It’s no secret that Donald Trump likes to insult his political adversaries on both sides of the aisle. He also attacks media personalities, celebrities, news outlets and entire countries. The New York Times took the time to compile a lengthy list of 205 people, places and things The Donald has insulted on Twitter. The list includes such luminaries as Rhonda Rousey (“not a nice person!”), Arianna Huffington (“dummy,” “liberal clown”), Bernard Goldberg (“not good,” “just doesn’t know about winning”), Erick Erickson (“a major sleaze and buffoon”), Cokie Roberts (“kooky” “even dumber”) and of course Megyn Kelly (whose list of insults is to lengthy to include here).
Trump is a human, less-tactful version of Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog (minus the cigar).
One of his specialties this campaign season has been giving his political opponents insulting nicknames, like “Little Marco” for Marco Rubio and “Lyin’ Ted” for Ted Cruz. Finally, over the weekend, he came up with a moniker for the Democrat front-runner, Hillary Clinton. Trump uncorked his new nickname for Hillary during a campaign rally in Dexter, New York, labeling her “crooked Hillary.”
“I’m not controlled by the special interests and the lobbyists. And they control crooked Hillary, and they control lyin’ Ted Cruz, right?” he said.
The GOP front-runner had earlier teased the possibility of nicknaming Hillary Clinton in a special interview on Hannity, saying “a pretty good one” would soon be revealed.
When asked to respond to Trump’s latest insult, Clinton told ABC News she “really could care less” about the new nickname — which is good because chances are good that he’ll be using it a lot.
