#NeverTrump Means #NeverTrump

I agree wholeheartedly with this piece by David Harsanyi. Money quote:

Although others on this site and elsewhere have used it, this Alexander Hamilton quote is perfect for the situation: “If we must have an enemy at the head of government let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible.” It was the constitutional idealism of the Tea Party that held back Democrats and establishment GOPers from working together to expand the reach of government. A turn to white identity politics and anger is turn away from that idealism.

I’m Dutch, a conservative libertarian, and an Amerophile. As such I don’t get to vote in American elections. I do get to defend and spread my values and principles however; principles that are, ironically, inherently American.

As such, I will not waste one breath, one sentence, or even one letter defending Trump against the upcoming Democratic onslaught. The man is a progressive, a bully; he’s a pathological liar, a vulgarian, and a nasty brute without any moral compass whatsoever.

I despise the man and everything he stands for (which is: himself). If you think I’ll do a 180 and suddenly start writing positively about him just because Hillary Clinton is a wackjob, you’ve got something else coming your way.
