Google Buys Nest for $3.2 Billion

That’s a lot of simoleons for such a young company — but with the Nest thermostat and now the Nest smoke detector, they’re a forward-looking company with two great products and no filler.

Nest was founded by former Apple iPod guru Tony Fadell, and I think Apple may come to regret not moving first on this acquisition.
