MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough — who passionately supported Donald Trump during the Republican primaries but turned against him immediately after the billionaire had the nomination locked up — says that The Donald asked a foreign policy adviser three times during a briefing why he couldn’t just use nuclear bombs against America’s enemies.
“Three times he asked about the use of nuclear weapons. Three times he asked, at one point, ‘If we have them, why can’t we use them?’”
“That’s one of the reasons why he just doesn’t have foreign policy experts around him,” Scarborough concluded. “Three times, in an hour briefing, ‘Why can’t we use nuclear weapons?’”
With any other Republican candidate I’d call this scaremongering, but in Trump’s case I actually fear Scarborough may very well be telling the truth. After all, anyone who has ever listened to one of Trump’s rambling, narcissistic speeches knows: this guy is batcrap crazy.

No, Donald, you can’t use nuclear weapons just because you happen to have them. There’s a reason they aren’t used on a massive scale: they’re weapons of mass destruction that cause suffering on a massive, unacceptable scale. The only possible reason to use them is if one of America’s enemies is using them and there’s no other option (of self-defense) left.
I’m as hawkish as anyone, but this isn’t merely foolish, it’s downright insane. May God help America and the rest of the world if this man wins the elections.
