Despite protests organized by angry Hillary voters, Ivanka Trump’s clothing line is reporting record sales.
“Since the beginning of February, they were some of the best performing weeks in the history of the brand,” Abigail Klem, the president of the Ivanka Trump fashion brand, tells Refinery29 in an interview published Tuesday. “For several different retailers Ivanka Trump was a top performer online, and in some of the categories it was the [brand’s] best performance ever.”
The Ivanka Trump brand was dropped from Nordstrom as well as Neiman Marcus, T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, following the presidential election. The companies said the brand wasn’t selling well for the stores.
But a liberal group called “Grab Your Wallet” instructed people to stop buying Ivanka’s products and pressured retailers carrying her brand to stop or face a boycott as well.
According to the e-commerce aggregator Lyst, from January to February, Ivanka Trump sales increased 346 percent, Refinery29 writes.
Ivanka has taken a leave of absence from her company following the election of her father to the presidency, saying she would “no longer be involved with the management or operations” of her company.
