With that squished trunk lid and extremely ovoid grill, it reminds me most of a late-’90s Ford (or Mercury) Taurus (or Sable). TTAC reports some nice powertrain options and a nine-speed transmission mated to a trick AWD system able to deliver from 0%-60% of the twisties to the back wheels.

As a Camry/Accord fighter, it might do well if FIAT can overcome a couple stigmas regarding bailouts and Italian ownership.
