, It Issued Sanctions Waiver To Allow Arms Sales to Qatar and Lebanon.
To put this as simply as possible, Biden is allowing previously verboten arms sales to states that boycott Israel. What happens to those arms once they reach s***hole countries like Qatar and Lebanon is anyone's guess, but my guess is that more than a few end up with Hamas.
During a shooting war with Hamas that Hamas started by murdering 1,200 civilians (including more than a few who were raped to death), and kidnapping another 250 — most of whom are probably dead.
And thus, under Joe Biden, America's once-great foreign policy has slipped down the ranks from schizophrenic to evil.
To his credit, Israeli PM Bibi Netanyahu said Tuesday, "If we must stand alone, if we must fight with only our fingernails, we shall."
That means more dead on both sides, and every extra drop of blood spilled is on Biden's hands.
