This is the newest member of the family, Remy the Pirate Girl. “Remy” because Melissa noticed she has cognac eyes. “Pirate Girl” because that’s what my three-year-old wanted. We’ll get an eyepatch for her for Halloween.

Until just a few weeks ago, Remy was a stray, picked up by Golden Retriever Freedom Recuse. They do great work, and I can’t thank her wonderful foster family enough. She loves the grownups, loves the kids, tolerates the cat, and mostly stays off the sofa when we’re looking.
She’s a good girl.
