ORLANDO, FL — British Member of the European Parliament Daniel Hannan spoke at the Defending the American Dream Summit hosted by Americans for Prosperity on Saturday, and among other things, he actually thanked Barack Obama for the success of Brexit. Here’s his reasoning:

Besides thanking Obama for the success of the Leave vote, Hannan also said that the “David and Goliath” analogy actually doesn’t go far enough — the supporters of Brexit were more like David against Goliath AND a Philistine army.
