Fox, CNN, and Ruffini are all trending a Coleman (R) win. The Republicans might just get an absolute Senate majority.

If so, don’t expect much to come out of the new Senate, other than (finally) some Federal judges — most of whom I would rather live without.

But if Bush has coattails, we could see a Democratic Presidential race situation similar to 1991, when Bush I seemed unassailable. In other words, the clout of every major Dem just went down, opening the field for some relatively unknown Dem to win the Presidential nomination in 2004.
